Whenever I see a video like this, I try to think about how things were done. Right now, my mind is about to explode. Cool to see the Escher influnce though :) Amazing work! And this was 10 years ago!
I don't understand why people would be complaining about the music featured in this prod. It's spectacular, progressive, diverse and innovative. If anything, I wish there were more demogroups producing this style of music. Needless to say, the whole production is stunning. Much love for ASD.
Guys, I love your demo making style, it's really stunning, your art goes beyond just a demo, it's a form of modern art, should be shown on TV. Really awesome. Thanks a lot!
Leviathan wrote all guitars, half of the drumwork and the composition from the Saw part until the Accordion part, the part after the accordion until the keyboard solo bridge before the slow part, the slow part with the cubes and the acoustic guitar, and the finale part which is a repeat of the first riff. I did the rest. And then, as always, we put additional stuff in each other's compositions and ideas.
One of my favorite pieces of music from Any demo of any platform, you rock. I have watched this (real-time execution not video of course) countless times and it is timeless and as awesome as day one. and oh yeah - the gfx and code are beyond sick haha..
Actually, aMusic is on record that the guitar is real, because it's his guitar and that he writes most of the ASD sountrack on that guitar. As amusic also appears to be the uploader, I'm sure he could confirm/deny. Also? Genre jumping? That's why it's called progressive. I like that style, and I like this track.
Great Demo, I think you guys mentioned you were planning something special, you certainly delivered! Big thmbs up, and even with big competition from Fairlight with a (personnaly speaking) better demo than Agenda... a worthy 1st place for you - congrats!
@FoxAnteh It doesn't seem as if the two don't have any relation, but some parts feel pretty detached. This one seems to have some of it off. LifeForce and Rupture seem kind of better in that same zone. The sync is rough and doesn't hold it's stance so well. If you don't understand why people think differently from you, as in complain about the music featured in this product, which means one of us is blind-deaf.
@nurelgrc most of this track's composition is Leviathan's doing. I'm responsible for the keyboard parts, effects, the intro, some small segments and the priests =P
This is jaw dropping as I expected. I find it somehow to be a part 2 of Lifeforce, because it has so many similarities. Still imHO Fairlight & CNCD won the ASD - Fairlight battle this time. This is quality, Fairlight is style. And keWlers were great too! Wohoo so great demos are them allllllllllll......
@LifeWaste1618 I disagree, the music in ASD productions fits seamlessly with the visuals in both emotive effect and composition. What they have achieved is exemplary.
Spectacular, stunning demo. If anyone from ASD is checking this, your code is having some graphical issues with current-gen GPUs (GTX 6xx, 7xx). Is there any way you can post a patch or recompile binaries? Would love to be able to watch this as it was intended :)
@LifeWaste1618 Are there any specific sections of the production that you would care to reference? As a practising musician, I'd like to think that I have a pretty good ear so if you're suggesting otherwise then I'd like to know what you're referring to. Time points in the video perhaps?
Magnificent, jaw-dropping demo as always. :) In the future, I'd love to hear the guitar have more power in the mixing in these ASD tracks. More low frequencies or something? Because it sounds quite lame and hissy imho, which is a shame because the guitar has an important role in this song and it's great otherwise. (Also maybe the hihats could be quieter.) Don't get me wrong though, it was definitely a well-earned victory at the asm demo compo. :)
i've recently buy a new 2560x1440 display, and on one of the first places - i want to watch yours (ASD) unbeliveble, unforgetable absolutelly masterpieces livo on this monster, how can i done this? can Navis release a HighRes-run patch? also for LifeForce, Rupture and Iconoclast, damn LOVE this demos!!
One thing that has been bugging me for a while, is that the the music by you, aMUSiC, and Leviathan, make very good soundtrack together, that doesn't have much of a sync with the visuals. It seems as if you just put a track over a silent composition, far away. It seems as if you and Leviathan are distant from the coder and the 3 graphic artists. What groups did in the past, and what some groups continue today, is to almost make audio and video one. Maybe you should do so as well.
@jarjar2b Oh COME ON! REALLY? This was 3 guys who made this, and you whine about the music when the animation itself is some of the most impressive ever made, and it's real time!!!
@extremrams yea, heard Navis say so after the compo but didn't know about it before :) Lifeforce however was much more powerfull than this one. Like usually the original ones are better than sequels.. :p
@jarjar2b Textures and audio take up the vast majority of the size, as with anything these days 99% of it is just data. You want something to look pretty with lots of details? don't complain about the size...because if it didn't look this good then you'd moan about the crappy textures, can't have it both ways ;p
Hey whats up man I'm a Christian independent rapper and looking for some intros and logos with my rap name and group name do you do any non profit work I really like the stuff you got going and looking for some real good eye candy to go with my tracks. I'm open for ne out the box creativity/ideas. Maybe an intro relating to my rap name and group name would be awesome
Out of all the demos you've made, this is the one I remember best. Beautiful, powerful and sad. The ending gets me every time. :)
Elite in all aspects !!!
Code, art, music, graphics, scenario. Don't have words. A true classic.!
Whenever I see a video like this, I try to think about how things were done. Right now, my mind is about to explode. Cool to see the Escher influnce though :) Amazing work! And this was 10 years ago!
Winner of the demo compo!
Extremely imaginative and very intense. A great piece of art.
2023. Still great demo and great music

Needless to say, the whole production is stunning. Much love for ASD.
I could watch the transformation effect at 2:40 all day.

Fantastic scenes and effects, great soundtrack and great direction.

This is the best demo ever.
prove me wrong
Wow great JOB @
Excellent Animation. Incredible imagination.
Amazing music composition. Especially the part with the psalms and the guitars.
Very, very well done.
very awesome production, in my opinion the music is very good for this demo
simply astounding work
Did love this demo so much. Thanks for the creators from making this

Amazing how far they've come since the days of Futurecrew
Great Demo, I think you guys mentioned you were planning something special, you certainly delivered! Big thmbs up, and even with big competition from Fairlight with a (personnaly speaking) better demo than Agenda... a worthy 1st place for you - congrats!
thank you for all your great art

Superb...
Thinking of how to morph one model mesh into another at 3 a.m., and I remembered this video.
just... yes, wow, amazing

Unbelievable. Even now, in 2020.
Είστε κορυφαίοι παιδιά μπράβο!
@sucsee it was in fact a sequel :)
For another time , ASD drives us crazy untill our wheels fall off ..... gz gz gz
congrats!

Another great ASD demo. Thanks!!!
Spectacular, stunning demo.

great!
Really cool music !

Incredible. Dang. Wao. Win.
One person must have expected to watch "Sadness is Around the Bend"
Magnificent, jaw-dropping demo as always. :)

Looks amazing, but the sound track could've been improved.
The orthodox byzantine chant is all the money!
is anyone know that choir song ?
Looks amazing, but some things seem to be suffering heavily from shadow halos.

@apassionateplayer I don't know what Jar Jar is on about.... the music aint that bad in an epic 'Dream Theater' sort off way.
too much shakycam
but omg so awesome
@jarjar2b Oh COME ON! REALLY? This was 3 guys who made this, and you whine about the music when the animation itself is some of the most impressive ever made, and it's real time!!!
this is fucking sick.

crAZY stairs!
@jarjar2b I suppose you dont like fish either?
how made this video? ? how I can find more of this video? ?
@amusicgr You should've done more for your part. The visuals are amazing and the music ruins it for me. Hope to hear more from you in the future.
@jarjar2b Textures and audio take up the vast majority of the size, as with anything these days 99% of it is just data. med-re soundtrack in some parts
how was this made? it seems impossible..
lol, some like the music some don't. Not everybody share the same music taste.
They should of hired ASD, Andromeda Software Development to render the visuals. Still nicely done.
GFX A+
MSC... not so much :/
very well done, but music is really not good for such a thing.
+1
WTF i tried to run this on my gaming PC and all I get is a lot of garbled geometry
not the rright gear / drivers for it to run properly ...
That music really starts promising, but at 0:55 it just turns sour. Shame. Not offence, i just dont like metal etc..
Technical and artistic excellence.
Not the biggest fan of the guitar sound though - too monotonic and noiseful :/ - but the playing is just fine.

they in most of the productions have had shitty music, and astonishingly amazing rest.
there is no bend it is all bent - weird so, so what.
boring...,and the music...bähhhh
dackel.
