Every moment of this is fun and engaging. It's clear that everyone was invested in making this a great story, and I think that Jared does a great job of outlining what makes Blades in the Dark unique compared to other systems. Thanks a lot guys. This was my first Stream of Blood video but it won't be my last :)
this is one of, if not THE, best roleplaying stream i ever watch. The DM and players are extraordinary, great crew and ambience, lot of tension, action and laughs.
"I'll get to you when I get to you!" "And then he forgot that I ever asked him..." That's a great little bit of emergent complexity; where something "useful" in a character's abilities, turns out to have a counterproductive edge.
Theyve talked about Blades in the Dark a few times now on the GCP, happy you were able to run it for them. Ross was great as well, fun group and certainly worth the listen! This game seems awesome
A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. I love the dark and sinister vibes that this universe has, I'd definitely love to see a playthrough with more of an open world campaign centered in the streets of Dustfall like you said in the questions.
Here from the GCN nation and a little late to the party but having a great time nevertheless! The synergy between the SoB guys and the GCN crew works fantastically especially in this environment, I was just as psyched for every 6 roll as the players. Can't wait to catch up on the rest of these streams, you've found a new subscriber in me!
Oh this game can have so much potential. Especially if you can make a campaign like Vampires of Pittsburgh. It would be fun to see how the characters get to retire lol these hardcore one offs are cool too though! 👍🏻
I figured while I was watching that they obviously survive since there's a part 2, but considering how sideways this one went at the train, I'm guessing part 2 is making Consort rolls to get jobs at Starbucks to have a quiet life and leave this crazy ass criminal life behind. :)
How you can tell 4 guys that have never done construction, "where's the bomb making stuff in the list of demolition tools?" Fuck it, blow something up anyway, love it!
The sledgehammer, pick, etc are tools that could be used to demolish something, no? Lol I love the idea that Joe, or at least Archibald, cannot conceive of destroying something in any other way than blowing it to pieces. Lol
Great game, loved the dark and futuristic setting. Would love to see more of this in the future, perhaps centering around gangs in the city. And of course featuring that ghost girl.... BTW really looking forward to that big meeting of the Neptune Society you talked about at the end!
Coming back here in prep for tomorrow's finale! This was the beginning of a wonderful partnership, it's been wonderful to see more of Jared and Ross working with the GCN. Also great to see all of the updates these 4 have done to their setups 😂😂
I really hope we can revisit these characters/system! I'd love to get a peek at some of the larger scope kind of mechanics. Also, these criminals owe 10 coins to the woman who set up the job, don't they?
Hi Jared, loved the stream. One suggestion: get a pop filter (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pop_filter). Keeps those powerful P-words from popping in your mic and, consequently, in your listeners ears.
Hi, I'm sure this was wholely due to ignorance and not malice, but I am a british romani traveller, and the term 'pikey' used around 7:45 is a highly offensive racial slur. It's a bit frustrating to be honest to start watching an actual play and suddenly hear that word.
You are correct, Paul. This was an instance of cultural ignorance for which we are both sorry and embarrassed. That term doesn't carry the same painful weight here in the US but we are regretful for using it regardless.

"We'll deal with that later." Joe discovered the Blades in the Dark catchphrase!

I absolutely loved how excited and invested everyone was, everytime they were cheering for a six I was celebrating with them
you should try the Glass Cannon Podcast, Troy and Joe are always like that
@@dacoobob just recently found those guys. Totally agree, they have a lot of fun and they role play really well. Good videos.

My favorite part of BitD is that your characters are competent at their trade without you having to be.
Until the dm says "and how do you do that?" 😅
This is one of the very best RPG streams I've ever watched. Great job, gents.
This was awesome - thank you for helping make the Blades in the Dark system seem less intimidating.
Blades in the Dark ! and the cruel Troy Lavalle! excellent combo
J'Son the Son, Brend the Friend, and now Merv Hooligan the hooligan. Joe's the best at names.
Outstanding work, very glad stream of blood is part of the glass Cannon
Great stream, love the enthusiasm and love how you take the time to describe and explain the mechanics.

I love glass cannon but the combined dynamic is awesome. Instant like and sub from me
Great stuff!!
By the way, 1:20:12 there already is a similar mechanic in Pathfinder 2e, it's called "follow the expert"
Happy to finally watched episode 1 of B&B, thank you.
After finishing Vamps of P. I needed another fix. This will certainly do. I'm new to BITD, but holy smokes what a cool system it is!

Say that you packed basic climbing gear, and go over the top.

@@StreamofBlood I appreciate your response, thank you for that. I do accept these things can be tricky across borders. Apology accepted 👍
I'm not sure that's Joe. He was far too lucky. Or Joe is just really unlucky in Pathfinder.
I don't believe it, impossible!
I don't believe it, impossible!
why is jared's mic so poppy?
The rules are all wrong. Sucks because the group is really good :(
