Dulcineasdiarycontinued - He calls himself a fruit and vegetable man yet he could not name the types of mushrooms. For all I know what he told me about the Swiss Brown mushrooms growing into portabello mushrooms could have been incorrect. OK so he was right but he had to Google it. As for his lettuce knowledge ???
I really wanted a scallop morays but that was not happening today. So much better food then that awful lunch I had.
Some of the information he tells me I don't agree with such as the signage and needing a man holding a fish - The Fish Market Sign does not necessarily need an image of a man holding a fish.
He said he saw pelicans at the Fish Msrkets, when back in the 1970s. I have never seen pelicans around The Fish Markets only filthy seagulls who are stalking you for your food. The water around The Fish Markets is filthy hence my comment og whether the fis caught around the Wharf area is actually safe to eat.
It's a great view of the new state of the art fish market under construction in the background and the Anzac Bridge.
