To clear up any confusion I don't min-max 100% in these videos. I try to find a balance between my own fun and making the most of the game mechanics. ALSO I choose to play 'kinda' historical because I enjoy that more.

Love the honest footage so we can learn more!! Appreciate you, Dave!!
This guy is going absolute nuts with the uploads. Keep up the good work.
Ya cuz it’s December
Have to agree, the French focuss tree is one if not the best in game, simple on point yet still has enough complexity to give you plenty of replay value.
You can also release Algeria as pupet in the begining of the game. They will go down the basic focus tree and get factory. And when you core them, you will get free factory :).
The core focus tree actally annex it ! Its why so broken to release algeria !
Didnt thinked of that
I fucking love me some long videos from the goat FeedbackGaming
Please please keep this up as much as you can, don't pressure yourself though what matters is if you actually like it so don't force yourself
Focus trees have to fit the theming of a faction, so France making you want to fix a ton of little things across its broken government works really well for getting France's vibe
Bro drops an hour video a day🤣 I respect it!
More to come!
I love these long format vids. Just play and enjoy it your way. Love to see how you think it through while enjoying it. It makes the game fun
The "Greek James bond spy" was Serbian, Dave.
Yep I got that completely wrong. Google corrected me
I've played France quite a lot and there are some tips I'd like to share with whoever is reading this:
-Planes are really good against Germany and they're rather cheap for France since you already have the ressources to make them, later you can make CAS which is really good if you battleplan.
-You can release Djibouti to not have the Italians take it, this will also give an airport for the UK to use or for you to use with the tactical bombers you start the game with.
-You can delay Laissez-Faire until you are already researching the 1937 industry tech, this will give you the 150% boost for the 1939 industry tech which is way better.
-You can hold Belgium against the Germans, as it's mostly forest which are decent for holding, just put your units on the right tiles otherwise you'll get beaten.
-You can use submarines to raid the Red Sea to help the UK to clear Ethiopia since the Italian will suffer supply issues.
Also I made a mod called "France Balance of Power" if you're a bit bored of vanilla hoi4 France.
I'm surprised you didn't do the focus to intervene in the spanish civil war!
It's an easy way to farm a lot of early XP for france, here's how
1) Ban commies via focus
2) Do intervention in spain focus
3) Once communism popularity is 0 (or close enough to), click two decisions to intervene in spain to boost your war support by a ton
4) A new decision will pop up to join the war on the republican side, click it, you're now at war
5) Profit! Easy army and air xp!
As an added bonus, once the civil war is over, you can annex a few regions in spain, I usually aim for those rich in tungsten
The only downside is that your stability is at 0% as long as you're in the war... but with that high war support you can do war economy crazy fast if you bank some PP! It's almost cheesy how stronger you become just by doing those 2 focuses
This series is amazing, thanks for bringing it back, mate.
A different France video you made a few years ago really helped me learn the game by following along when i was new to the game. Glad to see you making these long form videos! Like you said later guaranteeing Poland is a nice way to get around go with Britian.
"I really enjoy France, your only issue is that your government is falling apart...and your economy is kinda knackered too"
Brexit Simulator 2023
This is truly the greatest month for feedback
I usually don't find many HOI4 videos interesting but I genuinely enjoy your way of playing and recording where you explain what you're doing rather than just "this is what happened after I did everything lol" -- it makes me feel like I'm genuinely watching a person play, not a youtuber. It's very comforting for my rough mornings. Cheers, keep it up
Pfft. Imagine pressing one. Viva la revolución! Great content as always! Thanks Feedback :D
Dude I love these, they bring me back to the olden days of the channel. Thank you Dave, massive undertaking churning these out every day, much love.
Love the regular videos! Glad to see you spittin out the content these days!
I'm really enjoying these longer video's where you try new things and division templates. So i would love to see more of them!
Dave no sleep? Pumping videos out love it. Excellent content
These "Minmaxing country x" videos are amazing. Super helful for learning how to play certain nations and just fun to watch as well.
Just wanna say ive been binging ur vids and i rly appreciate the meticulous effort
French union is the most op focus in french focus tree. It gives you a chance to core your colonies and if they refuse, they dont become independent. Its even better as little entene france, because you can get the guest workers to fix the full employment.
Thanks for all the Videos these Days!
As far as the economic surplus goes, it works based off the BASE production. For example, the factory that you showed being built at 08:42 had a base build speed per day of 75 points. You then had the modifiers for your economy laws, your trade laws and your infrastructure level. Then the economic surplus was added AFTER that was calculated.
In this case it was 37 extra points per day on top of the 170 points you were getting from just the factories or about a 20% boost to your construction speed. Or to put it in flat terms, it was giving you the equivalent of 3 extra factories.
Nice work, enjoying these.
These videos are a lot of fun keep going!
So many uploads in a row! I love them!!
Great content. Love this series
Love these tpye of videos! Really teach me a lot!
Great video really enjoyed it
You made Charlegmane proud!
>Took all boost colonies decisions, have max stability, max compliance, not at war, haven't lost territory.
>Majority of territories refuse anyway 😂
Actually losing Corsica can be a good thing because it allows the US to do lend lease even though it takes its sweet time of France hasn't capitulated, but it does fit into the 'more than 0% towards capitulation of a major democratic country' requirement that the US has for passing Lend Lease
This video's worth two comments. I genuinely get overwhelmed in strategy games since I have attention problems, but you helped me understand the UI and game better so I can play how I want. :)
These videos are fantastic for helping new players, will you be doing these for minor nations too? I would love to learn how to play with limited manpower and industry
good stuff man, thank you
Do you think Mass Assault and some of the other ideas shared here would apply to Non-Aligned France as well?
Be no different
Digging the long form videos!
GIVE US THE RAT!!… Wait sorry.. wrong channel… anyway thanks for vids FB you’ve made my week !
Thx again, another good video!!!
Don’t worry about the dyslexia, I’m sure most people don’t mind and have understanding for the fact it can be a struggle for you, I do at least. As someone with a small speech impediment I also often get unwanted feedback about the way I talk, don’t let them get to you. Love all the work you do, hope the covid gets better soon!
I like these kind of videos.
for the French African front, what i do rather than have a forward port/hub, is use what is already there and just put a couple holding divisions on small lvl 1 or 2 forts between the sea and the Tunisian lakes (thus making the Mareth line, which was a thing and built up before the game started), then set up an amphibious invasion on Tripoli
that way the Italians push forward into Tunisia, they hit my defence troops while dying to supply, then capturing Tripoli kills the rest of the little supply they have, and being supplied on either side, i can crush their divisions in the middle
as for the invest in colonies stuff, the real worth is if you wait to do all of them before doing the focus that gives them mils (adds 2 for every state invested in, so up to 10 free mils), also Algeria benefits twice from the focus, getting up 4 free civs (2 under "Industrial Expansion" and 2 under "Colonial Industry", i don't believe they get twice the mils tho), also i believe doing the colonial investment focuses increase your chances of getting a yes vote when doing the French Union, along maxing compliance and infrastructure (afaik it's based on how built up the colonies are, so maxing factories also helps, there's a focus in the naval branch that gives you 4 shipyards in colony states)
Loving these new Long-Boi videos.
Thanks for the video.
Nice revisit of France after many updates.
Bro pumping out prime content multiple days in a row? holy shit
Great video! Best France defence ive seen in some time.
1 question - wouldnt you preferer a tank recon support this late into war? Armor was ur que in that one And armored cars really suck😅
Armored car recon does give you the most amount of recon
Tank recon doesn't give you a lot of armor and Germany with support AA will still fully pierce you so there is no point, also it costs fuel unlike armored cars.
i like the videos, keep it up
Love the min max videos Dave, can you try the US next?
He already did one the other day
Bro I love you for all of these every single click videos.
you can minmax more by doing france leads but guaranteeing Poland, allowing you to join the allies when needed but still giving you a political power boost
And yet another evening falling asleep while watching Feedback's every click video ^^
i got seing this 14 minutes after it posted
i think i also like France's focus tree, fairly small, but straightforward and nice. What i DONT like though, is that france has an achievement where you have to wait until 1948 with a focus tree thats TINY. Paradox made the france focus tree tiny because surviving the germans is pretty much most of the french campaign, and recognize the game is pretty much done with france by 1941/42 and then made the achievement 6 years of painful afk.
I love these all clicks videos.
Can you please do a minor with an every click guide like Romania ?
As a side note, Romania starts with a massive deficit of small arms :)
Thank you!
Romania is coming :)
@@DaveFeedBackGaming thanks for the reply!
Im sorry for saying this but, covid was the bedt thing that happen to you, you are going NUTS with the uploads!! And very good vidros, keep going!!
With the front line bug near the end, if you ctrl right click you select the units assigned to that order.
The sheer *sssseeething* of the austrian 'greater' germany is just... *chef's kiss*
Try different theaters for organizing. North theater, south theater, coast guards, Africa theater, etc

To be fair, if you do lose, you can regain your focus tree (and do most focuses again, though whether it's worth it by then is debatable)
Good vid
I do apologise - your comment about not minmaxing is also for me, as I did mention that in one of previous videos. Thank you for that! :) Have a nice day and weekend.
Being home with sick children and these afternoon videos has been a good watch before the chaos continues.
I am pressing 1 to signal this is the type of content I want to watch
Hope everything is okay and this series will continue.
When FeedBackGaming once again starts to excuse his fetish of killing his own people in masses... 😏
1
Edit: The longer this video is the less this makes sense. Good luck determining which!
whyyyy do you do all of the doctrines at once? do them as you go for massive bonuses
What I usually do is make arty, make IE, guns and AA, add arty and engineers to a division and I go with the good old 9-3, if you dont have enought arty just go with 9 infantry and engineers for more entrenchment, also don go for the expand the maginot, build those forts manually (yes it sounds crazy but you can have them before the war starts) even on the italian border, yes im crazy but I managed to conquer all europe, form the EU and then turn fascist and conquered the whole world, I dont recommend that las part
Long videos are way better thanks feedback
I hope you got the idea for this series from the lanparty experience 😎
This is great
"A common enemy to rally behind"? :D
Another great British map-making. *dips biscuit his tea
Yes
another minimax! yoo
You should do a video on the Black Ice mod using the BICE is life mode playing the USSR
Why didn’t you use the normal infantry divisions
mass mob is just the best tree. guerrila warfare is the best battle strategy in the game.
Mad underated
I know this probably isn't the sort of compliment you're looking for, but I've found that if I'm having trouble going to sleep, I can just put on a FeedBackGaming video for 10 minutes and I'm out. Doesn't even matter where I am, started dozing off in a doctor's office waiting room yesterday.
Why did you wait so long before spending your army xp?
I do think that without the newest DLC (which I dont have) this minmax guide is completely opposite of what you should actually do.
Can we get new video about Air meta? AAT changed a lot for Fighters and CAS
Nobody talk about how op France is😢😢
Dave, upload Chad ❤
Im a huge fan of your click by click vids
Is good video. Big beefy enjoy
Mon/max on not I really like these longer vids
My real issue with France is being late on pretty much every tech three compared to Germany, the UK and the US. You can balance that if you grab the two extra research slots early, which means you'll have no PP, but you can still get all your focuses and wars done, before taking care of Germany. You might be able to more efficiently balance research and PP, like you do some government researches, some for research slots. Cause I just hate it when in 1943 I'm running with 1940 planes, 1940 tanks, 1940 battleships, and 1940 arty... And you have to pick between synthethic and naval which also means you have no oil at all, even after spaming refineries all over France. Or you go bonapartist, annex the UK and all brittish colonies, you fix oil and manpower, expand citizenship gives you +3% non core manpower, once you fix garrisons you have infinite manpower. Also means you're not ready to take on the Axis untill 1941 I believe, unless you go no garrisons... Well anyways that always ends up in a world conquest... You can also annex the US before you take on Germany, which is overpowered but leaves you out of the war with the Axis untill around 1943. You can also join the Axis as monarchist France, all comes down to cheesy timing so Germany doesn't end up claiming stuff in your wars. You could also puppet everything but it's not fun, I don't enjoy reducing autonomy...
Other focuses are fine, but you don't get to annex as much stuff, imperial France definitely the most worth your time for effort to reward.
My real issue with France is... WELL
I Like the new Dave….
Lore of No One Is Talking About HOW OP Mass Assault FRANCE momentum 100
You had the industry to ad armor to your infantry divisions. Of course they were pretty bad a** as it was.
You forgot the "is" in the title
Is it Chipan, or Japina?
