Nice flying! The elevated pad launch is a bug for sure. IRL it’s more like it pushes you back and up from the edge you are trying to cross, but not that violently. It has been reported. You should approach elevated pads from a higher angle and come down onto the landing spot, rather than crossing the edge. Keep up the great flying!
Ha! You are very kind! Thanks for the tip, and I'll try to approach elevated pads from a higher angle, as you suggest. Unfortunately, I have a bad habit of starting my descents with too much energy, but then over-compensating, which allows the machine to sink too low. I'm working on it!
Maybe? At the launch event, I believe one of the developers suggested it could be a problem with the Computational Fluid Dynamics part of the simulator. Unfortunately, it hasn't been fixed yet.
Im not enjoying the h125 due to lack of trim. My Cowansim H500E is crashing to desktop. Which means its the R66 as my heli of choice atm. The H225 and the Crane heli are both beasts, but are workhorses rather than for joyriding.
You sure that's a bug and not the rotor effect hitting the landing surface? Sorry if that sounds stupid, but I don't know much about aircraft or helicopters.
Indeed, there is supposed to be a ground effect but it's not supposed to come on instantly - so there is something not set correctly in the simulator. They'll fix it. :)
Yes, I agree that it would be so helpful to have the Input Viewer in Career Mode, but I can also understand why Microsoft/Asobo want to keep the missions and activities "clean" from any other add-ons. Perhaps a great solution would be if they natively added such a useful utility directly into the sim?
@@t3project agreed. It’s a disappointing state of affairs! CowanSimulation has a Bell 206 but I’m not sure how it currently runs in MSFS2024 or when they will do an official update.
Excelente 👏 👏

i'm glad to hear this, i thought it was just me!
Could it be an experiment in simulating ground effect gone rather wrong?

Hi Matthew. on the ipad there is a tiny button on the top right edge which puts the unit away
That is GREAT to know! I will be trying that immediately!! Thank you!
I think update 3 has added trim functionality to the H125. Seemed to work for me just before.
Confirmed! It's a great improvement.

H125 now has cyclic trim! Please give it another go.

flying helis in 2d does not do justice to them
Super, input viewer. But unfortunately it is not working in Carrier Mode where it ia badly needet.

I hope they get the 407 sorted out. It’s pretty much unflyable. Well, it can be done but the flight characteristics are not even remotely real.

@ Yes. I fly it in X-plane 12 and it’s great. The CowanSim 222UT is my favorite though. Because Airwolf. 🤣
