Thanks, learned a lot from you today. Unfortunately that android app no longer allows band selection on the free version, only on the paid version. I used the other windows app that you showed on a later video to do the same. Thanks again for your demos.
I bought this app for my B535-333 and it helped enormously. But due to my location and distance from the only tower I have line of sight to, I still get issues during peak time. In short 80% of the time I get LTE+ using Band 3 and 20. But then at some point it drops Band 3 which has worst metrics for RSRP RSSI RSRQ even though it usually has 4 times the speed. As this usually occurs during peak contention the result is woeful speeds. I have to manually uncheck Band 20 and then select Band 3 (say between 7pm and 10pm) Then I have to go back to HUACTRL and unselect Band 3 > select Band 20 > then re-select Band 3 and the router then usually engages LTE? again till the next highly contended period Tower is 7 miles away. I have direct line of sight with no obstruction (Can literally see it with telescope) 2 bands available for EE and Three (my preference) Band 3 and 20 I have tried multiple routers and have data sims for both EE and Three. I have Poynting z x LPDA and the XPOL 2 5G At 5am I get speeds in exess of 100Mbs which I think is incredible given the conditions! Between 7AM and 7PM it fluctuates between 15 and 40, which again I am most pleased with. But then in the evening, left unchecked it will drop to below 5mbs. I have looked at high end (expensive) 4g routers and I suspect these all do the same. I realise I could set it to Band 3 permanently but the difference between 10 and 15mbs is noticeable so every mbs is required. I have searched for any kind of solution such as priorising a Band or even better, a router that is able to base it's choice on speed and not those other metrics But I would love to know is why it loses LTE+? When it happens, I can manually select both Band 3 and 20 individually and both work..... I am in a much better situation that when I moved to this rural place, but feel I am so close to making it even better.
have you considered using external antennas ? because for such high distance the uplink power may be the problem. When you download some file the TCP IP protocol sends TCP ACK acknowledges in uplink for TCP downlink segments. These ACKs may get lost in the noise generated by other users in business hours. That is why using good antennas is important. Look for some router with sockets for external antennas
is there any app or program from the pc or something that lets me force change to an other bts antenna? I have 3 near me and my router is locking on the most far all have b20 i know their ids any help ?
Try this tool here : github.com/tpoechtrager/Huawei_Tool but it operates only from command line I have just checked this tool and it works great. I'll make a video tutorial about it in few weeks
hi, I tried the app but it did not connect at all. I purchased the pro version, also it does not connect. however my huawei router login on web page does not have a username displaed at all, just asks for password - the password works from my phone and pc via web gui but not via your app - the router is B535-232 model type - please advise, thanks
I'm an idiot. I'd only put the wrong IP address, but thought the free app had disappeared (which it appears to have done through Google play) so paid for the Pro one. Actually I don't mind as the app has been very useful. I then found I could reinstall it through one of my Android's menus. DOH! Nevermind, it is what it is.
yes, some of locked routers do support it. see my other videos showing command line tools for band locking ua-cam.com/video/2ak0AiNlF-A/v-deo.html it is always worth to check on your own
it doesn't work properly with my huawei router because the router always uses band 1 when selecting the bands, even though I've selected B1 and B20. What can I do? The router fixes only one band at a time
you did not write your router model number. Second thing is that your mobile operator may not have full set of bands running on your nearest cell tower that is why you can attach only to B1
this is lte cat 12 and should support up to 3 bands aggregation. One of bands is always master one. it can be b1. The only thing you can do here is disable one or two of bands
Mozesz tez w tle z cmd w windowsie puscic "ping -t 8.8.8.8" to cały czas będzie transmisja szła i ruter nie wypadnie z agregacji lte
Gdy wpisuję to IP i hasło, to w aplikacji wyskakuje błąd "Wrong user or pass".

Tell me if it possible
Yes you can, I will be recording new video about next awesome tool for Huawei routers soon.
