I 💖 granny squares!!
Me too, so fun!
I like how you chain one in between. I think it gives it a much tighter and neater look than the chain two I've been doing all along!
It does help to give it a neater look!
I love this granny square tutorial, Amanda. I bet this pattern would be wonderful for a dishcloth. Would you consider doing a video on a granny square dishcloth? Great tutorial, as always. :)
Thank you! I will add it to my list of tutorials! 😊
I had another video idea for you. I love making soap savers, and they are becoming more and more popular. I would love to see you make a few soap saver designs and do videos on them. I typically like doing them in the round, but I have also seen designs where you make a rectangle with whatever stity want and whip stitch it together. Again, thank you for all the hard work you put into your website and videos. I love seeing your creativity as you design new patterns for your viewers. You are awesome! :)
@@haleytyrrell9609 Thank you for being a fan of my designs. You've provided me with lots of ideas, so I can't wait to get started on them. :)
No problem. I'll keep giving you more ideas if I think of them. :)
@@haleytyrrell9609 sounds wonderful! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! That magic loop is EVERYTHING!! I have been crocheting for years and every time I make a granny square it seems to puff up in the middle. With this method, everything lays flat! I AM SO EXCITED! Starting a baby blanket today! Love all of your tutorials! They are so clear and I have used many of the stitches that you have demonstrated! Thank you again for sharing your mad skills!💗
I'm glad the magic loop helped you! I've been itching to make a granny square blanket myself. Might have to do so. Thanks for subscribing and for your kind words. They mean a lot to me :)
@@AmandaCrochets ❤ I have been sharing your link with my crochet friends and encouraging them to subscribe to your channel. I will send a pic of my baby blanket when I am done! 🙂
@@karenbirckhead3101 That's very kind of you! I appreciate it so much and hope they find my channel helpful as well. I can't wait to see your baby blanket :)
@@AmandaCrochets hi! I finished my baby blanket but I do not know how to post my pic in the comment box. Would you be able to tell me how to do that please?
@@karenbirckhead3101 You can't post photos on UA-cam. However you can tag me on instagram using #amandacrochets. Or you can email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com.
Is this suggested for a beginner? I feel I may want to try something a little easier.
You can always give it a try and see if it's something you can handle as a beginner. Everyone is different. I try and make my tutorials slow so beginners can follow along.
I love Granny Squares but they are so “holey”. Are they all like this??
You could try not chaining 1 in between each side and see if that works best for you. Or you could play around with different hook and yarns in order to get the look you want. Granny squares normally are pretty “holey” though.
Thank you Amanda.
Anytime!
