I didn't even notice the seemingly obvious applause in Fozzie Bear's part until I listened to the instrumental! I'm definitely listening to every instrumental version Stupes makes from now on, and I recommend you do, too.

I like how the stupendium is saying how ridiculous and bad this is while making straight 🔥 like it’s no one’s business. Everyone did simply perfect. Simply. Perfect. Do more PLEASE.
@@demonicbunbun6772 hi! I happen to be one of Stupes ' mods and i can answer. Songs are submitted to streaming platforms before the video goes up- at that point it's out of Stupes hands. You'll see it up soon!
Not only do I feel late to discovering this absolute gem of a cypher, but I adore the voices, the verses, the very silly puns, and I’ve been mumbling Lew Zealand’s clever verse for days as a verbal stim now after memorizing it quickly 😭 I am so glad I found this amazing song and channel, and hearing my favorite artists as my favorite Muppet characters is so fun. Can’t wait for the next unlikely cypher! I’ll definitely be here for it!
Okay, so after listening to this like a dozen times, definitely think that the best part is the instrumental. The fact that it changes for every single character to fit their vibe (Piano for Rowlf, the subtle “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” for Sam, turntable scratches for Rizzo, etc.) goes so far into building each character. Most of the time a cypher instrumental is there just to enhance or provide consistency from one verse to the next. This one, entirely on its own, justifies the entire existence of this video. Never before have I listened to a cypher and thought “Ooh, gimme that backing track.”
I have been dying over the lack of new Muppet content that doesn't suck. You all have delivered an absolute BANGER that outshines anything that Disney has done in the last two decades.
Look out for Muppets Mayhem this year (probably coming out in May), it's an Electric Mayhem series that was proposed and largely controlled by Bill Barretta so it has a good chance of being great. He's Dr. Teeth's current performer and wanted to do more EM content ever since their Outside Lands show in 2016
As someone who grew up watching the Muppets this was an absolute joy to listen to and I was grinning the entire time. :) I especially liked the voices for Gonzo, Rizzo, Bunsen, Sam and Pepe since they sounded so much like the actual characters and, even though I was expecting a verse for the Chef to show up at some point, I definitely was NOT expecting one for Lew Zealand, of all people. That was a major surprise.
I haven't seen the muppets since I was little. I'm beginning to think most of the humor flew over my head... I'll have to revisit them now that I'm an adult.
It’s neat how the characters have their own corresponding backing instruments playing while they’re rapping, like Kermit with his banjo, Honeydew+Beaker having a theremin, and Rowlf with a piano. Shows the amount of love put into this cypher!
I was expecting The Swedish Chef's verse to be absolute gibberish and was utterly surprised to find out it was actually comprehensible while still sounding like his regular vocal patterns. Wowza. Also, whoever did Gonzo just made my entire day, the voice impression was incredible and I will take my nonbinary rep any day of the week :)
Just to say that I just played this for my 62yo uncle (who basically doesn't touch the internet unless he's asking me to order something online) who saw the Muppets more frequently when I was younger and he found this very entertaining! He didn't say that he had a favourite part, but he agreed with me that it was very impressive that you were able to rap as the Swedish Chef. And given that there's almost 30 years age difference between us, I figure that's fairly impressive :D
Whoever had the idea to have JTM do Rizzo the rat, that is just… *mwah!* Chef’s kiss. I really hope this series continues on its own time, I would love to see more stuff like it! Awesome work on this from everyone involved!
I know they didn't get a verse but I can't let Statler and Waldorf go without recognition. Those two are peak my humor and wit and I feel like you played them to a tee
The Swedish Verse really surprised me by being in the same Faux Swedish spoken on the show but it's such a Stupendium move, I tip my hat to you sir! Then there's also the fact that this is 9 MINUTES LONG???!!! I didn't check the length before clicking on the video and I'm astounded by the amount of effort and passion put into a cypher that might not get off the ground! I think it's going to do great! Wishing you much luck! Can't wait to listen to this for hours!
@@h3lblad3 ah! I didn't know the Chef didn't actually speak Swedish! With the English lyrics at the bottom of the screen, I just assumed! Thanks for letting me know!
Really? This massive Muppet fan was really thrown in the first verse by the use of Wilkins and Wontkins in the clips... and the simultaneous references in the lyrics to taking guns to TV spots... whoever wrote that seems to think Wilkins is Kermit, despite Kermit being older than Wilkins. Kinda diminished my enjoyment of the whole thing.
@@unicornfoal oh no I absolutely find that annoying too but it’s been VERY VERY long since I’ve seen anyone ever reference Kermit’s Swamp Years (it’s a guilty pleasure) so I had to go YIPPIE about it.
I might be slow picking up on this but the genius of "we need some AMERICAN rappers" immediately followed up by an Australian and a Canadian I feel should be noted. Hilarious! 'its hard to soar with eagles when you work with turkeys' is also a burn and a half.
There's another layer to that one. The turkey was almost the national bird of the US. As always, Stupendium works on more levels than _House of Leaves._
I actually couldn't stop smiling throughout this entire video. If this series doesn't take off, I'm gonna blow a gasket. All of you guys are so talented and the fact that this exists makes me happier than I can say. Stupe's epic animation and editing skills is icing on the cake.
Animal's verse was genius with the line, "Yeah, let me kick it back a couple decades and be frank for a sec"! I do have to assume it is a reference to Frank Oz, Animal's original performer from 1975-2000 :]
Of all the nerdcore artists I follow, Stupendium always has the highest quality special events. This is no exception. Damn fine work from everyone on this track, I'm excited to see where this series goes.
This is great, and as a Swede I can really appreciate that in the middle of the gibberish that is the Swedish Chefs lyrics you made the effort to correctly spell Smörgåsbord
@@Styx771Swedish Chef mostly speaks in jibberish, with the occasional English and a bit of coherent Danish, though mostly to give humorous names to various food items and cooking utensils. Ironically enough, in the Swedish dub of the Muppets, he’s the only character who doesn’t speak Swedish.
The swede bars!? BRO. That was superb, and then to turn it to absolutely perfect character play, and THEN to hook up the subtitles with the goodies... This was WAY better than I expected.

I gotta say I LOVE how each segment has their own personalized background music. Like for example you can hear a banjo in the background for Kermit and Miss Piggy's theme sounds a bit snooty to match her personality I am just amazed at the quality of this whole thing omg
I think I've hit the jackpot. Ciphers of unexpected gangs like The Muppets? With bars like these? Heck yeah! (Hey, that list makes it sound like the Solar System is next?? Pluto and Charon better get their part!) Fantastic work, all of you!
@James Olszewski I think for a future Unlikely Cypher, they should do WWE Legends: Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena, Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Macho Man, Ric Flair, Ultimate Warrior, Edge, Eddie Guerrero, Andre the Giant, Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, and Dusty Rhodes.
Holy cow! This was amazing! Freecd's Kermit sliding right in to Dan Bull's Gonzo! Then JT's Rizzo! Then The Swedish Chef and Bunsen and Beaker! Just awesome! So perfect! Then Chi-Chi's Mrs. Piggy! I have way too many favorite parts!
You know? This is somehow exactly what this genre needs. Something to get out of Nerdcore's comfort zones with the latest anime or trending videogames. Pushing the boundaries of what the audience would think about when they think about rapping and nerd genres. I think this is great, and everyone did an awesome job with their part. I absolutely loved the asides where Statler and Waldorf just break the flow for a second to throw a one liner in and worked the artists into their punchlines. I personally cannot wait until the next one of these Unlikely Cyphers. What will you cover next? The periodic table of elements (for some hour long spectacular of ... geez 112 elements? you could probably break it down either by atomic number or elemental group, and even then...)? Ancient civilizations? A cypher about the different people on the track but all of them are mixed up so that each one's part is in somebody else's hands? Different types of bees? 90's sitcoms (Friends Cypher?)? Chewing Gum Brands? I don't know how any of those listed could be one, but it would be weird and awesome all at the same time.
@@jiado6893 OMG YOU REQD THE BOOKS TOO?? I NEED TO GET A COPY OF 4 AND BEYOND CAUSE I LOST MINES WHILE I WAS MOVING (Sorry abt all the caps it’s just that I never expected someone else to read those books too!)

Dude, no mention of Dick Tracy? Come to think of it, the challenge would be to avoid having too many detectives included that are basically ripping off Sherlock or Batman. lol
Ngl I just came back here because I was bored during a power outage and wrote up bars for Inspector Gadget... for some reason. Anyways I thought "hey wasn't detective wasn't one of the unlikely cipher categories?" so I pulled the video up to check and not only is it there, clearly from here the fans too are fond of the notion. So hey, if no one writes a Gadget verse, I got one right here, I'll send it in the mail
As the biggest Muppet fan in 100 miles of me, I've got to say, the attention to detail and references are something I haven't seen since 2011. This is incredible
I got a great idea for another cypher episode. You could do a narrator cypher, it could include narrators from “Dude, Stop”, “There Is No Game”, “The Stanley Parable”, “Little Misfortune”, etc. That would be amazing.
9 minutes of PURE CINEMA. how the hell do(most)of these people sound MORE like the muppets THAN THE MUPPETS?!!!? this is so good I think the muppet fandom might be revived
I appreciate that Freeced delved deep enough into Kermit's lore that they knew to include stuff like the coffee ads, Croaker & Goggles, and even how the first Kermit puppet was made from an old coat in the lyrics.

If they do this, I would really like a Senor Cardgage verse
@@genethesupreme LOLOLOL yes please!

If it ever came to fruition, that video would be inde-*cypher*-able
@@Sick-cada I like that pun, but I still want Statler and Waldorf to heckle it for some reason.
I hope you guys have as much fun making this series as we'll have hearing it.
This was a song and series we never knew we needed and wanted. Not to mention that some of the impressions in this are amazing, especially Gonzo and Rizzo. Fun fact did you know Miss Piggy is actually voiced by a man, and its the same man who voices Fozzy Bear.
Ironically, both of their cypher parts use the phrase "hem and haw".
Also Yoda
And Bert.
does this mean miss piggy is a trans queen?
but, misss piggy is voiced by chi-chi, and fozzie is voiced by mgwire?
I just wanna thank Danbull for the references to Muppets in Space. To this day it’s my favorite muppet movie!
Dan Bull did a pitch perfect Gonzo impression, and JT nailed it as Rizzo
I like how the stupendium is saying how ridiculous and bad this is while making straight 🔥 like it’s no one’s business. Everyone did simply perfect. Simply. Perfect. Do more PLEASE.
"With our very special guests... uh, half of nerdcore!" xD
So wholesome ❤ everyone bringing their best cartoon voice is awesome. This is me asking for the cyphers you don't think we want ;)
This whole series is for 'Cyphers you don't KNOW you want yet.' ;)
@@TheStupendium Is this on Apple Music anywhere?
Lew Zealand's verse had no reason to be as good as it was, like, wow.
@@Springdude11 agreed! I still mumble it to myself as a verbal stim from time to time, the fish puns are too immaculate
@LovelyBriarRose True, like me some good puns.
Also sometimes have it stuck in my head as well.
You are my personal hero and the reason I exist.
You must be VERY happy right now.
Apple Music has the instrumental, now.
An absolute masterpiece.
Might I even say, Stupendous
Bro it was released 1 second ago how do you know?
I mean, were they WRONG?
I have been dying over the lack of new Muppet content that doesn't suck. You all have delivered an absolute BANGER that outshines anything that Disney has done in the last two decades.
This is so true. This is an awesome cypher where every part is perfect.
Look out for Muppets Mayhem this year (probably coming out in May), it's an Electric Mayhem series that was proposed and largely controlled by Bill Barretta so it has a good chance of being great. He's Dr. Teeth's current performer and wanted to do more EM content ever since their Outside Lands show in 2016
IDK I liked the last two movies and the Haunted Mansion was cute
@@fishdude2954 Thank you for the heads-up! That's fantastic news!
@@TehLucario Haunted Mansion had its moments for sure.
I will never get over how good a line "They sent me a Baretta when Jim Henson left the kitchen" is
As someone who grew up watching the Muppets this was an absolute joy to listen to and I was grinning the entire time.
What are the rest of them?
Or is it just those three?
I think animal has his trademark drums

I was expecting The Swedish Chef's verse to be absolute gibberish and was utterly surprised to find out it was actually comprehensible while still sounding like his regular vocal patterns. Wowza.
Also, whoever did Gonzo just made my entire day, the voice impression was incredible and I will take my nonbinary rep any day of the week :)
Well to be fair, even normal Swedish Chef-isms are still vaguely intelligible.
If you check the chapters, it says danbull sung for gonzo
It did remind me of the Pyro verse in most fashionable video, if you read along it snaps in place mostly.
Yeah, the Chef's verse has the same energy as Pyro's verse. It's hard to tell just listening to it, but it is an actual full fletched verse
@phantom thief alibaba i use they/them pronouns myself and gonzo is my fav muppet sooooooo 👀
The banjo in Kermits verse is ADDICTING
Same with guitar in Dr Teeths
Just to say that I just played this for my 62yo uncle (who basically doesn't touch the internet unless he's asking me to order something online) who saw the Muppets more frequently when I was younger and he found this very entertaining! He didn't say that he had a favourite part, but he agreed with me that it was very impressive that you were able to rap as the Swedish Chef.
And given that there's almost 30 years age difference between us, I figure that's fairly impressive :D
Really really hope the algorithm doesn't kill this series before we can get more of this kind of masterpiece.
stupendium is the only person who can rap in an accent so well that it hides a swear word but is still intelligible
1:20 The OG Kermit puppet was made from Jim Henson's mothers coat, nice reference!
Wooooooow
Nobody asked for this, but I certainly needed it. As a longtime Muppets fan, thank you, every one.
I love it when I see Chi-chi in a cypher but didn't expect her to nail Piggy's Voice and the "Wait that's all I get" YOU GO GIRL
Whoever had the idea to have JTM do Rizzo the rat, that is just… *mwah!* Chef’s kiss. I really hope this series continues on its own time, I would love to see more stuff like it! Awesome work on this from everyone involved!
AGREED, I wouldn’t have guessed it’d be Rizzo but it’s so perfect

The Swedish Verse really surprised me by being in the same Faux Swedish spoken on the show but it's such a Stupendium move, I tip my hat to you sir!
Then there's also the fact that this is 9 MINUTES LONG???!!! I didn't check the length before clicking on the video and I'm astounded by the amount of effort and passion put into a cypher that might not get off the ground! I think it's going to do great! Wishing you much luck! Can't wait to listen to this for hours!
It's not actual Swedish. It's the same kind of faux Swedish the Swedish Chef actually speaks.
@@h3lblad3 ah! I didn't know the Chef didn't actually speak Swedish! With the English lyrics at the bottom of the screen, I just assumed! Thanks for letting me know!
You know it’s a good day when you’re a massive muppet fan and the first verse makes you pop off like a muppet getting thrown into the air, HOLY FUCK!
Was not expecting a Mr. Dawson reference.
