This is one of the most thorough and well-thought-out instructionals I've ever seen. You have a natural way of explaining things and you don't go too far off on tangents which can confuse a lot of people. It's easy for very technical people to be confusing and never once was I confused. Lastly, a lot of instructional personalities are filling their videos with stories and stuff that just waste time. I know they do this to help tell stories or make the videos more "interesting" but honestly when I watch these videos I'm trying to get something done and don't really want to hear stories. haha. Your videos do the trick! I'm gonna be watching more of your videos.
Finally I found a video that I have been desperately looking for. You get right to the point without blabbering on and on like 85% of the videos I have attempted to watch. Very informative and I appreciate the fact that you explain everything while demonstrating the steps. Very well done Sir! Thank you!
First off thank you for watching and I appreciate you leaving me a comment. I'm glad the video was helpful if you have any question feel free to ask. Thanks again.
OXMANAGAIN--i bought an epson workforce 3620 today.i called epson and asked a few questions.i'm calling them tomorrow to help me set it up.i just finished watch 2 videos of yours.now i'll be better prepared to set it up and i feel much more at ease.i'm not too good with electronic stuff but you made it simpler for me.thank you.
Good job, I really like how you take your time to explain what you're doing. I have an Epson wp4530 with no instructions and I'm learning how to use it from these videos.
I have to thank you for this video. My wife owns this printer and she's not technically inclined at all. I am usually around to help her, but today I'm on the road and she needed to scan a 10 page 2-side document to PDF to send to the accountant. She called me very frustrated as she couldn't get it to scan properly. I looked at the User Manual, and it was useless. Came to UA-cam, searched for scanning on this printer and BAM! Your video came up. I was able to walk her through how to scan thanks to your video. Nice work.
You're very welcome and I appreciate you taking the time to leave me your comment. That is what makes UA-cam special, people get to help other people. Thanks for watching.
I just bought this printer today and was struggling to set it up, as it didn't come with any printed manual. This video helped me tremendously to set up my printer. Thank you so much oxmanagain
oxmanagain, I am VERY appreciative of your wonderful instructions on using Epson WF 3640. You went at just the right speed for a learner and your voice is calm and sweet. THANKS A LOT!!!
You Sir are a genius, thank you for the video. I was going nuts trying to figure out how to scan to computer and not get the popup that stops the scan. The USB memory in the printer works great!!!!
LYNN LEBEAU You're welcome and thanks for watching. In a day or so I'm about to release a new video on how you can print and scan from your phone. Thanks again and have a nice day.
Thank you, @oxmanagain! Thanks to your thorough and easy-to-follow explanations, I will be able to use my Epson to the fullest! The Epson support instructions take tons of time and so do other video instructors. Thank you for your outstanding help!!!
Thanks for the video. I have had this for a long time and I had never used the scanner before. I did not even realize that it had a place to put a thumb drive or an SD card.
Neal Montgomery You're welcome, the Epson workforce is an amazing printer. That it's why I made multiple videos. I just uploaded one the other day showing how you can print and scan from your cell phone. Thanks for watching I appreciate your time. ua-cam.com/video/9xr_fu511wI/v-deo.html
This was an excellent presentation! I love the Work Force line. I have two, the 645 and 4834. Both of them have been 100 reliable up to this point in time.
I appreciate your comment so much. I agree with you 100%, the Epson has been a great printer for me and has lasted many years. Since the video I have now upgraded to the Epson ET 4700 printer which has an amazing amount of pages that you can print. Thanks for watching I appreciate your time. You enjoy the rest of your day
I appreciate the demonstration of how to perform the various functions on this machine. I've had my old Brother tabloid-size printer for 6 years, and never did learn how to scan with the automatic document feeder. Never did use the fax, either.
Thanks bud. I was having crazy problems trying to scan from paper feed. Kept on giving me "computer is use" error when I was selecting scan to "computer". I tried the memory card option, so I put a memory card in then selected "memory card" instead of "computer" and then I was able to scan to computer. You're the bomb!
Thanx for your review. I've never had an Epson printer before and this has helped me immensely. You explain things really well and I like how you show all of the functions. :))
By the way here are 2 more videos I made if you need them in the future. The first one is on installing ink and the second one is a more detailed video on scanning documents/photos in high quality. ua-cam.com/video/zg_lpml6sSs/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/uOZ6vtnqTS0/v-deo.html
Thank you for this excellent and detailed review! Especially for showing the two side scan feature! I was searching for a video like this. One that would actually show how the two side feature works, but I couldn't find any. Then your review came out as a suggestion from UA-cam and bingo! Exactly what I wanted to see! Thanks again!
I appreciate the fact that you took the time to write me such a detailed comment on my video. I uploaded the video because I really like the printer and the features in the video I had just recently learned and I wanted to share. Thanks for watch and enjoy
which is the latest which is better L655 VS ET4550?, is it really noisy printers or that's what one would expect from ink printers? what do you recommend from your experience?, Thanks
I've had this printer since 2013. The same exact one maybe a little different than yours but it works great and I love that printer. Does a great job. I have a 256gb flash drive that I just leave plugged into it all the time.
Great video I've had my machine for 5 years and I didn't know you could copy/ scan from the top, this us amazing what U would like to know us how to print thicker card/paper from the back feeder.
oxmanagain, you could become a consultant of office business procedures. Giving insight, or help set-up small businesses office protocol. Help organize small businesses to function properly and help teach everyone how to use a system that best works for them. As a business owner, my mind is elsewhere, these small task cost me money and a days worth of profit. You seem to be amazing at that! That my friend....would make you a thriving business! And it wouldn't cost you a dime to start-up. 👍 Again, thank you so much!
Wow, that is something I never thought about doing. I appreciate you taking the time to tell me that. I will look into this, again I really appreciate your time, thank you.
Based on your excellent videos on this scanner / printer I bought one today for just $189 AUD (I'm in Australia). Just hooked it up and doing my first scan. I gotta say the scan quality is top of the line when it comes to scanners in this price range. The software is pretty good too. Hooked it up to my WIFI in just a few minutes. This is such a joy to work with. Now I just need to find lots of things I can scan, like passports, old paper photographs etc.
Very very nice review man! thnx fr your time to make the video. I'm waiting the order to comes in two day and im searching about this product. its honor that you answering at any comment you take! Dont answer to this one! :-)
I just got this printer. I set it up and the instructions are terrible. I couldn't figure things out. Thanks so much for doing this video! Very well explained. You didn't go too fast which made me feel comfortable, not intimidated, by this technology. You're awesome! I'll let you know if I have any questions (and it was light enough in the back of the unit where I could see what you were doing). I'll give that phone number a try to fax something to...unless you want to give me your number LOL.
Fax is a success! I had someone on Epson Live Chat while I went through the process. Thanks to you I asked if I could send a fax to them to test things out and, indeed, they a have a number. As you mentioned they also send a fax to make sure that I receive faxes. They gave me a different phone number (not a toll free number). I don't want to give that out because I don't know if that number applied to my situation while I was on live chat or if it's a number anyone can use. If there's any confusion call Epson or use the live chat feature. You may want to do another video on the fax setup and the different options available.
which is the latest which is better L655 VS ET4550?, is it really noisy printers or that's what one would expect from ink printers? what do you recommend from your experience?, Thanks
Thanks much for your video. I had been frustrated trying to scan, thinking it was like my previous HP All-In-One where it is accomplished by clicking on an icon on the computer screen. Thanks
oxmanagain, kind of interesting. I used the Epson fax back number you gave to test my new fax. I got a fax back saying it went through but it was from HP!
Patricia Anderson well what you do is scan to an SD card or a flash drive and then just insert that into your laptop. That is the benefit of scanning to a SD card because you can take it with you.
I know someone who has this and I'd like to be able to show her how to scan photographs at high resolution to either .JPG or .TIF... she lives two states away from me and is not very tech savvy, so a video of how to scan various sized images would be great! I have downloaded the manual, but I'm not so sure I can direct her as well as a video would, so please consider adding another tutorial of that.
Hey! Thanks for the great video, really helpful! I was just wondering if the printer does double sided copying? Also I can't decide between this or the HP Officejet Pro 6830 printer, do you have any thoughts?? Thanks again! :)
hey thanks for watching and yes it does double sided copying, I show it in the video towards the end. It does double sided copying and scanning. I don't know how good the HP office jet Pro is but I have had HP products in the past and they did work pretty good. As far as my opinion go this Epson is one of the best printers I've ever owned. I hope that helps thanks again.
I'm glad I could help you out. Thanks for watching. Here is a link to all the videos I made on the Epson Printer: ua-cam.com/play/PLsjtKqcR1K7V1P-ygPlwVHcbC1z8awvBj.html
When I scan a 2 sided document on this printer, it puts the pages as 1 and 2. Is there a way to just have both pages show on my computer as one document as when you saved to the memory device? Please advise if you can.
hi, ur vid helped me a lot, thanx. I just wna make sure if there is an option from the epson screen to copy and scan legal size documents? is it possible to scan and copy legal size documents?
To receive a fax, do I just be sure the printer is turned on, & everything will happen automatically when someone sends me a fax.....or do I need to do something further? I have the Epson Workforce WF-3640.
hi i have a probleme in my epson i receive fax but it stays on the machine and i dont know how to print it . thank you for this video i learn a lot a big hello from morocco
Just bought this today. Thanks for this video! I couldn't figure out how to use the top part. How did your scanned file get to your computer when it was saved in your flash drive/sd card? Didn't you need to pull it out of the printer first then plug it in your computer?
First off you're welcome and thanks for watching. You can transfer the information from your flash drive or SD card while they are still in the printer or just take them out of the printer and put them in the computer. But a little tip if you leave them in the printer you can't delete the info off, you can copy it but not delete it. Thanks again.
Very informative video! Thank you so much! I have a hard time knowing which side is the print side in each tray as well- I first placed photo paper in the way my old Canon did it, and what came out of there looked quite SCARY :) LOL ... also wondering... have tried printing on a transparency?
it works it works it work the fax test Gracia gracias gracias gracias., not the rest., is the first time I play with my printer for my condition ( trematodes atritis)
quality... exactly! the bane of my existence is the feeder tray with the maximum resolution of 300dpi.... the minimum requirement for my job is 600dpi(ppi)
hi thanks for the detailed review. I bought one yeaterday after watching this video and I have one question. I tried scanning 17 pages both side via wifi and that was too slow( almost 30 min or over). have you had the same problem? I wouldn't be surprised by the difference but I just wonder if I needed to buy the usb cable.(it was not included)
First off thanks for watching. I only scan to a sc-card for that reason. It takes me only a few seconds, wow 30 min is a long time. Thanks for the information.

You Sir are a genius, thank you for the video. I was going nuts trying to figure out how to scan to computer and not get the popup that stops the scan. The USB memory in the printer works great!!!!

Great straight forward instructions. Thanks much for the help
Epson all-in-ones are great when they use DURAbrite Ultra Ink. The printouts are water resistant.
I've had this printer since 2013. The same exact one maybe a little different than yours but it works great and I love that printer. Does a great job. I have a 256gb flash drive that I just leave plugged into it all the time.
Wow 256gb. Yeah, I recently bought a new printer. A Canon and I might be going back to the Epson just a newer model.
awesome for that fax number, I pray mine works as good as yours
Thank you so much for these videos. I’m autistic and dyslexic, and reading instructions is a nightmare😣

You're welcome and I think it's impressive that you own a business. I can fax and I don't own a business you win let's trade haha. Thanks for watching.

thanks for the nice words and for watching.
let me know if the fax was a success or not.
You're welcome and thanks for watching both videos. You have a nice blessed day.
oxmanagain, kind of interesting. I used the Epson fax back number you gave to test my new fax. I got a fax back saying it went through but it was from HP!
Yeah I know, I must of got the numbers mixed up. Haha.
Do you have a video showing how to scan to your lap top?
Patricia Anderson well what you do is scan to an SD card or a flash drive and then just insert that into your laptop. That is the benefit of scanning to a SD card because you can take it with you.
Thanks Buddy. Helped out with faxing!
You're welcome and thanks for watching.

It's good in printing photos !
In a pinch, it will work.
I know someone who has this and I'd like to be able to show her how to scan photographs at high resolution to either .JPG or .TIF... she lives two states away from me and is not very tech savvy, so a video of how to scan various sized images would be great! You're welcome and when I receive a fax they just come through and print.
how do you get the fax number, o you call customer service and for the fax you have to have a landline correct?
Excellent information thank you
Just order one Thanks for the video
You're welcome and enjoy the new printer.
I have eco tank 4700 how can I scan multiple pages (around 300 pages) directly to a usb wirelessly. thanks
Very informative. thanks.
How to print a fax confirmation sheet every time I fax ? Thanks
Thank you and no I have never printed on transparency paper yet.
it works it works it work the fax test Gracia gracias gracias gracias., not the rest., is the first time I play with my printer for my condition ( trematodes atritis)
Question, can you use the fax over wifi without using the land line?
you video is great i have an epson wf 7610 and i cant getit to work like that via the ADF any tips
You might want to check the settings on your printer and you have to turn it on you pending on your model.
Great video. My question Would be: why would you ever use the plate to scan or copy when it’s so much easier to use the feeder?
Thanks and I think personal preference has something to do with it. Plus, if you're trying to scan at the highest quality you have to use the plate.
quality... exactly!
the bane of my existence is the feeder tray with the maximum resolution of 300dpi.... the minimum requirement for my job is 600dpi(ppi)
Thank you for this
Hi there for the faxing part my document should face up of face down? Thx again
When your faxing or scanning in the automatic feed slot, the words on your document should face up. Thanks for watching.
very good and I like it.
what do you think about BROTHER MFC-J4420DW comparing to this would be better for saving money?
hi thanks for the detailed review.
Excellent Video, thanks bro
Your welcome and thank you for watching.
Благодаря ви много за видеото! Много ясно обяснено. Много полезно!
/Thank you very much for the video! Very clearly explained. Really useful!/
Thank you again for watching I appreciate your time.
I wish you would have shown how to do "Double Sided" copying.
That is a very good suggestion. I don't know if you can do double sided copy, but I will do some research to find out how and then I'll let you know.
@@oxmanagain Thank you, I just thought I'd try UA-cam before calling Epson.
Thanks so much!!!
+John Bidwell no thank you for watching and taking the time to comment
