Shane has a really good point, there were a lot of aspects to this story that didn’t really tie in with each other. At first, it seemed like Jack might have been involved in something suspicious or maybe even criminal, with the box deliveries, the shady guy with the tattoos, the cars that needed to be dropped off, but then the story just winds into a paranormal one. If you’re gonna include both of those things in the story, make both be relevant to whatever is going on with Jack and MC. At the beginning of the story, I really thought that the twist of the story would be that MC would unknowingly cover up a murder or a crime scene in which Jack was involved, and that Jack only “hired” the main character for that purpose, which honestly would make for a pretty interesting twist.
A lot of these reddit stories do the same sort of thing. They almost seem like they're written "Round Robin" style where there's a cutoff and another person takes over without knowing what the first person was planning. It would explain the loose ends and seemingly pointless details.
i also thought this shady criminal seeming man, maybe it’s not his house? the rules are all like “make sure nobody sees or hears you” that sounded to me like it wasn’t his house and she wasn’t supposed to be there. if i saw a rule telling me to hide from the gardener i’d assume it wasn’t actually his gardener, cause it wasn’t his house! the ending could have been the real owners catching her or something closer to what you thought. but nope, weird ghost story instead.

Shane is a real one for taking a babysitting class tbh. It's always relevant to learn stuff like that even if you don't like doin it. It's just as important as learning how to change oil or do CPR, Ryan!
I remember reading this on nosleep when it was posted. had the same feeling of the story being really promising until the ending. nice to see it featured
My partner and I never changed our venmos to private, but we always put something random and silly, last time he sent me rent under "belly balloons" (he's been having fun with alliteration), so our feeds are a weird chaotic collection
I remember reading this several years ago when it first popped onto the internet. Listening to this and realizing the eerie familiarity but not having it fully set in until more than halfway through added some extra fear. I love how Ryan and Shane brought this to life! But yes I would love to know wtf happened
I personally really like stories like this. Nothing objectively scary is going on just a bunch of weird stuff. You constantly question why whats happening is happening. The moment when she is re reading the text of him saying he is out of town even though she had just saw him was when the scary part actually hit. Although there is a bit of confusion. Is it a doppelganger? What relationship does the man have with it? Does it have something to do with how he makes his money? Im not sure but the confusion doesnt make the story bad in my opinion.
The ending felt really rushed. Or rather, more like the cut it right as the climax was starting. The story doesn't feel finished. I was just getting invested and kind of creeped out, excited to see where it would lead, curious to see if my theories were right, and then bam! it's over.
That actually would've made more sense for the main character to willingly do all this stuff. Like of it were a friend she hadn't spoken to in a long time so she didn't know what might have been going on in that friend's life, but she still knew them okay enough not to question instructions or feel unsafe.
I thought it was gonna be something like he kidnapped a bunch of people and he wanted the doors locked so they couldnt get out 😭 And then when they had the weird list and supernatural stuff, i thought, if she had remembered everything on the list, the creature in jack's house would have transferred to her now she had done "the ritual" or something and she would have to do all the weird things to keep it contained in her home and keep her alive until she could trick someone else into having it
Yall may have talked about this already and I missed it, but who makes the lovely sketches that go along with this spoopy content? 👀 shout out to them!
On today’s episode of ‘Watcher Fashion Police’, Shane is giving Quirky but Supportive Husband of your favourite teacher and Ryan is giving Twitch Streamer who has an obnoxiously large property in California with terrible interiors.
Please look into a woman named Barbara being d. B. Cooper! Her daughter came out with a story about how she thought that Barbara, her parent, who was a trans woman, was d. B. cooper. Before Barbara transitioned she fit the picture of db Cooper and soon after the heist she was finally able to transition. Her daughter said there was plenty of evidence that she would have had the knowledge to perform the heist. It's a pretty convincing story and Barbara seems like she was a really fun person!! It's because not just the ending was ambiguous. The entire story was ambiguous, so the lack of an ending entirely just leaves the whole thing feeling like a waste of time.
@@JosephDavies story wasnt ambiguous at all lmao. classic rules story. ur given rules to follow. u dont follow them bad things happen.
Goddamnit can nobody write an actual ending!? Out of the 40 something episodes of this show maybe 10 stories have had satisfying endings
The authors are writing these stories on r/NoSleep and there is a rule that they can't really end properly as it's not supposed to look like an actual author wrote it, instead it's supposed to looked like someone is experiencing all the incidents and writing them down
there's 40 episodes of them reading creepypastas and providing milquetoast mockery? wow. this is the first I'd seen, thought it was a new post-couch sad direction.
@@nivision When the bait is suspect
@@BirdGuy852 don't know what that means but ok. went back and found the playlist and other than the last one they hadn't done them for a year, so I guess that's why I missed it as a series. I found the channel probably a little under a year ago, after liking BuzzFeed Unsolved back in the day.
@@prashantrathod7151no. there is no rule they "cant end it properly" plenty of stories end with the author/character dying. it has to do with the immersion rule. a lot of times r/nosleep stories leave it up to imagination because they want the option for a possible series. its hard to do that if the character dies off bc in nosleep the #1 rule is the immersion rule. everythings real even if its not. they arent an author posting a story. theyre a person talking abt whats happening to them. commenters and authors must pretend its all real. like roleplaying that its real. this is actually the #1 post of all time in r/nosleep
At Ryan's "are you scared?" At the end i out-loud responded "kinda yeah"
daddies? nah we're in our "yes chef" era.
LETS MF GOOOOO!!!!!!! Guys, please keep this series around longer than just 4-5 episodes.
Lol I f***ing LOVE this series!!!🔥🔥🔥
#SoAreYouScared👀🍿
Wish I had a sugar daddy to even consider it
The Marvin bit killed me. I'm actually laughing out loud in my house. 🤣
I’m convinced Jack has a grudge against Marvin.
Kinko's was bought by FedEx in 2004. As a FedEx office worker I can say....we do indeed get heckled by customers who want to come in. 🤦
I can't be the only one who read the title as "are you scared of THE sugar daddy" instead of your. I don't know why but switching that one word makes it so much funnier 🤣 😂
this is my first time watching an "are you scared" episode because i'm a scaredy cat but this is literally just shane and ryan banter and i love it 🤣
Shane is a real one for taking a babysitting class tbh. It's always relevant to learn stuff like that even if you don't like doin it. It's just as important as learning how to change oil or do CPR, Ryan!
I remember reading this on nosleep when it was posted. had the same feeling of the story being really promising until the ending. nice to see it featured
Steven’s hair looks so good and healthy ☺️
I think my brain did the blue error screen at that title for a hot minute y’all
Tbf at that first job I'd have assumed I'm being used as a drug courier or some shit and been out of there.
same
I'm sure it's been said 1000x before but MAN, do I love the illustrations in this series! 😍
My partner and I never changed our venmos to private, but we always put something random and silly, last time he sent me rent under "belly balloons" (he's been having fun with alliteration), so our feeds are a weird chaotic collection
“He’s been having fun with alliteration” PLEASE I love this 😂
Love the perfect “unsolved mysteries” tribute there. ❤
PLEASE THE WATCHER, DROP ANOTHER ARE YOU SCARED VIDEO AND MY LIFE IS YOURSSS!!!
I’m scared of not having a sugar daddy 😂
Yesss!!! So happy to see are you scared is back!!
my favorite show is finally back ‼️
shane taking a babysitting class is such a shane thing to do LMAO
Yeah, but they aren't uncommon like Ryan seems to think.
@@wayward.philosopherI’m not sure about other states, but it’s required in Illinois.
Am I scared of my sugar daddy? Is he paying me to be?
The ending felt really rushed. Or rather, more like the cut it right as the climax was starting. The story doesn't feel finished. I was just getting invested and kind of creeped out, excited to see where it would lead, curious to see if my theories were right, and then bam! it's over.
THE TITLE?!?!?
Edit: Not what I thought it would be. Im a sucker for a list story!
the tittle is wild lmfao!!!
Coulda just blocked him after getting the Venmo 😂
This story didn’t even need a sugar daddy. This could’ve been a random friend asking for a favor.
That actually would've made more sense for the main character to willingly do all this stuff. Like of it were a friend she hadn't spoken to in a long time so she didn't know what might have been going on in that friend's life, but she still knew them okay enough not to question instructions or feel unsafe.
@@la_arana_discoteca fr title could’ve been “Are you scared of house sitting?”
I thought it was gonna be something like he kidnapped a bunch of people and he wanted the doors locked so they couldnt get out 😭
And then when they had the weird list and supernatural stuff, i thought, if she had remembered everything on the list, the creature in jack's house would have transferred to her now she had done "the ritual" or something and she would have to do all the weird things to keep it contained in her home and keep her alive until she could trick someone else into having it
Yall may have talked about this already and I missed it, but who makes the lovely sketches that go along with this spoopy content? 👀 shout out to them!
Mollie's illustrations are 🔥
I'm always looking forward to Are you scared videos! I love the videos and the art style. Keep up the great work, guys ❤😊
are you scared? no. are you confused? so fucking much
I LITERALLY SCREAMED WHEN I SAW THISSS!!! Why am i the only one whos excited this series is back????
On today’s episode of ‘Watcher Fashion Police’, Shane is giving Quirky but Supportive Husband of your favourite teacher and Ryan is giving Twitch Streamer who has an obnoxiously large property in California with terrible interiors.
Holy crap the stories are back!
Let’s goo!! The fav series is back baby!! Thank you boys!🫶
I feel like Shane would love this story if he hasn't heard it yet
Reminded me of Billy from IT when he can’t write a good ending for any of his stories/movies but the rest is great.
I am like 1000% sure that another channel told the story some years ago back when creepy pasta was still a thing, anyone else?
Scared of sugar daddies? In this economy? 😂
After years of waiting, this is the episode that makes it into my feed 💀
19:50 nah he said no matter who they say they are which is WAY more ominous imo
