    The best travel vids on the utube . Don't change. 👌

    I was so glad to discover this video. In the early '70s I worked as a Jackeroo at Minnie Creek station and bought a stumpy-tailed smithfield dog from Mt Augustus station! It is a part of WA that has a great nostalgia for me and your video demonstrates that area well! Thanks....not so the flies!

    You know it's bad when there isn't a shift change but an overlap between flies and mossies. Great video as always!

      I remember us rating the "7 pests of Australia" in order of nuance once... I think bush flies made number one. I can highly recommend South Australia's Outback in winter though - no pests at all!

    Absolutely spectacular entertainment. Your films are infinitely better than the usual drivel on American TV. Thank you both for creating such informative content.

    Loved it guys. You seem to continually 'one up' yourselves with each new video. I can totally sympathise with the flies as I have spent quite a bit of time around that area. Mr Foreman reminds me of me. Trying to tough it out without a fly net when the boss tells you to wear one. Never whining else she says "I told you so". Keep them coming, I'm addicted.

      +stevenz300 greetings Stevenz. Thanks for the comments. More on their way. Ningaloo coming up in a few weeks. I'm hearing you on the flies. I ended up caving in a wearing a net. Dreadful creatures.

    Top quality vids people, am loving the education and humour along with the 4WDing and hating the fact that Im stuck here running a failing business in central western QLD and cant get out to explore this ridiculously super awesome country of ours. at least I have a chance to watch yours as I don't have any customers to serve haha. I also see you have gone away from the split rim and moved to a tubeless, I hope this has made life on the road easier for you.

      We've relocated to the states and have a discovery 2 also. So far it's been a complete lemon but a lot of work has made it semi reliable and I really like it. There is still a bit more work to do but I reckon they're a great trick.

    Suggest you share your videos with the Discovery Channel, History Channel, HBO, Hall Mark, etc. here in the USA. Your videos are high quality and first class entertainment. I think advertisers would want to sponsor you both.

      Morning to you Mike. The Gascoyne is croc free. One still has to go a long way north before the rivers become dangerous. The coastline becomes moderately risky north of Karratha though there are plenty of sharks along the west coast to keep the swimmer interested. We shall look into your suggestion about sharing the videos, we have been very lazy on the self promotion aspect of things. Cheers.

    Jam, butter and honey on Damper? Noooooo, you need to educate Ms Wilms better, it’s cockies joy or nothing. For the non fair dinkum aussies, cockies joy is a colloquism (how do you spell that word) for Golden Syrup, preferably made by CSR Bundaberg from the extracts of Queensland Sugar Cane. Enjoying your show.

    • @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
      @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures  5 років тому

      I'm not even familiar with the term 'cockies joy' but I like it. Golden Syrup was wonderful stuff, brings back fond memories. One bonus is they do sell Vegemite over here if one knows where to look.

    How much fuel do you carry? What is the liter size of your engine? Thank you.

    • @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
      @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures  8 років тому

      Hey there Mike. The engine in the Landy is a rd5 but what the literage is I confess to not knowing. We've a long range tank holding 110 ltrs and can go anywhere from 500 to 750 or so kms depending on the conditions and if we're towing the van. For the gibb and elsewhere I normally have an extra 40 ltrs on board for emergency. The gibb and farther north does have fuel stops. Mt Barnett, Drysdale station and Kalumburu has fuel. El quesro station on the eastern side also has fuel so I don't recall actually using our reserve stocks. Still I'd recommend carrying a little extra, it's better than the alternative if you run out. That would be a bugger. Cheers.
