These early recordings of John building new songs get me all excited like I'm there with him in a time machine because I know what this is going to evolve in to! Puts a huge smile on my face. Thank you so much for sharing this! P.S.- The "shave your legs" lyrics I like most of all. Shows how he had fun doing this.
Thank you for sharing this. It popped up in my feed at exactly the right moment, when I needed it. John will always be my number 1 musical hero, I love him.
I love the 2 string lead riff towards the end ❤ It would have been great on the finished album recording. Just having John singing and playing acoustic guitar with the echoed drum machine sounds magical. All done with a twin deck cassette player. What would he have done with a cheap portable 4 track recorder !
Lennon es para mi opinion, el compositor mas completo y extraordinario del siglo 20, no hay comparacion, su talento es enorme. sin exagerar la posibilidad que se repita este milagro llamado John Lennon es de 1 en 10000000000.
I think the worst is over now It's all downhill It's over Relax and take it easy Relax and take it easy All along The worst is over It's over Everybody's making love Why can't we make it, take it over We can't be home inside there And if we leave [...] Everyday The worst is over Hmmm, now that it's over Why don't they leave us alone Nothing doing in the monastery Why don't you leave us, leave us alone Get back to the home where you belong I think the worst is over now It's all downhill It's over Relax and take it easy Take off your clothes and we will meet again For me, it's over Why don't they leave us alone Nothing doing in the monastery Why don't you leave us, leave us alone Doo doo doo doo doo Everybody's doing it Why can't we be doing it, it's easy Remember how we used to Just do and we will lose to do it all Well now it's over It's over
McCartney had his moments. "Eleanor Rigby" is extremely beautiful, and can surely compete with the things John wrote at the time. However, Lennon's songwriting was much more consistent.
@@aheendwhz1 I agree that Paul had some brilliant moments including Eleanor Rigby and Hey Jude. John's writing feels more personal and heartfelt to me. Dear Prudence is fantastic and In My Life are brilliant from John.
@@thenowchurch6419 Yeah, that's what I meant with "more consistent". Paul was always see-sawing between art-sy, personal, ironic and commercial songwriting. Over the years, the personal and ironic amount decreased and the commercial amount increased. Much of his songwriting feels a little bit more planned, with the audience and possible reactions in mind - while Lennon always sounded like his true self. This makes it at times even hard to tell which of Pauls songs are actually personal and which ones are more written like exercises to comply with the audience.

His music makes me enter in a world that chills me. My hero!
I had this laying around for a while. I think I may have a 10 min version of Beautiful Boy (Take 1)?
Nice

Like starting over …. It’ll be!
Is that a drum machine at 1:16? I didn't know he ever used these things.
I heard he was into Joy Division by 1980!
Many of his demos from 78ish 80 did
Cool
Why has John got a rabbit under his jumper ?

I don't care what anyone says. McCartney cannot hold a candle to Lennon's songwriting.
Even Bobby Dylan better watch out.
