Thanks for posting this. I went ahead and ordered a set and just installed them. Very helpful video. And, I look forward to many years of enjoying these upgraded floor mats!
i bought the tuxmats based on your review. i originally had the weather tech and their nice but they don’t have the coverage that the tuxmat has. my wife an i do a lot of surfing snowboarding and camping so i wanted something to cover the carpet all the way around. so i received them the other day and wow. they are amazing. although i needed some extra of the those velcro clips to get them really secured. i went on tuxmats site and they don’t have an option to purchase any more clips. so i sent them an email about purchasing extra clips and they said they will send and ship extra clips for free to people who have purchased the tuxmats. so another bonus with going with them. so all in all tuxmat all day. the coverage is great and customer service is great. i do like the feel of them even though at first i was a little skeptical. thanks for the independent review!!!
@@Omr_alh I've had these for a couple of months and the coverage is so good that I think removing them will be pretty rare. You can clean them in place and they wipe down all sorts of muck without a problem. Kind of different from my old floor mats that you had to remove to clean out.
There's one major problem with these mats.... they will be a real bear to remove when you're at the carwash cleaning your truck. With all those clips to remove and those adhesive patches, it seems that this system is meant to STAY in the truck and not be removed that often. In the winter months, I clean my mats every time I wash my pickup. I do however love the coverage and aesthetics of these over the hard Weather-Techs I have always bought.
I'm in Canada also.... don't you find these a nuisance to remove and instal in the winter months when you wash your pickup? All those clips and areas with adhesive patches holding them in place. It's as though these mats are meant to stay where they are mounted and not to be removed.
Two years later I still think they are the best thing out there. I have not taken them out once! No need to, the coverage is so good. They clean up/shine up great and my original comments apply that they make the truck seem more high end than just the stock carpet.
I have not had to remove them, the coverage is pretty extensive. The problem with most mats is that the coverage is poor or the edges curl up so you have to remove them to get all the crud out of the footwell. With these, everything stays on the mat. A quick vacuum and wipe down and i’m good.
@@fixorrepairdiy4609 Sometimes I like to remove my mat for cleaning - I like to use the hose and pressure wash sometimes. The Husky's have been very good to me over many years. No thru-holes to stay in place and contains spills whether they're liquid or dry.
@@toddolson7273 Huskys are excellent mats, was about to pull the trigger before I found these! Sounds like you got the right mat for your needs. cheers
I believe you need a larger box opener. 😉 I like those mats and how they extend back and over the carpet areas. I am very happy with the Husky Liners X-act Contour Series mats but may have bought these. Enjoy your videos, all the best.
Questions about Tux mat and Ford mat complaint. How far up under the pedals do the tux mat go and is it rigid??? I just bought a 2021 Powerboost 3 weeks ago. The “nice” Ford rubber mats came with it and I have had several issues with the driver side pulling back and covering the brake pedal. I wear lugged boots usually and the top left edge of the mat catches on the left boot lugs and pulls back the mat covering the brake pedal. The Ford mat is very floppy, not rigid at all. I need to replace the front Ford mats, very unsafe in my opinion. Love your channel and content. Thanks!!!!
Matt, the TuxMat goes up to the very edge of the carpet behind the pedals. I don't know what trim level you have and that might not help if you're XL/STX. But it does go way up/back behind the pedals. And the entire mat is anchored in several places so it really cannot move like you're talking about with the Ford mats. Cheers
About two years now. I think they're great! I haven't removed them yet, because the coverage is so good that nothing gets trapped behind them. Easy to wash off and looks great with very little maintenance. Essentially no wear after two years. Would buy again.
I realize this is a year old, but appreciate the comment as I was looking at buying these. Their website has a FAQ now: Where is TuxMat made? Mats are designed and shipped from our Toronto warehouse. They are manufactured in China.
I was fortunate. When i purchased my 23 PB it came with these. That helped show me the prior owner took pride in the truck. I love these mats
I was sold on these when I saw the coverage of the driver side liner. Thanks for the review.

Thanks David, I haven't removed mine yet! Very easy to clean up.

Thanks David i’m very happy that they don’t ‘look’ like floor mats. They look and feel like a premium floor. Glad you had a good experience. Cheers.
I think the only concern is when you're going to remove them for cleaning, you should re-install all clips again.

I got the tuxmat;s for my 2023 mazda 3. absolutely love them!

I've had them in for two years and there's absolutely no reason to remove them. The coverage is good enough that nothing gets behind/under them.
Killer video. Can't buy to wait these when I get my new truck next week!
I put lasfits in my truck. I absolutely love them
Excellent review, looks like I need to order TuxMat for my new Lightning!
I’m from Canada but didn’t know those were made here
But i also put these in my truck and honestly they are buy far the best mats
Thanks Josip!

Nice but looks like a hassle to clean them with the clips and adhesive to hold them in.

Is a Ka-bar knife overkill for opening boxes? 🙂

Any feedback on the mats now that you’ve had them installed for a year?

Those matts look like a nightmare everything you wash the truck to get them in and out.
Nope. Have never had to remove them once. Super easy to clean in place.
Mine were $125.00 and shipping was free in 2018 when I got them.
Can these be washed like weather tech?
Yes I wash them all the time but have never had to remove them from the vehicle due to the coverage.
I have had my lasfits in my truck for just over two years and they are holding up very well. They are laser fit hence the name lasfit.
I know that owner of Tuxmat. He's a Chinese immigrant in Canada. I can guarantee you tuxmats are made in China, not Canada.
Well damn. Thought I was at least keeping the money on-continent. Thanks for the info.
@@fixorrepairdiy4609 Does it have a 'made in XXXXX' anywhere on the mat? I'm looking for made in USA/Canada or Mexico. Want to keep it in N.A.
@@Chris-ut6eq try weathertech or husky
