24 hr assault pack comparison (Eberlestock vs Mystery Ranch)
Переглядів 4,4 тис.2 місяці тому
I compare features of two mid tier bags in the 200-300 dollar range and give my reasons for why I'm getting rid of my Eberlestock Switchblade and swapping to a Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack. We're not reinventing the wheel here. This is a no frills, no pageantry video comparing features. Apologies in advance for audio quality we promise we're upgrading our audio rig soon!
Becoming Deadly In The Southeast

This is part one in my series on equipment considerations for the Southeastern United states. In this scenario, I am carrying enough equipment for a short ranged patrol that could flex into other roles or mission sets. This is not a verbatim packing list for every person, as considerations change with the circumstances of the individual and their environment. This is just equipment that I have ...
Budget SOPMOD M4 build to make the snobs cry

After several years of watching people catch flack on the internet for their more budget minded builds, I decided to build my own to see what the big deal is. Spoiler alert, it's not a big deal. There are ways to do budget builds and ways not to, but a well thought out Aero or PSA will get the job done 90 percent of the time, every time. The capabilities of the shooter, the shooter's ability to...
Infantryman and Medic go over their gear
Переглядів 90 тис.11 місяців тому
Had to totally edit over the first minute because of pesky copyright laws. Sorry. The title says it all. A prior infantryman and current medic run some drills and then go over their gear in a very informal non scripted way, count how many times I say "plus up." There is no one right way to set up your gear, but there are many wrong ways to do so. This kind of thing is a good exercise in shaking...

In our latest low effort offering, I go over what I consider to be one of the most important lines of equipment for most people in most situations. There are exceptions, but let's not get too deep into the 'tism. Featuring Eagle Industries, GBRS, Crye Precision, Haley Strategic, Esstac, etc.
Haley Strategic/Onward Research's newest chest rig. Worthy of 600 dollars, or hype beast nonsense?

Haley Strategic and Onward Research are known for innovation. But does their latest offering offer the same value at the price of a fully scaled plate carrier? Let's find out. Under what scenario would non-military actually need aircraft signaling items? I don't imagine that any sort of social breakdown or armed rebellion in the US would involve a large group of non-government forces actually having any semblence of air superiority. I really enjoyed your review of the two packs. I have had both and really are great packs. However, you're trying to battle two packs under "Assault pack" when the switchblade wasn't designed strictly for assault and was designed more for EDC. Eberlestock does put the switchblade under "Assault" "LE" but Eberlestock designed it more for "Tactical EDC". Obviously mystery ranch is going to win this by a landslide because it was designed and tailored for assault. Putting mystery ranch against the rush 24 or maybe the Tasmanian tiger modular packs would be a really great video.

      I get where you're coming from, but it's not even great as an EDC bag. I need to know what goofball is out there EDCing a multicam 30 liter pack lol. I mean, it's a free country...but to me an EDC bag should be 14-20 liters and be strictly plain colors.

Upstate of South Carolina. Oof. I spent a couple of the days walking around. On trails. With a CamelBak. 20-40 pounds minimum? Cross country not using a trail? That's going to be no from me. I did roofing in SE Ga for 15 years. If you're not fit and acclimated to the climate then just being outside traipsing through the woods is likely to exhaust and kill you. I got out of roofing about 2 years ago and my physical stamina has gone downhill so much its not even funny. Let me burst your fantasy bubble, unless you work outside doing physical labor every day, you're absolutely not prepared for war in the south during summer. The vast majority of people are fat and work inside. You're going to die if you try to get out there and mix it up in a shooting war.

    • @sectorseven07
      @sectorseven07 9 днів тому

      Thats also what climatization is for, which is something I should have mentioned. When the military does combat deployments to hot weather environmemts they basically quarantine all their guys in the heat for several weeks before sending them out on missions in order to acclimate.

    • @sectorseven07
      @sectorseven07 9 днів тому

      Yeah it centered perfectly. I've heard of them having issues with tolerance, whether they sag in the front, stick up too high, or twist one way or the other. And then many people they're just inherently really well centered and don't have a bad POI shift on the laser. I have since swapped to a block 2 FSP since I made this video. The ergo thing is really cool as a stop gap solution but ultimately the ris 2 is obviously more functional.
