I’m a retired math teacher, so obviously I have to interest in doing any kind of mechanic work…yet I enjoy watching your videos! I feel like I’m a student watching a the best teacher in school!
This guy is simply the best atv mechanic I’ve ever seen, honest does shit that’s not even part of the job. And fixes it without breaking more shit like the dealer actually would. If he wasn’t so faraway I would take my machines too him anytime they need service….
Man every time i watch a new video, your channel has grown by a couple of hundred subs, from when i started watching your videos you must have gained over 10 thousand subs! Happy to see your channel grow, great video as always!
Love the content, thanks for the work you do. I could notice how well your editing was done on this video, specifically how the conversation through different takes is seamless. Really well done, can't be easy!
So nice to have parts machines to test and get it repaired so quick! motivation to get your own Outlander 800 fixed up maybe? would love to see that video, even the 1st Gen machines I'd love to get my paw paws on some day!
@@rockspowersports Good to have that inspiration, take it for a test drive and think, yes, I need this in my life! I"ve been looking for a fix-r-up 800 myself, would be neat to see you do it to yours (if you can find the time!)
@rockspowersports that would be awesome. You probably don't remember but I am disabled and am getting one and I would love to get a REAL mechanic like you to give me honest reviews. Thanks rock
I feel bad for the owner. Good deal turned bad. At least it’s fixed now and hopefully he gets some fun miles on it. I had bought a 2009 renegade 800 with several hidden covered up issues. Was a bad expensive mistake. Especially paying top dollar for it. I had to replace the engine. Timing chain had been maxed out and wasn’t informed by the previous owner. It broke and piled up 100 yards from my truck on the first ride. Major damage .
Have '19 can am outlander 720. Installed new fuel pump and re-installed, would not run. Inspected and o-ring at fuel pump was not sealed. Made sure o-ring seated and machine runs perfect. Perhaps fuel pump was replaced but o-ring leaking?
I am in the northeast part of VT so depends where I’m heading in Maine but Upton ME is probably the closest to me about 1.5 hour Gilead ME is about 1.5 hours Rangley is about 2 hours from me.
Like how you de-pinned the connector on the charging leads plug . Been wanting to implement this skill in my DIY shop shenanigans . Can you recommend a decent set of de-pinning keys ?
I have a similar quad 2011 800 xmr and the air suspension is not working. On the control panel it is not showing the air suspension selection I use to be able to select settings 1-6 for soft to hard suspension on it and now it doesn’t come up on the screen. Thank you for any advice on where to start looking
Would you happen to know the fuel spec on the 2017 renegade 570 and should the fuel pump hold pressure on the rail mine does not not it will zero out when you shut the power off thank you
I love these videos! But may I make a constructive observation? Overuse of "go ahead and" ... you prefix almost everything you do with "go ahead and." It's kinda like how some people have the habit of ending every sentence with "you know?" :)
Do you know why my outlander 1000xt is blowing coolant out of the overflow tube at full throttle it has a radiator relocation system so im not sure if the factory cap on the overflow is all working properly it was low when i got it and i toped it off and ever since its been blowing out at full throttle
You could have an air pocket in there, hopefully that’s what it is. Did you bleed the air out of the coolant? This is done by loosening the bleed screws on the cylinder head. The next step would be to check the coolant system pressure, if it is too high you may have a bad head gasket causing this issue.
Thank you. im gonna check it out soon it was definitely sucking air on one of the hoses after it sitting in the gurage for a while i notice the leak, but i will look into bleeding it, wouldn't be surprised if blown head gasket the valve covers are definitely warped, she runs good and strong not blowing smoke at all, happy new year thanks again dude i really appreciate you @rockspowersports
My brother has a Can Am Renegade 800 bike. When I turn it on, he lets it start working, but when it starts for 5 minutes, I turn it off and on again, it doesn’t start at all.
These things are wheelie machines, don’t even need to try. Your 850 will probably open up a little more when it’s broke in. Those 850’s are a little softer on low end but they pull hard mid to top end.
You have the same problem as the rest of us that come here to comment…You bought a Can-Am…Mine got bought by the insurance company😆 now I have a Yamaha🥰
Best part of getting home after work is seeing a new video from Rock
Thanks, glad to hear it man!
Got that right
Couldn’t agree more
I’m a retired math teacher, so obviously I have to interest in doing any kind of mechanic work…yet I enjoy watching your videos! I feel like I’m a student watching a the best teacher in school!
Wow thanks, that’s great to hear! I’m glad you enjoy watching and learning about the mechanics of these things.
This youtube channel is SO underatted
I love that you have so good contact with the costumers... You are so nice and honest. I wish all repairman would be like you. ⭐️
Watching these videos I can really see this is where I am going to be in a few years after high school

Great work.
I bet the customer won't be going back to that dealer anymore. Especially after you sorted him out so quickly. 👍
You're my favorite small engine mechanic i've been following you on Tiktok for over a year now and your videos are always good
Thanks I really appreciate hearing that!
No problem man I enjoy watching your videos keep them coming
Been binging your long form content lately, very entertaining and informational.
Glad you’re enjoying it!
I remember back in the day when they first came out with DPS, that 3 wire connector always heated up the wires like that.
True definition of "small business" 🤜🤛

It is growing pretty good now! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
Awesome vid. @15:40 the razor blade fell off the quad lol
Haha yeah I didn’t see it fall when I was revving it up. I did see it on the floor board though.
Best atv mechanic of all time love the first gen videos
It’s good you keep customer informed not like most moden workshops.
Love the content, thanks for the work you do. I could notice how well your editing was done on this video, specifically how the conversation through different takes is seamless. Really well done, can't be easy!
I’m glad you enjoy the content! Thanks for noticing the editing, I’m trying to get better at it as I’m just a one man show..
Great video! Awesome troubleshooting. Electronic gremlins are the worst.
I found that my outlander was hard on fuel pumps !! My 2013 has had 2 fuel pumps in 4 years !! Luckily they were all under warranty
I’ve replaced a few on these style outlanders. Luckily all yours were under warranty!
So nice to have parts machines to test and get it repaired so quick! motivation to get your own Outlander 800 fixed up maybe? would love to see that video, even the 1st Gen machines I'd love to get my paw paws on some day!
This thing is certainly making me want to fix mine up. Same exact thing except mines a 2012.

love your videos man !!! about to replace the notorious Canam pump myself
Thoroughly enjoyed watching that. Thanks Rock
Hey another great one. Your a good mechanic. Look for a polaris ace to work on for us/me. Thanks rock.
Thanks, I actually have a Polaris Ace 570 I need to fix up when I get caught up with customers machines.
@rockspowersports that would be awesome. You probably don't remember but I am disabled and am getting one and I would love to get a REAL mechanic like you to give me honest reviews. Thanks rock
I love watching you work.
I learn from you! Thanks
Keep up the great work! Love this channel
Also, i like putting some 3m silicone dielectric paste on the soldered joint before the shrink wrap to keep moisture out.
If she wheelies it’s running good! WTG!
Love the longer videos! Love from central Maine!
Great vid Rock! Would love to a ride on the loop @ April

Yeah it sucks dumping that much into it.. That’s horrible about your Renegade, especially on the first ride!!!
Nice comment for now definitely going to watch soon im getting ready for work
Good, honest work!
Awesome vid!
Another great job! ⛄️👍👍

Looking at you taking that apart my question is how do them guys ride them under water and not have them short out
Garage coming around! If I lived close I would finish your drywall just to help you work on toys. Learn from me learn from you.three yellows ya know.
Nice use of the parts atv! noticed you said a few videos back you picked up a machine from Maine. How far are you from Maine?
I am in the northeast part of VT so depends where I’m heading in Maine but Upton ME is probably the closest to me about 1.5 hour
Gilead ME is about 1.5 hours
Rangley is about 2 hours from me.
hey rock another good vid.the poor guy is so upside down in what he has into compared to what its worth!!
At least it’s running and driving now.
@@rockspowersports so true!!!
I like when you work on ATVs
Great job.
Thanks!

I feel for the owner having $7k tied up in this thing. That's the most beat up $7k quad on the planet.
Just curious, what are you using on the other side of the t adapter hose to hold pressure as you are checking the fuel pump pressure?
Would you happen to know the fuel spec on the 2017 renegade 570 and should the fuel pump hold pressure on the rail mine does not not it will zero out when you shut the power off thank you
Can you show that wire fix. Are most plugs able to do that ?
Most wires can be repaired this way.
@@rockspowersports thanks never knew that.
When you changed the ignition switch did it require reprogramming?
I love these videos! But may I make a constructive observation? Overuse of "go ahead and" ... you prefix almost everything you do with "go ahead and." It's kinda like how some people have the habit of ending every sentence with "you know?" :)
I notice it too, kind of a hard habit to kick. I actually cut out quite a few “alright now” in this video..haha
They got the battery strap upgrade I see
I have a renegade 800 and it doesn’t run as good as this one I’ll have to check the fuel pressure. It seems sluggish
Do you know why my outlander 1000xt is blowing coolant out of the overflow tube at full throttle it has a radiator relocation system so im not sure if the factory cap on the overflow is all working properly it was low when i got it and i toped it off and ever since its been blowing out at full throttle

I cant use screwdrivers on hose clamps anymore, once you use nut drivers you dont go back!
Good job!
Hi my atv have no power the kill switch I clean still nothing
bro how much did you charge?
Howdy duty from Indiana
Hey you made it here early today!
@@rockspowersports I did funny thing is I was just about to eat dinner
Change the spark plugs

Man they are wheelie machines aren’t they lol my Polaris 850 won’t do that lol but it ain’t broke in yet it only has 50 miles on it lol

👍
dude you do not put used fuel pumps in these things.
👍🏾🤘🏾
😎
You have the same problem as the rest of us that come here to comment…You bought a Can-Am…Mine got bought by the insurance company😆 now I have a Yamaha🥰
It turned into an outlander 400 because it wanted to be reliable
The outlander 400’s are pretty reliable, only major problem I’ve seen with them is the decompressor on the cam.
