    I agree with you about the 1000, thats why I got a 650. It has enough power for what I want to do. The newer Outlanders look good, I might have to upgrade.

      For trail riding I feel the 850 is basically the perfect power even if you like high speed riding . Saying that I have a 1020 😂 , thing is here there gone .

    If the ecu is from a defender he will have to sent it out and have them reflash too a 850 . BNR motor sports or Mr rpm is my recommendation. Also have the added benefit of a proper afr map .

      Yes I did mention to them, that they could send it out to someone that does tunes. Didn’t seem interested though.

    New subscriber . Enjoying your videos. I own a 2022 outlander xmr 850. Really like the machine. My only complaint is accessibility for servicing. I am not a fan of having to remove the foot wells . My 2010 renegade and 2016 sportsman 1000 were much easier to service .

      Thanks for joining and glad you enjoy the videos. As the years go by you would think the manufacturers would make serviceability easier.. unfortunately it seems like they are going the other way on that..

    Hi Rock, I finally got my 700 diesel articat up and running. Thanks for your help and advice. I have a question on starting in cold weather. Do you have any advice? I have diesel additive but take a lot and sometimes run battery down.

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  8 місяців тому

      Great to hear you got it situated. Was it your clutch that was the issue?
      As far as starting in the cold, mine actually started pretty good. I would let the glow plugs cycle and then start it. If it was below 0F I would let the glow plugs cycle twice. Mine also had a block heater you could plug in. I didn’t use it but the previous owner used it a lot.

    Dang that's a nice outlander... would love to test drive one one day. My 2008 Grizzly 700 (least reliable year for them smh) brake light does not work. Taillight works with the headlights, but brake light won't turn on no matter what. I tries replacing the Bulb, but that didn't work. I tried many different bulbs, but still the same issue. What should I do? maybe some wiring is disconnected, or frayed/broken. It's also stalling, and I tried spark plugs, fuel pump, injector cleaners, still nothing. What should I do? My quad was a beach quad, so it was quite exposed to rust, if that explains anything.

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  8 місяців тому

      I had a 2007 Grizzly 700 and had nothing but good luck with that one. With you wheeler being a beach quad and rusty, I’m guessing you might have some bad grounds which is causing the tail light to not work. Also the bad grounds might cause some of your running issues.

      @FullsendOffroad 8 місяців тому +1

      @@rockspowersports I'll look into it, I'm really hoping it's like this can am and the raadiator😅😅😅, just a disconected wire. That's what I think it is. The previous owner put a completely new frame on it, so the chances of him forgetting to plug a wire back in are pretty high.

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  8 місяців тому

      Oh nice! Didn’t know you had a new frame under it. That is a big job so very likely a wire could be unplugged.

    • @FullsendOffroad
      @FullsendOffroad 8 місяців тому +1

      @@rockspowersports yep. I don't blame him if he forgot to connect something. It's an EPS model as well and quads these days have a ton of wires.
