YES I HAVE A FURTHER QUESTION. You CANNOT go by the carton's print out and think you will get whatever PSI they say, most mini pumps will only get to about 70 psi regardless if the carton even says 160 psi. So you gave an excellent review but right behind you was a bicycle with 700c high pressure tires, why didn't you deflate a tire and try each pump to see if you could get a tire up to the pumps max advertised PSI level? For me, your failure to do a pump test made the review null and void!
As seen in the photos, when closed, about 5mm of the inner plunger is exposed, and there is no gasket to seal the junction between the outer tube and the inner plunger. If it is mounted attached to the frame with its support , dirt, sand ... penetrates inside. When you have to use it, you notice how the dirt that has gone inside, rubs and scratches the pieces internally. You must disassemble it, clean and grease it internally. In my opinion, it is only good if you carry it inside your backpack.
Thank you for the review, you helped me decide between the Sterling and Gem. Maybe you could protect the frame by putting something like part of an old sock over the end of the pump? Or maybe on old piece of bicycle tube on the end?
I recently bought a Crankbrothers Sterling L(Long). I cannot figure a way to mount the pump where it does not permanently touch the frame. Also like in your review at 6:40 ( ua-cam.com/video/SQgauIaE9sk/v-deo.html ), the pump head can also turn and strike the frame. It is pity because the pump is very well designed otherwise. I will just return it since it is unacceptable for the pump to damage the frame just because the engineers totally failed in designing the mount.
Jesús Tapia yep. Any pump will work with tubeless as long as the pump fits the valve. The gem will fit both types of valves, so it will work on any bicycle.
Hi there I'm very new to road bikes and I would like to get one. I would like a bike that I comfortable to ride and fast. I would like for it to have high end components and specifications. my budget is £900. Thanks
This is not a review. I can do all of this by looking at the packaging. Deflate a road tyre and time and record pumping it back up. Do that for all three. Put the smaller pumps in a jersey pocket; how much do they stick out? How much do they try to fall out? Mount them on the bike, do they stay in place? Etc, etc,
Every video misses the BEST feature of these pumps .... You have the two settings High Volume so it takes fewer strokes to fill the Bulk of your tire .... Then you SWITCH TO THE HIGH PRESSURE SETTING AND BOOM YOUR ABLE TO HIT 120 PSI !! in NO Time !!! AMAZING . 15 YEARS I HAVE HAD ON ON MY CLASSIC VESPA SCOOTER . BEAUTIFUL BIT OF KIT !!!

Will the vibrations of riding really make the head turn and if so to strike the frame with any force enough to cause any damage?
What mini pump do you prefer for mtb?
With the spinning head. Maybe use a rubberband around the lever and pump?
Between Sterling S size and Gem S size for my road bike, which one do you reckon? Having a hard time to choose 😵💫
thanks.. I'm buying the GEM one now.
How was it in terms kf performance and durability? Was it for ur rb or mtb?

Hi friend. I can use the gem on one tubeless mtb ?

Jesús Tapia chances are with a tubeless set up, a gem will not generate enough volume to seat the tire initially.
I need to get a pump, thinking topeak
