@@robertvermillion6816, It's never the same performance. Otherwise you'd see all the cameras positioned everywhere during the main demonstration.

What if she fkn FARTS man..
With ultra clear 4k monitors this trick would be much easier to do now, and more convincingly because no assistant would be needed and therefore no "trick" base. You could make the monitor look exactly like a blackboard, connect it to a hidden computer (which can be quite small nowadays) and display whatever the person wrote. You could even have the small tablet be tricked so that it sends the drawing directly to the computer itself and displayed on the monitor. It would be easy for the computer to convert the line drawing of the volunteer to look like chalk marks on the monitor too.
You could probably have a hidden robot arm to do it now. AI and robotics have advanced greatly since this was done 25 years ago.

Nowadays you can use a robot mechanism hidden into the frame which can write whatever your want.
You can control through a simple mobile app.
Some contestants in Got Talent's show used it.

How did magician know that the hearts should be added and raised the curtain the second time?
The assistant knows to only do part of the drawing. Say the volunteer picked 42, she'd just write 4, etc.

How did he know the picture wasn't done though, that there were hearts remaining?
I was wondering that, too. Maybe the assistant is instructed to only draw half the word or image the first time, then finish it the second time.
imagine if a volunteer wrote a long word like hippomonstrosesquippedaliophobia on the board
Chalkboard is small and I am sure that he asked for a small word.
I'd find it easier to believe that the assistant playing the part of an audience member wasn't in on it, if you couldn't see remnants of the exact same word and hearts on the large chalk board from previous rehearsal where she wrote the same thing.
The point is, the assistant doesn't HAVE to be in on it for the trick to work.

The end-board had me in hyseterics -- the video on the right had been abbreviated to "Masked Magician turns himself into a human..."
But how did the magician know that the girl added hearts on her board?

they probably planned it so the girl would only draw part of the drawing and then draw the rest of it the second time around

Probably had it planned that the assistant drawing would draw the whole thing in two parts. Hence he knew he had to do make the curtain raise twice.
Improvise. Draw only a portion of the image that the audience member drew.

not all shows are televised, if that was done in a theatre the girl in the large box wouldnt be able to see what to draw on a monitor
They would still use a camera, at the very least for the assistant, and possibly for a monitor so the audience could see better.

You should write the ones that has many hanzi's combined and more then 100 strokes xD there are very very crazy ones out there that cant be remembered that easily. In japanese one of the hardest is 鬱 which used in everyday writing and it literally means depression.

What if person from audience draw some complicated design, so much so that assistant girl couldn't able to replicate that on board ?

i can be tricky. for example if a person from audience chooses to do signature of his/her on board instead of writing a name /or word in capital. now it will be really difficult for a assistant girl to replicate exact signature of someone on to the board.. so this can be a tricky situation unless guided by magician to write only a word and too in a capital letter only because handwriting of every person is also different, and to replicate a signature is really difficult
