The best travel vids on the utube . Don't change. 👌
I was so glad to discover this video. In the early '70s I worked as a Jackeroo at Minnie Creek station and bought a stumpy-tailed smithfield dog from Mt Augustus station! It is a part of WA that has a great nostalgia for me and your video demonstrates that area well! Thanks....not so the flies!
You know it's bad when there isn't a shift change but an overlap between flies and mossies. Great video as always!
I remember us rating the "7 pests of Australia" in order of nuance once... I think bush flies made number one. I can highly recommend South Australia's Outback in winter though - no pests at all!
Paul Hogan has found his successor. Great stuff. The yarn at the camp fire at the start was epic. :D
Greetings there. I don't reckon I'm quite as good as Paul hogan, just more handsome. Glad you liked the films. Cheers.
Absolutely spectacular entertainment. Your films are infinitely better than the usual drivel on American TV. Thank you both for creating such informative content.
+evilunclestu Cheers UncleSTu. Working on number 3 as we speak.
Great and informative.....awesome sense of humour.....on ya mate 👍
Absolutely love all your videos, so informative . The humour is outstanding, thank you so much. Cheers Tony
Thank you for sharing
Thank you once a again guys, a thoroughly enjoyable episode to watch.
+craig thulborn Cheers Craig. Always a pleasure.
Loved it guys. You seem to continually 'one up' yourselves with each new video. I can totally sympathise with the flies as I have spent quite a bit of time around that area. Mr Foreman reminds me of me. Trying to tough it out without a fly net when the boss tells you to wear one. Never whining else she says "I told you so". Keep them coming, I'm addicted.
+stevenz300 greetings Stevenz. Thanks for the comments. More on their way. Ningaloo coming up in a few weeks. I'm hearing you on the flies. I ended up caving in a wearing a net. Dreadful creatures.
thank you for detail video
enjoyed every minute! waiting for the next episode..
+Robert Hansson Greetings Robert. New episode should be online in a few weeks hopefully. Thanks for the comments.
bloody fantastic guys, very enjoyable thanks,
+itll doo Cheers and thanks!
Top quality vids people, am loving the education and humour along with the 4WDing and hating the fact that Im stuck here running a failing business in central western QLD and cant get out to explore this ridiculously super awesome country of ours. at least I have a chance to watch yours as I don't have any customers to serve haha. I also see you have gone away from the split rim and moved to a tubeless, I hope this has made life on the road easier for you.
More great work. I particularly liked the intro to the dreamtime.
+Ern Reeders Thanks Ern for the comment. Always a pleasure.
Excellent stuff! Funny, informative and endlessly interesting....
Thanks Michael. Cheers.
Cxcellent (as always) a hug from Portugal!
+Sérgio André Hug accepted. Thanks Sergio.
Bloody loving this channel mate, so glad i found it, inspirational and a hoot to watch ya bastard .... I'm a Landie tragic myself
Cheers Dave. Glad you like it. Landys are pretty good. Do you own a defender?
Foreman and Wilms Adventures No mate. I have a Discovery 2 Td5. Heavily modified and set up as a tourer.
We've relocated to the states and have a discovery 2 also. So far it's been a complete lemon but a lot of work has made it semi reliable and I really like it. There is still a bit more work to do but I reckon they're a great trick.
Truck! Spell check turned it into trick but I ment truck.
Foreman and Wilms Adventures They're very comfortable and very capable off-road. Just keep up with the maintenance. Shame the Td5 wasn't available over there.
Enjoy watching you guys. Great stuff.
Great videos , would love to see more.
Great video. I enjoyed watching. Those flies are just too much!!
+rblood50 Greetings rBlood. thanks for the comments. The flies are horrid. I thought I was hardened to them but that was beyond what I call fun. Cheers.
Great stuff and some of that close up wildlife footage was amazing.
+thesausagesandwich Thanks for the comments. Got some more coming up. The prize is an echidna who walks right up to the camera lens.
Love the poetry:) Very entertaining 💯
Thanks Det. Sorry for late reply. Glad you enjoyed the films.
Nice! My friends from Perth just taught me how to make damper last month, road tripping through Tanzania. Staple!
Great stuff keep them coming, very professionally done and very good content.
+richardtww Cheers Richard. Our pleasure.
Lol those frisky budgies😂
Suggest you share your videos with the Discovery Channel, History Channel, HBO, Hall Mark, etc. here in the USA. Your videos are high quality and first class entertainment. I think advertisers would want to sponsor you both.
Morning to you Mike. The Gascoyne is croc free. One still has to go a long way north before the rivers become dangerous. The coastline becomes moderately risky north of Karratha though there are plenty of sharks along the west coast to keep the swimmer interested. We shall look into your suggestion about sharing the videos, we have been very lazy on the self promotion aspect of things. Cheers.
just come across your channel, really enjoying these videos, the content and execution is superb. Right, where's episode 3..............
+Pete Vickerstaff Greetings Pete. Thanks for the comments. Hope you liked episode 3. We're working on a big canoe adventure in the florida everglades that could be out in a few days with luck. Episode 4 of western walkabout is more than half way done and should be out in a few weeks.
Good morning,
Love the videos. The best. Very detailed.
Are there Crocs in the Gascoyne River?
Jam, butter and honey on Damper? Noooooo, you need to educate Ms Wilms better, it’s cockies joy or nothing. For the non fair dinkum aussies, cockies joy is a colloquism (how do you spell that word) for Golden Syrup, preferably made by CSR Bundaberg from the extracts of Queensland Sugar Cane. Enjoying your show.
I'm not even familiar with the term 'cockies joy' but I like it. Golden Syrup was wonderful stuff, brings back fond memories. One bonus is they do sell Vegemite over here if one knows where to look.
👍👍
How much fuel do you carry? What is the liter size of your engine? Thank you.
Hey there Mike. The engine in the Landy is a rd5 but what the literage is I confess to not knowing. We've a long range tank holding 110 ltrs and can go anywhere from 500 to 750 or so kms depending on the conditions and if we're towing the van. For the gibb and elsewhere I normally have an extra 40 ltrs on board for emergency. The gibb and farther north does have fuel stops. Mt Barnett, Drysdale station and Kalumburu has fuel. El quesro station on the eastern side also has fuel so I don't recall actually using our reserve stocks. Still I'd recommend carrying a little extra, it's better than the alternative if you run out. That would be a bugger. Cheers.
Pretty sure its a 2.5L
that is what the Geologist say that it is the largest Monocline in the world ,But to a traveller ,he may not understand that and prefer Uluru
Him. Dat bloke, he sound likes wanna us mob! He a,right ey! Make us laugh , he good bloke ey! 👍🙂🤙
don't bring an apron either lol.
Well - got us off to a bad start. Suggest u take down that beginning intro regarding the ancestral guardians of that Land. Then go with an open mind and heart and meet some original elders! They'd get ya to take down that offensive intro. Then let them do the talking.
Opinions are like arseholes....everyone has one
