Thank you for the help! Along with my son's girlfriend's dad on the phone and this video, it allowed me to change out the wheel bearing assembly on my 2000 Ford Excursion when we broke down on the side of the road today
My 2001 F350 dually had right hub replaced @ 251K and the left one @ 253K two years ago. The truck tows goose-necks and just turned over 280K. It's never been to the shop. Anything done to it has been done in my Dirt Driveway. A 3/8 sheet of plywood supported the six speed trans and transfer case last year when the clutch and carrier bearing was replaced. I got the truck used off eBay 16 years ago.
Nice job! Most of these look the same but some come with different size threads, so before you leave the store check that your lug nuts will fit it. Yes you'll have to pull a lug nut but it's better than finding out when it's all apart you can't put your wheels back on. Yep it happened to me, so when I did mine I had to remove the new studs on my new hub and change them out with the ones that were on my old Hub Assembly. Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up. You have to get it out to take the rest of the axle apart.

Did you make sure the snap ring is removed and all 4 nuts on the backside?

That's BS. How did the knuckle become new?
The knuckle was cleaned and painted. Not a new one. Just a good used one.
