I can teach a teenager to field strip, clean, reassemble, and operate an AK in 30 minutes. You can swab the barrel with a piece of river cane, and lubricant the action with possum grease and it with operate just fine. ARs are BarbieDolls.
An interesting tidbit I've seen airsoft AK replica B33 top cover rails and in comparison to the Bawarus, they actually y'know... Fit the optics fine. Not to mention the actual rails since a lot of people who had the chance to grab them pre-ban have had great results. Regarding the Sport-4 handguard for fitting a laser, and Sport-1 and B30U/B31N combo if you were ever able to get your hands on that, they seem to be unable to fit a PEQ15 at the front (though can at the rear), but a DBAL-A2, NGAL or some other small form factor laser can fit. It's generally more common on the B30U/B31N rails to fit a laser on a small section of picatinny on the 3 o'clock.
UA-cam comments are crazy because we have everything from "No railed dust cover will ever hold zero." to "Airsoft AK dust covers will work." lol. Thanks for the insight man.
@@brian-8814 I had a PSA AKP GF3. The damn screw that holds the hinged cover together yeeted itself in less than 100 rounds and they wanted me to send it back in instead of just telling me what kind of screw it was 😂 found the proper screw at Lowe's and got rid of that thing ASAP lol
@@sectorseven07 I didn't point to the fact if it'd hold zero Just to the fact that the actual picatinny can fit optics fine like a scalerworks or other type which the bawarus in this instance happens not to be able to. Would it work if you fit it on an actual AK? Who knows, give it a shot I'd be interested in the results actually even it's very likely to not work🤣
I wonder if that barwarus zenit clone rail is wobbling around because its on a psa, sometimes dust cover rails don't wanna fit them just right because of the rear trunnion being different, some people do bending to mod the fit. Clones could just be trash too, interested in seeing how they do after people have them a few years. My midwest dust cover rail and tws gen 3 has not lost zero yet, but to fair sureshot is probably lighter, and the rs regulate or mastermount siderail are great options too especially if you worry about weight adding up and having a fromt heavy gun.
Good video Imo, the AK market has really been ruined by budget ARs. Hard to sell a $600 WASR when a $400 PSA exists. The budget AR and its consequences have been a disaster for the AK race. That being said, I'm happy to own, and have built three.
I didn’t have good experience with the Texas weapon systems dust cover. Their customer service was great but the product seemed like it needs a little work. I’m going to be switching over to alpha series soon to try that one out.
While I like the alpha series dust cover a lot, I feel like it's limited in that you're forced to buy into their rail system as well. If I were to build an AK from scratch again I would do a dovetail mounted optic and then a real zenitco sport 4.
So crazy my barwarus Handguard and top rail are solid. other than they sent me basis hardware that was backwards so when I went to tighten it it would loosen no matter what I did to it. Kinda like if you tightened your mlok screw and the nut didn’t catch and instead turned to where it would just slide out of the rail. But I just switched it out with some real basis I had laying around
@kodiprosser4180 I told him hey if the dust cover is shitty that's one thing but I want that handguard. I'm probably still going to get their sport 4 rail and then do a side mounted t series optic on my ak101 build I plan.

An AR beats out an AK in almost every single possible way. Nations had the proclivity to choose the AK platform because they had direct dealings with combloc nations rather than the US. Almost everyone who is offered the option to swap platforms does so, including the Taliban, ISIS, the Irish Rebublican Army, Al Shabab, etc, etc.
I hear these guys opinion, and I think they are just biased and like other platforms. And that’s OK but I just blurred out random things like it’s not user-friendly and it’s not ergonomic is crazy when, in fact, when they were building, the AK ease of use was the first thing they had in mind, the manual of arms dealing with the safety, and all that is way more simple than an AR
It's not more user friendly lol. Having a rifle be too hot to touch after three magazines, having to manually manipulate the bolt every time you reload from the opposite side of the rifle, these are not more quick and more intuitive than just pressing two buttons. You literally press two buttons to do an AR reload. You will very, very rarely find a sub 2 second AK reload without someone having an extreme amount of training to do so.
@@sectorseven07 I respect your opinion on this point, but in reality, there are combat statistics and CQ statistics That prove otherwise when a person is in motion moving quickly highly skilled can still have problems due to being nervous, adrenaline and so on so imagine a regular civilian trying to do that And I don’t blame you, because UA-cam, cultures information is so biased and subjective from people doing single double taps, and reloading on a beeper The only time this stuff matters nine times out of 10 is when you’re at the draw with pistols and none of that is technically relevant if you’re moving with a group and Most vets will tell you that before they even ran out they usually reload or if they feel they are running low. They just switch a mag so they won’t have to worry about running out you’re pointing out Problems that I’m assuming you didn’t know that there were solutions for if you look at trench fighting people cleaning rooms it is very rare you see somebody Bolt lock back, unless they are shooting for cover just complete suppressive fire AKs have the ballistic advantage and Ease-of-use It’s also harder to clear jams in ARs you have to clean them very often And once the gas tube is gone, you have a bolt action
@@isaiahcooper3038 I'm a combat veteran. So I am glad to give you my repeated endorsement of the AR platform as the superior platform. I didn't decide it was based on youtube. I decided it was based on 15 years of using both platforms.
The AZk is Good, but very antiquated. It does not lend itself well to modern sight systems, it's ballistics are not really that great. It's accuracy is not really that great. Look I don't live in Johannesburg South Africa. I live in the these United States of America. Where the most prevalent caliber is 566/223. Nuff said
If it ain't broke don't fix it. I see literally everyone putting railed dust covers and zenitco type handguards on their guns and it makes me so disappointed. They don't know their issues or how to mitigate them so they completely ruin the gun. If you buy a handguard that requires screws to attach 1. You're wrong but 2. You need to use rockset and stake each screw atleast two spots or they Will come loose, possibly at the worst time. Muzzle brakes change the harmonics and can cause crazy poi shift. Railed dust covers should never be attempted, not only can they shift they can cause broken guide rods and also get stuck in the closed position during malfunctions. Ar stocks can raise your eye up too high to use irons properly and/or smack your face.. If you add a cheek riser to use an optic with a normal or high mount then you may have those problems even worse. Some handguards can improve accuracy if they clamp on in only one spot thats towards the rear of the barrel but if it touches the barrel in more than one spot then it drastically decreases your accuracy. IR lasers aren't meta anymore but even if they were I wouldnt put one or anything else over the barrel on an ak, way too hot
All small arms suck and Ar15s are the worst. The majority of Ar15s in USA have widely varying headspace, are over gassed and have grub screw attached gas blocks (literally worse than trash, at least the layman can tell by looking at literal trash how useless literal trash is)

Then later on I found out it's literally a transformers special forces team which is hilarious. I am not a transformers fan at all.
We cover things like the fact that they're too hot to even touch after three magazines in the video. Or the fact that they're inherently less reliable and more difficult to diagnose and clear malfunctions with. Or the fact that they cost substantially more and are more difficult to modify, etc. This is also in the context of comparing them to America's rifle. They may have been super user friendly in 1962. But they are eclipsed now.
If you're talking practicality, why get an ak in 556? Just stick to the most common rifle that shoots the most common caliber, an ar15. A better rifle in 762x39 is a ptr32/hk32 clone.

I can teach a teenager to field strip, clean, reassemble, and operate an AK in 30 minutes. You can swab the barrel with a piece of river cane, and lubricant the action with possum grease and it with operate just fine. ARs are BarbieDolls.

An interesting tidbit
I've seen airsoft AK replica B33 top cover rails and in comparison to the Bawarus, they actually y'know...
@@sectorseven07my PSA AK-103 hinged dust cover returns to zero every time. I don't beat the shit out of it, to be fair.
@brian-8814 Yeah the guy is just wrong. A solid hinged dust cover is fine. Especially for larping imaginary apocalyptic scenarios.
@@sectorseven07 I didn't point to the fact if it'd hold zero
Just to the fact that the actual picatinny can fit optics fine like a scalerworks or other type which the bawarus in this instance happens not to be able to.
Would it work if you fit it on an actual AK? Who knows, give it a shot I'd be interested in the results actually even it's very likely to not work🤣
Turkey does it again
Got a buddy with a pre-ban Norinco. It just inspires jealousy, lol.
Good video
Imo, the AK market has really been ruined by budget ARs. Hard to sell a $600 WASR when a $400 PSA exists.
The budget AR and its consequences have been a disaster for the AK race.
That being said, I'm happy to own, and have built three.

Fuck me. Bill was sweatn hard. Needs to get those jitters worked out. God love.
Love my mc9 looks way better than any Glock stock for stock and this freedomsmith trigger.....omg😌
Good video. Any opinions on Midwest Industries Alpha railed hinged top picatiny dust cover?
UA-cam keeps deleting my comments or something is messing up. I like it but I would recommend a dovetail mount instead if you have one.
Could you guys tell me what kind of aftermarket stocks will work on a pioneer sporter?
It just depends on what kind of rear trunnion it has
The pioneer sporter has a standard ak rear trunnion, so anything compatible with that will work

First time watching but the guys on both ends have to be brothers
I feel like we all look a bit like we could be brothers
@GPOLICE So what you're saying is AKs suck. Hell yeah. I agree. Ars are better.
Dead on with the AK info.
IR lasers aren't meta anymore? What is?

We cover things like the fact that they're too hot to even touch after three magazines in the video. Or the fact that they're inherently less reliable and more difficult to diagnose and clear malfunctions with. Or the fact that they cost substantially more and are more difficult to modify, etc. This is also in the context of comparing them to America's rifle. They may have been super user friendly in 1962.
