(oh and btw, ledgers and mark hammils joker - from arkham - were losing hair quite badly, just look at some photos / screens. it wouldnt even take for them 2-3 years and they would be completely bald) i understand some people like their joker to be "the sexiest man in the world" but... nah, not me. all in all... I dig it.
Saddam Hussein This. They have been accepting and loving a proto Joker without green hair and white face, yet somehow no hair = bad Joker. I guess people liked Leto more than I realized, because hey! He has hair and all that Joker is, is hair!
I personally would have loved if Jeremiah back in season 4 just had normal skin and his natural hair color and when ace chemicals came around he cane out looking like he did for the majority of season 5
I actually like the new look besides the hair he looks so much like the Arkhamverse joker. Besides someone brought up in the comments on another video that when we see him again he won't have the joker name yet since hell just be coming out of a comma with no memories of who he is. That got me thinking, maybe in this universe when the press or the gcpd gives him the nickname joker he could see that as a persona or a part to play and just like bobba says in the video he starts to wear wigs to get the iconic hair. I actually think that's fitting because joker's always been a showman. He sees his battles with Batman as a performance for all of Gotham to see. So just like how Bruce puts on the cowl and cape to become batman i see this newly born Jeremiah or "j" put on green wigs and extend his smile to become his "role" I guess you can say.
4:45 VERY NEGATIVE. Just when I convince my friends to watch Gotham again they see those blurred pictures and laugh at it. Anyway, great video Boba. The answer to our life's questions.
i think at some point they were planning on utilizing the Jerome clone from a long time ago, but since they had to wrap everything up in the last season they doubled down on Jeremiah and combined his story with what they were planning with the clone, i think the clone was meant to be the third joker, and thats why they did the gas, the gas was supposed to make Jeremiah into his ultimate Joker-y self and this clone wouldve been the one to fall into the Ace chemicals, of course this is all speculation, but it makes sense
The design pleases my inner classic horror fan like many of Jerome's looks. I was a little taken aback by this being our final impression of Gotham's Joker but I'd be lying if I said I didn't actually love this look.
I personaly like the look of "J". I don't mind the idea of less hair from the chemical burns. I just would've given him more strands of hair a bit more colored maybe greenish.
I have to say the look grew on me a lot. I was shocked at first like a lot of fans but I have grown to like it. I will miss Gotham and your recaps but luckily you do more show recaps! Keep up the great work!
Not going to lie when i first saw the leaks i was very disappointed, mainly because of the hair. But as more pictures got leaked i started to like it a little more and to be honest i kinda understand why they did the hair they way that they did. He feel in a vat of chemicals meaning he inst going to come out with this awesome stylish hair so logically it makes sense. Still going to take some time getting use to with how much little hair there is but I'm exited regardless because this is Cameron and we already know he kills it already. Hopefully people will give it a chance, Cameron did say he enjoyed playing J the most so that should say something...
thank you so much for the shoutout !!! :D I also share your vision for the Joker thing, I actually like that look ! I mean the hair thing is a little bit strange, but I'm still excited for it !
@@omarkarim2280 Why does everyone keep insisting that I'm like my brother he is nothing but a dead joke in world full of awful punchlines ...behold the truth face of Laughter !
Shit I totally forgot about Cameron mentioning Jeremiah's final look being nightmare fuel. This makes a lot more sense now! And thank you for being the only person Ive seen so far who isn't just complaining about this look, when I first saw it I was a bit shocked with the lack of hair but then instantly noticed how awesome the rest of it was. For those who are upset about the hair, yeah me too but what did y'all expect? For the vat to be full of Vitamin Green? He wasn't gonna walk out of there with clear skin and flowing hair
His entire new look reminds me of the Arkham city version of sick joker (aside from the hair and a bit of the bloody skin in the game), and that's what I like about his new version of Mr J
I didn’t know that wasn’t Camren Bicondova in those leaked images. I had to squint my eyes. I appreciate your opinion always Boba! It doesn’t have to be exactly like the comics. I wonder what this “Joker” will sound like?
I've got to say I wasn't a big fan of Joker's final look until that more clear one came out, I really do love that grotesque look with the burns but that hair was just the thing that threw me off, like, I do like the hair for the finale but it's just the thing that I don't understand why they went with that route, because prior to falling in the vat, especially in the episode Ace Chemicals, his hair looked green enough to me, but at the same time the lack of hair would make alot of sense being as these chemicals are clearly hot and toxic. Besides that I'm all for it
I mean it's a prequel and all, the Joker's hair in the Arkham games for example does look like a transplant and I can imagine he'd do that, for, I dunno, self image reasons? Ultimately it's credible as strong Chemicals would kill hair at the route and the more detailed images do show realistic acid burns. I'm looking forward to it either way.
The only issue I have with this look is the hair. Everything else is perfect, it just sucks that they don't seem to be allowed to give him his classic green hair :/ I think he'd look better with the classic purple hat that Joker occasionally wears.
I actually really like the look, I wasn’t a fan of him being bald at first cause it was so different but I understand why he looks the way he does. You know, he looks the way he should after falling into the chemical vat and it’s a 10 year time jump so he’s also meant to look older. He actually looks creepy to me and the last time we had a live action look of the Joker that tried to look creepy was Nicholson’s Joker. That’s an aspect of it that I appreciate. I thought they did a good job with the makeup but I do think that they could’ve put on the makeup without that added padding on the chin and forehead.
The lack of hair is REALLY bothersome. It is one of Joker's most recognizable traits. But maybe because they cannot use that bright green colour they decided on an entirely new concept with the baldness. However, I personally thought they had found a really great compromise using the black hair with a bit of green tint. 💁
I'm not surprised that they went with burnt skin and no hair. But yeah, I agree, they didn't need so much. I actually think it would be scarier with partial burns. I see a future Gotham having a scene where he maybe looks in the mirror with flickering lights surrounding it and puts on a wig. Maybe he'll have different kinds of wigs and make up? Something that reflects his circus background.
Maybe we’ll get a look at joker with a wig in last episode, similar to how we are going to get to see the batsuit allegedly. We have no clue. It’s just a few pics posted on the internet. I like the look. I personally think we may get a final look in last episode.
Not a fan of the hair, but aside from that I really dig the new look! I understand why some people don't like or even hate it, but a grotesc looking Joker always seemed like a interest idea for me.
I personally really like the acid burns and bloodshot eyes as a style. My only problem with his redesign is that Gotham villains seem to always be flashy and flamboyant. Riddler and Penguin seem to keep this in the time jump, but not J. I like the design, but he doesn’t look like he fits anymore. He looks like he belongs in the (Ex) batfleck movie
Jeremiah look like Tombstone and Hammerhead fused together. Oh and Boba I have a question for you what makeup design would you give Cameron to be *Mr.J*
I like the new look but that lack of hair tho 😆 Most probably expected it to be a cross between Jack Nicholson's widow peak and Heath Ledger's unkempt long hair.
I love Jokers look in Gotham. He should have always had chemical burns! Thank u Gotham for finally doing the look right! He can always put on a wig if he needs hair
You never disappoint to be the voice of reason Boba thank you! My opinion is Cameron has proved his acting chops in every scene he has been in on this show so while the first time I saw the pic I was nervous I just thought to myself would an actor who loves the Joker as much as this one does ever take on this new iteration if he didn’t feel it lived up to the hype and build up of the last five years? The answer NO so when I look at this I just think about how he’s gonna blow all the haters away and score himself one of the spots on the roster for BEST JOKER EVER!!! (Not that he hasn’t already but you know what I mean) But seriously thanks for the vid hopefully more people will see this from our point of view!
I was hoping they would go for the Dark Knight Returns Joker look, decent pretty face with wrinkles here and there, but I guess the Gollum hair makes a lot more sense after a dunk in acid. I never understand why the chemical bleaches Joker's skin without damaging or burning the skin.
Don't ever hesitate to get into details, Boba. Whether it involves talking about Jeremiah in Gotham or The Joker in the comics or anything. Whatever relates to the subject matter, utilize it. That said, I really liked how Jeremiah looked before falling into the chemicals. I also realized the problem with that. Everyone would still know who he was. The disfigurement at least provides an opportunity for everyone in Gotham to not know who The Joker is. His identity and backstory would leave individuals confounded. And that works out with the new facial image. I would have preferred hair, green hair or something else besides him being basically bald, but it's not a problem, really. However, the part I had a problem with was that they found Jeremiah. The main point of contention I have is how the scene played out. I was expecting something along the lines of what happened in The Killing Joke film. The Joker comes out of the chemicals and no one sees him or knows who he is. Something like that with Jeremiah. I'm not saying that because I believe that's the real origin of The Joker. I'm just saying that how it plays out in The Killing Joke provides a great setup for everyone not knowing who The Joker is. I just want something, anything, that makes it reasonable that people won't know who The Joker is in Gotham. But Bruce and Selina have seen him, as well as the medical staff or whoever else. So, if anything, that is one area where I'm wondering how they'll maintain the mystery behind The Joker in Gotham. How they'll see him for the first time, whoever it may be, and be like "who is that?", though we the audience will know. Also, it doesn't have to be about speaking badly about the showrunners, Boba. You can point out the flaws in some of the things they've. It's not like there's criticism that's unfounded. They've done a great job, overall. But there are problems. About the prosthetics, I actually hadn't thought about how they could be an impediment to Cameron's facial expressions. Good point, Boba. He really does do a great job with that. Anyway... would have liked something different or seen the original makeup artist at work, but it doesn't ruin anything for me. Cameron's performance has been so exemplary, they would have to do something so extraordinary to ruin it. I don't believe they will.
Gotham has given us several variations and origins of the Joker within the two characters. I think the last look is great especially when the proper lighting and shadows are present, in some of the leaks this is not the case and I think thats what some are responding to. Be happy that were getting another type of Joker. 😊
This is why i love you bro, i hardly ever find myself disagreeing with something you said. I think he looks sick & i feel like it will only make him go even crazier to embrace his new look even more. Honestly what did people expect though? He fell into a pool of toxic chemicals of course its gonna fuck him up. Im more surprised he didnt drown or something lmao
I neither like nor dislike the look. I just find the whole "ACE Chemicals" thing completely pointless at this stage. He was already transformed. As I said before, it would have made more sense if there was a plot twist. For instance, having Jeremiah killed off and someone else falling into the vat instead but whatever.
I love it. Brilliant. Way it should have always been. No one falls in a vat of chemical's and comes out looking like a matinee idol. Neon wig would be the icing on the cake
I personally like the look but don’t at the same time But it’s good that they Tried something new And People don’t Realise this But We Know What Hugo Strange Can Do Maybe he can Regrow His Hair Back
It reminds me of oldschool Phantom makeup too, which also fits. And like the Phantom, I half expect him to wear a wig half the time and only have it ripped off into the pictured state at a dramatic moment.
Finally 😂 Also BOBA MERCH IS 👌❤️ Btw I love what they have done with cam’s makeup especially the idea of giving it a burnt skin look . One thing I will say is HOLY CRAP I DON’T RECOGNISE JEREMIAH AT ALL which is fine because they still did such an amazing job 😊
I LOVE the look for the Cameron's Joker!!!!!!!! This is easily the scariest look we have gotten for a live acton joker and it gives me literal chills! I love the elongated chin and exaggerated facial prosthetics like the forehead and cheeks! Everything about it looks amazing including the suit, the only thing that bothered me at first was the hair but I actually do not mind it anymore and think it looks scary as heck!!!! Overall, I love the burns on the face specially and the makeup in my mind looks great, I love this look and it gets me even more hyped to see Camerons performance in the finale, he is my favorite Joker of all time and I think he will prove all the haters wrong by his performance and that will change the haters minds a little bit and like the look more!!!!!
I understand people like everything to resemble something close to the comics but i like how Gotham puts their own spin on everything and makes it their own thing. Awesome video as always boba and liking the merchandise 👌🏻
Though I loved the fact that even when Jerome was disfigured by the face removal the subsequent scarring was still more realistic than cartoonist, overall, I actually kinda dig this final look; something I've loved about Cameron's Jerome/Jeremiah evolution toward Joker has been that the appearances & mannerisms have been interwoven hat-tips to do many of the most iconic Joker looks & styles, both screen & print. Maniax-Jerome was all about Batman:TAS's Mark Hamil-esque flair for giddy showmanship & the way he danced around while shooting during the cheerleader-bus scene has a real 1989 Nicholson vibe. Post-resurrection-Jerome's face removal & reattachement was pure New 52 & Death of the Family with Heath Ledger's hunched stalking/prowling posture & gravel-growl voice (death by sliced windpipe'll do that to a guy). Post-Spray-Jeremiah's darker tones to the bleached skin & sunken eyes & painted lips has been a beautiful homage the original characters inspiration "The Man Who Laughs" & has drawn some of his wardrobe & some early scenes directly from a couple of The Killing Joke's more classic images (Jeremiah clasping his hair in both hands as the smile spreads & his eyes go wild was beyond perfect). Not a whole ton of Cesar Romero style or real Silver Age (though I'd almost consider his Mask Of Zorro antics of screen to be a bit of a hat tip), but otherwise pretty much the only classic look they haven't much touched on is that grotesque acid-burn. I dig it. I'm with you on the prosthetics, too. My only real worry is concern over whether or not they'll move well in his face it whether they'll accidentally serve to mute Cameron's actual expressions somewhat (which would be a shame).
IMO: Love the way his face looks, hate that they removed his hair. You showed that pic of Arkham City Joker with the receding hairline, which is what I really wouldve loved to see J have in the time jump. Still think Cameron Monaghan's performance will be amazing. 🤡🦇
I didn’t have a problem with him being bald UNTIL I saw that picture of him with the green hair cause that looks perfect. Didn’t realizing how much it was missing till it was there but damn that face with the green hair just looks like a comic book brought to life
I agree. Jeremiah already looked Joker-ish, any more chemical interference would disfigure him a lot. Though now that Jeremiah's apparently bald, one wonders if he'll either grow his hair back or wear a toupee/wig in the future lol.
I love that they have made him hideous, Makes it more real to me. Like this would be how someone would look after falling in some chemicals. He wasn't going to come out looking more flawless. Haha. Cant wait to see it on TV in the last ep. I am wondering now though, where is Ecco?
The only thing i don't like is that he has no hair, other than that i think he has one of the best Joker Look that i've ever seen. But even though he doesn't have green hair i can accept it because its realistic and makes sense + he looks like a goddamn Nightmare which i LOVE and i know Cameron is going to be absolutely incredible and i'm pretty sure his performance will make 80% of the "haters" accept that he is bald. But hair or no hair, i still think he looks much better than Jared Leto and mr. Birthday Clown
I think what they are going for is that because of the chemicals the skin not just burned but also tightened up a bit so really any facial feature would be brought to the max. This could also be why his hair is longer. When skin retracts and tightens up with corpses not just the facial features become more accentuated but hair also seems longer because it doesn't retract with the skin.
It's better than Leto. I see Arkham mixed with Jack's make up in Batman 89'. Him being bald makes sense. I can see that guy poisoning cotton candy, killing the 2nd Robin, I see the orignal Joker in it.
I really think they should should have used less make up because like you said, Carmeron already has The Joker like facial expressions so I feel it is going to be harder for him to use them, I really like the idea of the scarring & burns but they just went a bit overboard. Also the hair just kind of looks ridiculous, but if he does wear a green wig or something I would be down for that.
The gruesome look with his face scared and with the smile looks great. I wish he had classic Green Hair from the comics giving streamlined because that would be definitive look for the character. They have been accepting and loving a proto Joker without green hair and white face, yet somehow no hair = bad Joker. I guess people liked Leto more than I realized, because hey! He has hair and all that Joker is, is hair!
george2p because that was before his transformation. Since this is what his final appearance as the joker is that’s why I hate it
@@Operation_Bagel Because of no hair?
george2p yes because of no hair and terrible makeup that doesn’t even look slightly real
Still a hell of a lot better than jared leto's joker
yep

i think at some point they were planning on utilizing the Jerome clone from a long time ago, but since they had to wrap everything up in the last season they doubled down on Jeremiah and combined his story with what they were planning with the clone, i think the clone was meant to be the third joker, and thats why they did the gas, the gas was supposed to make Jeremiah into his ultimate Joker-y self and this clone wouldve been the one to fall into the Ace chemicals, of course this is all speculation, but it makes sense
The design pleases my inner classic horror fan like many of Jerome's looks. I was a little taken aback by this being our final impression of Gotham's Joker but I'd be lying if I said I didn't actually love this look.
Love your pops in the background
Been so excited for this video Boba
I personaly like the look of "J". I don't mind the idea of less hair from the chemical burns. I just would've given him more strands of hair a bit more colored maybe greenish.
Jeremiah at the start of season 5 looks just like a young TAS Joker
Slythey I liked the idea as well but then I realize this show doesn’t have a good history of using logic lol
thank you so much for the shoutout !!! :D I also share your vision for the Joker thing, I actually like that look ! I mean the hair thing is a little bit strange, but I'm still excited for it !
I prefer the normal jerimiah just more crazy
Nice of you to say but you of all people should know ...there's nothing wrong with Me ! 🃏
There's plenty wrong with you
to quote jerome..
“What the hell is wrong with you?”

@@omarkarim2280 Insane ?! HA HA HA ! after A.C.E Chemicals I never felt better
Man you LOVE Star Wars don’t you? (the background)
Besides that I'm all for it
I would have liked the hair looking like how Jack Nickelson’s hair looked in Batman.
When I saw it at first, I was like, "meh."
After the HD images and thinking about it, I liked it.
After this video, I love it.
Randomly found you. Glad I did. I do pretty much just watch your Gotham vids or anything Joker related really keep up the good work
Your hoodies and t shirts goes hard 💯
The only issue I have with this look is the hair. Everything else is perfect, it just sucks that they don't seem to be allowed to give him his classic green hair :/
I think he'd look better with the classic purple hat that Joker occasionally wears.
When i saw those pictures i was like "He's just a joke,without a hairline"
But its kind of growing on me
At the monent, i dont know if i like it, or dont like it. I guess, i have to wait till i see it on screen. (; great Video Mr Boba as always !
I really don't like it idk I thought I'd warm up to it but I just can't, he's turned into God damn Gollum
You’re right the picture of the joker on your book doesn’t look good... but at least he has hair
The lack of hair is REALLY bothersome. It is one of Joker's most recognizable traits.
But maybe because they cannot use that bright green colour they decided on an entirely new concept with the baldness. However, I personally thought they had found a really great compromise using the black hair with a bit of green tint. 💁
Can't wait to see the Joker among the Whisperers on The Walking Dead!
First look for me was a wtf, but after looking at it looks scary as hell and i digg it
Jeremiah look like Tombstone and Hammerhead fused together. Oh and Boba I have a question for you what makeup design would you give Cameron to be *Mr.J*
I like the new look but that lack of hair tho 😆 Most probably expected it to be a cross between Jack Nicholson's widow peak and Heath Ledger's unkempt long hair.
The Yoda picture is bothering me lol it's a tad crooked
That photoshopped image with joker having hair is so heckin cool!
Boba ur merch is so gooooooooooddddd
The more I see it the more it grows on me I’m starting to really like it can imagine a fight between David Mazouz Batman and this joker
Boba, we need you. You're the answer to your fans' questions
I was hoping they would go for the Dark Knight Returns Joker look, decent pretty face with wrinkles here and there, but I guess the Gollum hair makes a lot more sense after a dunk in acid. I never understand why the chemical bleaches Joker's skin without damaging or burning the skin.
I dig the new look of Jeremiah #buybobamerch
It reminded me jack Nicholson joker, when he. Is getting fixed up by the doctor but darker and gruesome. I'm liking it.
2018: What have they done to Jerome?! They ruined him!
2019: What have they done to Jeremiah?! They ruined him!
I like how they’re taking a realistic take on the joker, with him falling in the acid and actually scarring
Looks fine to me. His outside appearance now matches who he is on the inside. A monster.
My favorite Joker design
Just subbed also I’m really hype for Gotham today
I love it. It is way closer to comics than Ledger or Leto, even without the hair. Also, hair doesn't make Joker.
I love it. Brilliant. Way it should have always been. No one falls in a vat of chemical's and comes out looking like a matinee idol. Neon wig would be the icing on the cake
I personally like the look but don’t at the same time But it’s good that they Tried something new And People don’t Realise this But We Know What Hugo Strange Can Do Maybe he can Regrow His Hair Back
If he can it will likely be off screen in a comic continuation a la Smallville Season 11.
Green hair would of made the look perfect
It reminds me of oldschool Phantom makeup too, which also fits. And like the Phantom, I half expect him to wear a wig half the time and only have it ripped off into the pictured state at a dramatic moment.
I'm so sad they didnt give him hair, other than that, the look is perfect I love the face so much but he looks kinda dopey without the hair
Finally 😂
Also BOBA MERCH IS 👌❤️
Btw I love what they have done with cam’s makeup especially the idea of giving it a burnt skin look . One thing I will say is HOLY CRAP I DON’T RECOGNISE JEREMIAH AT ALL which is fine because they still did such an amazing job 😊
I find it hard to believe this is after the 10 year time jump.
I like the look but the hair kinda bothers me but if he wears a hat like he had in season 4 when he blowed the clocktower then i dig his look
I really wasn't happy with Jeremiah's/The Joker's final look but you really changed my mind and I like it now!
I like to think that is Jeremiah when he regains consciousness and then we go to him having hair
Cameron is Just amazing as Jeremiah and will make joker even more frightening due to him losing the handsome joker face
I like the look I would just gave him the green hair and I can understand the Prosthetics I would say they're needed for the time jump
Boba talks do you think too face will be coming soon? Just a question
Lets talk about whyyyyy batman is the Best super hero of all time
But he isnt
Cuz the nolan movies were absolute bangers
Hell yeah! Best super hero ever 😎
He's not
Nolan is watered down trash
