I have a theory: This was the video that inspired The Stupendium to make Unlikely Cyphers. This came out before his Muppet Cypher and he was apart of this one, and this is REALLY unlike most other cyphers. Feels too much planned to be a coincidence.
In the Muppets Cypher video description, he says, "I say this fully in the knowledge that I actually started this project in 2021." I believe that instead, Freshy may have been inspired by Stupes.
I love that you combine references of the original fairytale with the adaptations, like the puss in boots mentions shrek but also says 'I made my g king of the castle' which is about the fairytale, its really fun and clever

I wish I knew what the Cheshire cat was referring to, like all of the lyrics have lines that are obvious references like hook's line "I'm getting Lost Boys, peace!" but does that count as a "hidden message?"
yes, but the cheshire cat states that there is multiple cyphers, and it seems unlikely that the multiple cyphers are all contained with this verse. this is because it's difference references hidden with a bit of wordplay, and that feels like there are other cyphers in other places. and the cheshire cat does say to rewind, possibly suggesting that there are more cyphers throughout the rap. this is just speculation, but it feel unnatural to have a rap be circulated around cyphers yet there's only one set of cyphers in the first verse, then not use cyphers throughout the rest of the rap.

This cypher can possibly be one of my favorites I ever listen, all the characters are really well made, love the rhymes and personal flow that every character had! I didn’t expect to find keyblade in here but he made an awesome interpretation of the cat, Dan, stupes, Floyd, shawadi, you, everyone made an incredible work in this! As I was looking through this rap, looking for all the hidden meanings, I was quite perplexed with Hook’s chorus, namely when the say “Bangarang”. When everything else has some sort of hidden reference, this random word didn’t quite make sense. Then, I understood. In the official music video for the song “Bangarang” (by Skrillex), a group of boys rob an ice cream van for the ice cream inside. The ice cream man loses his hand when it gets caught in the van door. At the end of the video, the boys return to pay the man back, and the man waves them goodbye with none other than: a hook for a hand. Amazing reference, I loved the rap so much. Good job!

Why does Shwabadi always have the most savage and fire bars in other cyphers. Whether its anime, fairtyales, etc. he always brings more heat than anyone else.
There's only one line in the opening verses that directly rhyme with Pan; Plan. The other two, Can't and Neverland, are only half rhymes and not even directly with each other. (Actually, you made me go back over Peter Pan's entire cipher in detail and there are only two direct lines that rhyme; Crooks - Hooks and License - Island.)
For english speaker who might not know keyblade that much: one of his most famous rap series is Epicas batallas de rap del frikismo which translates to “Epic rab battles of geekism” inspired of course by ERBH so seeing both him and EpicLloyd in the same rap is like a dream come true.

Stupendium as the Mad Hatter and Dan as the Cheshire Cat is so perfect I swear. There aren't characters who fit their respective styles more. Shwabadi as the Big Bad Wolf is my other favorite verse aside from those two, I love how over-the-top he is.

You know what I find most clever about this? Even if maybe it wasn't intentional, the opening 'narration rap' is not only a precursor for what's to come, it ALSO pretty much describes Freshy Kanal himself. Allow me to explain: "Once upon a time, there lived a boy who'd never age" - Describing Freshy Kanal being a young, spry male who never seems to age, since he keeps putting out rap videos each year and they just keep getting better. "He spent his time a-writing fire hooks upon a page" - Describing Freshy Kanal sitting down to write out the script for his next rap battle. "He chilled with those who chilled while weak-ass pussies got the boot" - Describing Freshy Kanal being friendly to those who liked his rap videos and understood they were all in good fun, while dismissing the 'weak-ass pussies' who couldn't handle rap battles and complained about them. "He lined each cat against the wall for all the king's mad men to shoot" - I honestly don't get this line. Even in the 'describing what you're about to watch' part of it, I still don't get it. Like, this was supposed to be about Puss In Boots again because of the 'cat'? Or was it about it the Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter, even though I still don't get it. But, for the sake of what I'm going for here...I'm gonna pretend this means that 'cats' are Freshy Kanal's 'raps', and the 'mad men' are UA-cam commentators, and 'shooting' means giving comments. "Through each hood he went a-riding" - Describing how Freshy Kanal will tackle any 'hood', AKA take any character from any place and try to make a rap battle between them. "Spitting rhymes and nary capping" - Describing how Freshy Kanal 'spits rhymes' and, as much as I hate the stupid internet slang, the 'no cap' means he doesn't lie, so he only 'spits the truth', which is debatable but in terms of rap battles, that is indeed Freshy's goal. "Notoriously big and bad 'twas not your granny's rapping" - Describing how Freshy Kanal is a 'big, bad' rap artist, making patting himself on the back a bit, and also claiming how 'this wasn't your granny's rapping', indicating that we aren't doing childish raps here; we're doing hardcore stuff. "For he'd been to quell the giants who went stalking through the night" - Describing how Freshy Kanal tries to cover some 'titans' when it comes to well-known characters, but also those lesser-known ones that are 'stalking through the night', AKA those not really known. "His tales were loosey-goosey but his bars were fucking tight" - Describing how Freshy Kanal's animation and videos are mostly cutesy and cartoonish, but the lyrics he writes are 'fucking tight', AKA very creative. Again, yes, I KNOW that this part is meant to allude to Peter Pan, and Captain Hook, and all the other characters coming up...but I really do think it has a double-meaning and the narrator is having his own opening rap about Freshy Kanal, the creator himself!

I have a theory:
This was the video that inspired The Stupendium to make Unlikely Cyphers. This came out before his Muppet Cypher and he was apart of this one, and this is REALLY unlike most other cyphers. Feels too much planned to be a coincidence.
In the Muppets Cypher video description, he says, "I say this fully in the knowledge that I actually started this project in 2021." I believe that instead, Freshy may have been inspired by Stupes.

yes, but the cheshire cat states that there is multiple cyphers, and it seems unlikely that the multiple cyphers are all contained with this verse. this is because it's difference references hidden with a bit of wordplay, and that feels like there are other cyphers in other places. and the cheshire cat does say to rewind, possibly suggesting that there are more cyphers throughout the rap.
this is just speculation, but it feel unnatural to have a rap be circulated around cyphers yet there's only one set of cyphers in the first verse, then not use cyphers throughout the rest of the rap.

As I was looking through this rap, looking for all the hidden meanings, I was quite perplexed with Hook’s chorus, namely when the say “Bangarang”. When everything else has some sort of hidden reference, this random word didn’t quite make sense. Then, I understood. In the official music video for the song “Bangarang” (by Skrillex), a group of boys rob an ice cream van for the ice cream inside. The ice cream man loses his hand when it gets caught in the van door. At the end of the video, the boys return to pay the man back, and the man waves them goodbye with none other than: a hook for a hand. Amazing reference, I loved the rap so much. Good job!

You know what I find most clever about this? Even if maybe it wasn't intentional, the opening 'narration rap' is not only a precursor for what's to come, it ALSO pretty much describes Freshy Kanal himself. Allow me to explain:
"Once upon a time, there lived a boy who'd never age" - Describing Freshy Kanal being a young, spry male who never seems to age, since he keeps putting out rap videos each year and they just keep getting better.
"He spent his time a-writing fire hooks upon a page" - Describing Freshy Kanal sitting down to write out the script for his next rap battle.
"He chilled with those who chilled while weak-ass pussies got the boot" - Describing Freshy Kanal being friendly to those who liked his rap videos and understood they were all in good fun, while dismissing the 'weak-ass pussies' who couldn't handle rap battles and complained about them.
"He lined each cat against the wall for all the king's mad men to shoot" - I honestly don't get this line. Even in the 'describing what you're about to watch' part of it, I still don't get it. Like, this was supposed to be about Puss In Boots again because of the 'cat'? Or was it about it the Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter, even though I still don't get it. But, for the sake of what I'm going for here...I'm gonna pretend this means that 'cats' are Freshy Kanal's 'raps', and the 'mad men' are UA-cam commentators, and 'shooting' means giving comments.
"Through each hood he went a-riding" - Describing how Freshy Kanal will tackle any 'hood', AKA take any character from any place and try to make a rap battle between them.
"Spitting rhymes and nary capping" - Describing how Freshy Kanal 'spits rhymes' and, as much as I hate the stupid internet slang, the 'no cap' means he doesn't lie, so he only 'spits the truth', which is debatable but in terms of rap battles, that is indeed Freshy's goal.
"Notoriously big and bad 'twas not your granny's rapping" - Describing how Freshy Kanal is a 'big, bad' rap artist, making patting himself on the back a bit, and also claiming how 'this wasn't your granny's rapping', indicating that we aren't doing childish raps here; we're doing hardcore stuff.
"For he'd been to quell the giants who went stalking through the night" - Describing how Freshy Kanal tries to cover some 'titans' when it comes to well-known characters, but also those lesser-known ones that are 'stalking through the night', AKA those not really known.
"His tales were loosey-goosey but his bars were fucking tight" - Describing how Freshy Kanal's animation and videos are mostly cutesy and cartoonish, but the lyrics he writes are 'fucking tight', AKA very creative.
Again, yes, I KNOW that this part is meant to allude to Peter Pan, and Captain Hook, and all the other characters coming up...but I really do think it has a double-meaning and the narrator is having his own opening rap about Freshy Kanal, the creator himself!

@@tazdivil6527 yeah, i still think most of his battles were good, but like, i still think overall this year was slightly bellow the passed year y'know? Like yeah, we have masterpiece like this one, Robin vs Fawkes, Frodo vs Egyptian, but at the same time, IN MY OPINION, some battles like Scarecrow and Kraken vs Cthulhu was kinda... Still pretty good, but if a rank all of freshy battles (2019-today) they would be pretty low, still good though

Maybe the stories could be Aladdin and the magic lamp, Hansel & Gretel, Sleeping beauty, Rapunzel and maybe even some stories from ancient Greece such.

the fact that if I wasn’t told who’d the rappers play that I wouldn’t know EpicLLOYD would be Captain hook makes me love his verse more. Comes to show Lloyd’s ability to impersonate a ton of characters in rap battles and cyphers
