    Today I stumbled upon your channel via the 1957 resto. I knew you were an Aussie immediately and love your humour. I have started to watch your vids from the oldest and am impressed by the transition from amateur to professional productions. The bird shots are unique and form an extra dimension to these types of vids. I hope you both continue to capture images of locations and wildlife wherever you visit. Many who try doing what you are doing might well watch your work and learn from it. Your Aussie humour is akin to Paul Hogan and is extremely entertaining. I look forward to your future postings. Cheers from Oz.

      Greetings Grahame. Glad you like the films, we do aim to showcase the places we go and the creatures that live there rather than ourselves. The wildlife stuff is a lot of fun, has all the aspects of hunting but a better outcome for all concerned. Making progress on the restoration, slow progress but progress nonetheless.

    Awesome video you two! What a wonderful showcase of all the wildlife in that area, I love all the footage you got. I grew up in that mallee scrub around the wheat belt so it brings back fond memories, especially the little thorny devil and his blue steel gaze. ;)
    I can't believe you even saw a mallee fowl! Brilliant. Myself and some friends are going to do the Holland track shortly, first week of September, really looking forward to it.
    You guys are mint, keep up the great work!

    Great video Mr Foreman and Ms Wilms. Having done the Holland Track and around to Cave Rock through to Lake Johnstone back in 2014 I was amazed at how much the landscape changed as we travelled north from Hyden to Coolgardie (emergency pitstop due to a puncture in the sidewall of the Cooper AT3). I was expecting red dirt as far as the eye can see, so was amazed to see white beach sand, yellow sand, Eucalypts, thickets and scrub in the middle of nowhere. Truly amazing country !Also credit to the Land Cruiser club of WA for the upkeep and preservation of this iconic WA track.

    • @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures

      Greetings Pajman. A sidewall tear in a cooper smells terribly expensive to me. I recall amazement at how well vegetated our continent is. Even the Simpson desert has a good covering of spinifex grass. The endless plains of red dirt are a bit of a 'miff'. Some interesting terrain I've encountered was the gibber plains on the eastern side of the Simpson. I think it's called channel country. Having digressed a lot that Holland track was indeed a fun little trip.

      It’s a great trip. We discovered it by accident in the Fremantle map shop and barely any UA-cam videos on it. Since then some of the big channels have been out there and it’s become famous.

      +Peter Hanson greetings there Peter. If you have a 110 sitting out the back then I don't think your legally allowed to wait for an extended holiday. An exceptionally unreliable source claimed it to be your legal obligation to gather the clan, pack the gear and venture into the wilds immediately. At least that's what my source claimed. Thanks for the comments Peter.

      richardtww Thanks for the comments Richard. The inside of the Defender is an unorganized mess but a tour could well be scheduled. Its an old telstra truck from Alice Springs that I got cheap from an auction full of smoke butts and antique coins when cents could actually by a sweet or two. I've made a few upgrades. Most notably the water bag that hangs off the bull bar.

    • @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
      @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures  9 років тому +1

      Totally Films greetings there. Sorry for late reply, we're currently up in the Kimberly. The drone setup is the dji phantom 2 with a h3-3d gimbal that carries a gopro hero 3. There is also a fpv setup allowing us to see what the camera sees on a monitor but it's not very good with a short range to often we fly blind. The new phantom 3 professional looks to be much better. Thanks for the comments. Cheers.

    • @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
      @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures  9 років тому

      +Totally Films greetings there. Thanks for the comments. The drone is a dji phantom 2 with a zenmuse h3 3D gimbal and a GoPro hero 3 black on medium view. The wide angle creates too much distortion. It is equipped with a monitor for fpv but the range is a bit rubbish. I think the new phantom 3 professional might be an awesome upgrade when the lottery comes through.

    Mr. Foreman. I've met you a couple of times in Africa in places like Kande Beach, everywhere in Namibia and all the way up to Kampala. I was a freelance overland driver for various companies before I moved to Perth. Are you still touring locally? If you ever want to build a truck and start touring, let me know...

      Hey Wilhelm! How long have you been in Perth. Wilms and myself were based there for a few years but have now moved to the states. I’m working as a ranch hand. Had to give up the touring as getting too old and cynical.

    Enjoyed your video, one question, can this track be done with an 'Off the showroom floor' Mitsubishi Triton? I am a newbie 4x4 owner, would this track be suitable?

    • @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
      @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures  8 років тому +2

      Greetings Peter. I would say yes you could take the triton along the track. Having some suitable tyres would be a bonus over anything designed just for city driving and a spare or two. I think the only real problem otherwise would be if the track had recently received a lot of rain. Take it slow and have fun, cheers.

      +jamit2006 greetings there. We bought a little map and info book on the holland track from a map shop in Fremantle but I can't remember the author. There aren't too many however. Also on my Garmin nuvi I have the oz topo maps which cost me about $200 bucks. That has the holland tracks and canning stock route on it. Helps keep me out of trouble. Some folk might call me a pussy for using that sort of technology so we better keep it a secret.

      @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures  9 років тому

      +jamit2006 Yep. Mystery solved. Good to hear from you. The Holland track in late Oct should be a trifle warm. You'll need to take plenty of fluids. Emu xport, xxxx, swan lager and some vitamin C such as Cabernet merlot. I'm in the States now so visits to the warehouse are a bit sparse. Hope all is well and enjoy the Holland track.

      I’d say yes you can though conditions may be a little trickier when it’s wet. We found the trail fairly easy going at the time. Since then it’s become very popular so I can’t attest to current state of the track.

      +Elias Sousa My Portuguese is a little rusty. On big trips we carry extra fuel and water in 20 ltr containers. For food we have a 12 volt car fridge/freezer. We divide our meat into portions and freeze it with frozen vegetables after the fresh stuff runs out. I hope google translate got it right.
