Is here someone who also built this kit? It was one of the most over-hyped models in my country back in the day, literally everyone was building them! To be honest, I expected a little bit more, but what can I ask for 10€ right?
Can't tell as I don't follow airplane kits, but sounds similar. People were building collections out of them, like multiple Chars. And everyone kept saying something like "they're excellent, just a few small inaccuracies".
I built it ( tiny_tanks on Instagram). It's definitely not my favorite but I don't believe there are any others at this scale. The tracks are not fun to work with. Wish I took more time with mine. Can't wait to see a video on how to make rivets in 1/72 scale. This was a thoroughly entertaining video.

This video was a basic procedure to make the model at least slightly more presentable, but nothing crazy. Like I said, you can always buy a new one :) I might do a video on those rivets, but first I need to ask that good gentleman whom I learned this trick from if it's not actually his own idea, in which case it wouldn't be completely fair ;)
I've always liked this particular vehicle and I remember buying a 1/76th scale Char B-1 and a Renault FT-17 light tank made by Matchbox back in the 1980's when I was a kid. The detail of such small scale vehicles was much better than I expected.

Excellent video man, I was super into details before I gave up the hobby 10 years ago, and most of the time is unable to finish because I lack the technique you shown in the video. As someone with the older 1:76 MatchBox, this's given me several ideas :) . Said kit - which also contains a FT-17 - is currently still made by Revell... albeit in an uglier box & without multicoloured sprues.
I'm a french modeller and to see a B-1 is just amazing ... specially in your hands! 👍🤩🤩 The first scrath you maid is the towing system. But there is no slight sag on B-1. On the top of the mantlet of the main 75 mm gun is (yes you find it!) a hook for big maintenance.
I never done that kit, but maybe in future... But I cannot understood, why I never found Your channel in past? It is one of the best tutorials I've ever seen! ;)

That hard point over the hull mounted howitzer is for lifting. During manufacture, and if there's ever a requirement to remove the gun. As it's mounted in the case mate before assembly into the hull.
I have not built this kit but I built the 1/35th scale tamyia B1 bis which is a very nice kit. So if you your looking for a B1 kit I highly recommend it. :)
Yeah those Trumpeter tracks fit ok but they say it’ll stick with plastic cement but only super glue works. Also nothing sticks to it. After moving it around for few times while weathering even made the primer come out

Im sure it was already said in the comment section but you need to weld the track with an heated metal piece and push on the little knob to fuse it (At least that what is said on my tamiya M2 bradley)
Hey Martin. Where does one obtain Black CA glue? Also, how do you keep the glued part from debonding when using the de-bonder? Wouldn't, shouldn't it de-bond?
Try eBay. I'm pretty sure any black superglue will work. Debonder usually has problems getting into the glued joint aka between the metal part and plastic so there's no problem. However there were a very few situations where the part got loose, but in that case I just repositioned it and left the debonder to evaporate.

Hello ! I've just suscribed to your channel and I am binge watching your videos. Very nice job. May you tell me what is the "bonder" that you use to dissolve the super glue ? That seems very efficient.
For reference, those "knobs" are not in relation to the mold-ejection pins. Those leave indents. What those are is known as "gates". There are discharge tubes in the mold that allow molten plastic to flow all the way through so that no air can become trapped, and those knobs are remnants of that process. Gates are part of the reason why I don't build resin kits, as they have such a problem with air voids that modern kits have huge (sometimes more than 1/4") stubs attached to them, which can only be removed by sawing it off, creating loads of toxic dust. A hobby knife or nipper won't do. I dunno about you, but I don't like models that require me to treat the dust as hazardous waste. Just a little bit of resin dust in a corner of the floor is enough to kill a small dog. If I was really cruel, I'd use resin shavings in my poison-cube mouse-traps, as it would cause the mice to go insane before they die from nerve death. Before long, they'd just be spazzing around in a circle until they finally seize up and die. The chemicals in that resin are no joke. They contain IsoCyanates, which is the same stuff that makes auto paint, body-filler and related chemicals as horrendously toxic as they are. IsoCyanates are what give body/paint shops their unmistakable smell. I'd recognize that smell from a mile away. It smells like chemical death lol. All of that is why modelers who have children should probably stick to styrene kits. The kind of resin kits I've been exposed to left much to be desired for the insane price of them. You literally cannot build a resin kit without going out and buying all of the details from the very same company, all of which are conveniently (for the company, that is) sold in small, separate packages that are also way overpriced. I've seen a resin King Tiger track set once that was $80 CAD. That's only $10 short of the price of a fully-detailed Tamiya (or equivalent) King Tiger kit at my favorite hobby joint. I've also seen a set of machined-brass drive sprockets for a Trumpeter Firefly that cost $50. I almost fainted when I saw the price tag on that chintsy little plastic bag with a plain, black and white logo on it, and the machine work on the parts was crude at best. What's more... Those sprockets required a detail kit itself for the bolts and such, which was sold as yet another overpriced package filled with shoddy craftsmanship. It boggles the mind.... Do people actually buy that shit?

I've watched literally all your videos, more than once in most cases because I find them so interesting. I'm a painter by trade but I'm looking into getting into the armour modelling hobby, may I ask if you recommend any micro drill bits? Be it branded or not. There's a lot, with varying reviews so any you know are really good would be great to know! Looking forward to more videos!

Thanks mate! The kit can be taken a bit further, now I slightly regret not reworking the fenders from metal, but eh, I need to pump these videos out each week :) The black superglue and debonder combo is extremely handy and it ensures a nice clean build. I think the brass is 0,1mm thick, the tin foil is slightly thicker, 0,2 maybe. It could be thinner, but it was the best I could find. I just (literally just this week) made a specific tutorial dedicated to making and soldering your own fenders from copper sheet, but it will come out after this series is finished.
Debonder!! Would love to use it. Drive me nuts when a see CA stains around PE parts. However some guys told me that debonder could affect/melt/eat/whatever... the plastic. Is it true? I have tried to get some but did not found any in my regular online shops. Any suggestions?
I haven't experienced that as of yet. On the other hand, when I was using CA Accelerator, some of them did attack the styrene kit. Try googling Dousek Debonder, it's a Czech-made product that I'm using in my videos.

Je to výhoda ak cez ten tmelený spoj náhodou prejdeš debondérom alebo cez neho jednoducho ešte niečo pôjde, napr. štruktúra panciera z tmelu, zvary a podobne.

Sounds like the BobCat 1/48th Yak-28. The year it came out, it was EVERYWHERE at Telford.

The Char B1 bis is a nice, chunky tank, and definitely a good platform for customising, with those big, flat sides.

When you're using debonder doesn't it unstick the part you've just glued down?

Those tracks could have been worse! I had a 1:72 airfix tiger tank from the 80's. The tracks had to be "welded" together with a lit match🤣
