Not only with IRL parents but they also need to notify management if they plan to collab with someone outside of holo. It's likely so management can watch it and make sure nothing go wrong (and if something gone wrong they can react fast instead of long process).

I mainly just get annoyed that the mechanics assume I panic and don't notice it trying to railroad me or outright cheat even though I perfectly tricked the monster or whatever... I know it's a game, I'm aware of horror tropes, and the stakes are at most "lose a couple minutes of play time by restarting from the last checkpoint". There's no reason for me to be afraid of anything. Jumpscares can surprise me, sure, and gore or body horror can weird me out - but it's never something I'd perceive as an actual threat to me...
