I have a really hard time stalling the hawg, I feel like a canary breathing on the wings is enough to keep it aloft lol but in all seriousness just don't yank the stick around too hard and it'll stay in the air
@@RaptorRising No problem, and I’m glad you’ve been sticking with it! I don’t make vid’s, but I know the effort it takes to create and edit one. Stay on the grind brother! 1K is just around the corner!
Yet another awesome video! Can't wait to jump into the Hornet myself tonight. Although I winced when you plain rolled onto the runway after the ATC call to "hold short". :P I started learning the A-10C II, but the bazillion different ways of doing any one thing are not helping.
Oh I did hold short, I edited out a lot of the taxing portion of the mission - actually I edited out a lot of the whole thing - its tricky to make a 1.5-2 hour mission under a 20 minute video
Well there are two ways to do it, and you have three radios (for now) to manage in the A-10C II. There's a VHF, UHF, and AM radio. You can manually tune the radios of each to the appropriate frequency as needed. Those frequencies can be found on your knee board (default key combo is right shift + K) and you can see the frequencies on there. The other way, which is easier if they set it up for you and slightly more complicated if they didn't, is to tune the channel on each radio to the respective channels (and therefore frequencies) listed on the kneeboard or briefing reference if it's there as well. It's easier to go back and forth on using channels, but if they're not setup during the mission creation, you have to tune the frequency you want, select the channel knob you want it on, and then save it. I hope this helps!
I think the reason your mav missed the Strella is you were out of the keyhole. I can't see it on your mav MFD, because you have the white UI on a light background. But on the TGP, the directional dot is very far from the boresight of the jet, so I don't see how the mav can be in the keyhole.
@@RaptorRising At 11:53, I can see the bore cross in the upper right corner of the mav MFD. As you level off at 11:59, I can't see it in the MFD, but that could be UA-cam compression. I can see the TGP focus dot in your TGP up near the compass rose, so your TGP looking at the Strella is 45 degrees off bore, which implies the maverick is outside the keyhole. If you still have a full quality video, you could probably check there. I watched a few of your videos in this series last night. It really made me want to go back and finish the campaign. I think I've done the first three or so missions.
Really entertaining video. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for uploading this.
Looking forward to see more A10 content.
Good mission, absolutely the cloud cover was thick, but at the low altitude was impressive, surprised you didn't stall out .

'Kevin' was a but excited wasnt he!
Nice Vid bro, CAS is always a good time! Getsum!!
Good stuff, glad to see you are close to 1K subs. Keep it up, brother!
Thanks man, glad you've stuck around! I appreciate your support so much

7:23 why did you cut away and show an external view JUST AS YOU WERE MAKING YOUR GUN RUN!?

@@RaptorRising I didn't expect the mission was that long. 😯Quite the feat to work through all the downtime and find the good bits of action, then! 👍
I can’t wait to build my PC to be able to play DCS
Yeah its a pretty amazing experience! Hope you can get into it soon!
Hey man nice video and I enjoyed it but I need help with the channels you know when it says Gunman 1-1 idk what to put on the radio stuff

Are you playing in VR and if so, how are you able to zoom in?
I am in VR. There are two binds you can set in the UI layer in the controls, one for toggle VR zoom and another for toggle VR spyglass zoom.
@@RaptorRising thanks. I’ll try it. I have the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, if you have that, what do you bind to it?
@@donrnels I use the caps lock and left shift + caps lock myself. Easy keys to find on the keyboard
@@RaptorRising thanks.
i see you using the CDU page on your right MFD. what are you doing on that page after startup ?
Do you mean how I got to different a different screen on the CDU?
@@RaptorRising i mean more like do you use cdu page for more than just startup ? 👍
Yes, I use it to view/edit waypoint information, airspeed in the aircraft in TAS or GS and just general other handy stuff.
Are you using VR?
Not for this video but I am using VR now.

It didn't appear to be that far off but I was in a rush to kill it so it's possible

@j4s0n it's really worth finishing up. It took me quite a while too but I really enjoyed it

Oh good God. Video games?
