Shout out to Lance! In the early 70’s, as an aspiring board builder, I’d take my backyard glass jobs to Lance’s factory to get them sanded. Most shops wouldn’t even take them but Lance would not only sand them but would give me helpful tips on how to improve. I’ve never forgotten that, pay it forward.
Remember your dad very well....Lived by the pier in the early 70s best time of my life....yes went to Newport harbor high also.....great to see you rich.....Yeah Jackie Dunn sat next to me in science class .....all we did was watch the flag from our class to see which way the wind was coming in....most times we ducket out of class....lol
My frist trip to El Salvador in 1975 was by accident....I bought a Bruce jones 7-10 way to big...draging it all the way over land....meaning I drove my vw bus....hay when punta roca was heavy at 15 ft sorry kids it was smooth....

This is awesome, how did you link up with Lance?
Amazing interview, both parts. allowing Richie to be Richie, it was better than a five star drama. Total respect for him.
Thanks Eric
Love ya Richie. Thank you for being YOU, my man!!💪🏼🙌🏼❤️🤙🏼 Richie and Jamie are killing it on Twins!
Thanks for following the Richie saga!
I rode a Richie Collin’s shape in the early 1990’s and it changed my surfing! An idol of mine. Skeletor will always be the Punk Rock Pro Legend!
How did it change your surfing?
@@SurfSplendor I was able to carve through the flat sections and even won more heats because of his shapes. Richie killed it!

I’d love to hear Ritchie’s thoughts on the LazorZap. Especially as a shaper himself……
