യൂറോപ്യൻ ശക്തികൾ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ എത്തിയത് പോര്ടുഗീസിലൂടെ ആണെന്ങ്കിലും, ഒരു നൂറ്റാണ്ട് കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ മറ്റ് ശക്തികളും ഇന്ത്യയെ തേടിയെത്തുകയുണ്ടായി.. അതിൽ രണ്ടാമത് എത്തിയത് ഡച്ചുകാരാണ്.. ഡച്ചുകാർ കേരള മേഖലയിൽ, പോര്ടുഗീസിനെ തകർക്കുകയും , ഒരുപാട് കാലം ഭരണം നടത്തുകയും ഉണ്ടായി.. കൊച്ചിയിലെ നിർണായക ശക്തിയായി മാറിയ ഡച്ചുകാർ ഏതാണ്ട് ഒരു നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലധികം കൊച്ചി ഭരിച്ചു.. ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി കൊച്ചിയിൽ പല വികസനവും ഉണ്ടാവുകയും മട്ടാഞ്ചേരി കൊട്ടാരം, ബോൾഗാട്ടി കൊട്ടാരം പോലുള്ള മികച്ച നിർമ്മിതികൾ ഉണ്ടാവുകയും ചെയ്തു.. ഈ ഭാഗത്തിലൂടെ കേരളത്തിലെ ഡച്ചുകാലത്തിന്റെ ഭരണവും,യുദ്ധങ്ങളും,പതനവും, സംഭാവനകളും ഒക്കെ ഉൾപെട്ട പൂർണ ചരിത്രം ആണ് പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത്...
