My Stairmaster Stepmill had the same exact problem so I replaced the sprocket and the chain. This video is great and helped me solve my problem!

Mine got sand grains in the chain when I moved it from the seller to my house. Any recommendations on how to remove this sand? Use degreaser like wd40? Then redo all the lithium grease I assume?

How often do you see the stairs skip or drop? Is it a common occurrence? Happened to me, broke my shoulder, torn ligaments in the other arm. The gym has not taken this machine out of use.

Hi, I just bought a used stepmill 7000pt. It seems to work well, but when i first get on the steps move down slightly while i'm entering my workout into the console. need to step up one step every 5 to 10 seconds. Is that normal?
