Band-Maid is absolutly best live, having said that even their live recordings don't do their sound justice......when I saw them in Seattle a couple of weeks ago I was blown away by how good they sound 💯❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
One of the only rare days in eight years that I haven't listened to Band-Maid at home or in the car were the days I went to see them live! Thx, Joel!
This was from one of their live online concerts during the height of COVID lockdowns. They still bring the energy even when there was no audience.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Sayonakidori has been played in each and every concerts in their on-going US tour. This beautiful song surprised me when I found the meaningful and suggestive lyrics about two lovers on the verge of being parted had been inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. That is why Sayonakidori = Nightingale (*). Miku is a truly talented artist, and an excellent producer as well.
* Juliet "Wilt thou be gone? it is not yet near day: It was the nightingale, and not the lark, That pierced the fearful hollow of thine ear; Nightly she sings on yon pomegranate-tree: Believe me, love, it was the nightingale."
Miku is also the lead/solo singer on a few other BAND-MAID songs.
They are: 'Summer Drive', 'Big Dad', 'Beauty and The Beast', 'TIME' and 'Rock In Me'.
She also has a side project away from BAND-MAID known as cluppo.
There are three cluppo singles from her first EP (mini album) titled 'hatofull', which came out on March 9th, 2022.
They are 'PEACE&LOVE', 'Flapping Wings' and 'POGO'.
All three of these have music videos.
She also has a new cluppo single (and video) titled 'With You'.
That one was written for the end credits of the 'Smile of the Arsnotoria' anime series.

I was hooked (line and sinker lol) like a lot of us during the pandemic and I'm absolutely smitten by these ladies! They are so talented and you can tell they love what they do. I can't get enough!

My favorite Band Maid song… so glad it’s in the setlist for the current tour. What a show it was, too! It was a “bucket list” show for me. This full band version belongs to Miku and Kanami. Kanami, who has taught Miku rhythm guitar, is going nuts through the whole song but never overpowers anyone else. She often does that and it’s why she’s up there with Tony Iommi, Frank Marino, and Ritchie Blackmore as one of my favorite guitar players. And then Miku shows her front-woman capabilities, beautiful vocals, and damn fine guitar playing as well. She’s the heart of Band Maid.

For Miku's birthday in Dallas they played this song and Rock in Me another one of her lead songs.

The high note at the end, that Miku hits was sung in her chest voice. She was told she COULD NOT use her head voice, which she did use in the acoustic version. Showing just how versatile a singer Miku is. Miku also arranged the acoustic version almost entirely by herself, just needing some help with some of the chording. And Miku is a MezzoSoprano, so her vocal range is actually much lower than Saiki, the lead singer and much higher as well. She just doesn't have the same vocal power that Saiki does. Which is why they brought Saiki in to the band, so they could have a strong powerful voice out in front.

@@GaryAa56 Not really, I just read all of the translated interviews over on the sub reddit and remember things.
The only problem with this song is it’s too short!!! I wish the closing guitar solo went on for another 16 or 20 bars and then had another full closing section. But, that’s our maids, always leaving us wanting more!! Plus, even though she’s not on stage, first lead singer Saiki makes an appearance as it’s her in the talking voiceover piece. That are absolutely incredible!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😀

Akane is am on drums! Misa is incredible on bass! What can you say about Kammis' guitar, she just rocks out! Miku has wonderful vocal!

Well, in my opinion, a video that will really get your attention with these women, is the "Manners/Black Hole" live video. A 2 for1 offering, that is absolute magic.
Two songs from different ends of the spectrum. It takes a while to re-align the senses after 'Black Hole'. You'll know what I mean when you see it.
I'm not sure if someone mentioned it already but Kanami-san, the lead guitarist, is her guitar teacher. :)
This version of Sayonakidori is incomparably better to me. It's essentially a duet between Miku's voice and Kanami's guitar with the bass/drum rhythm section going ham the whole time. One of my favorite Band Maid songs.
BECAUSE THERE ISN'T REALLY TOO MANY PRO SHOT VERSIONS OF THESE 3 SONGS.( UNLESS YOU KNOW WHERE TO LOOK FOR THEM ). I ENJOY PROBABLY 90% OF THEIR STUFF. I LEAN MORE TOWARDS THE MELODIC THEN THE CHAOTIC. GO WITH THE ORIGINAL MUSIC VIDEOS OF THEM. AND THAT WOULD BE MY FAVORITE NUMBER ONE SONG BY THEM. A MASTERPIECE CALLED, DAYDREAMING. ALONG WITH BUBBLE AND ENDLESS STORY. TAKE CARE AND BE WELL ALWAYS !
