That one clip with the guys winning by using all their buttons - that's the real vanilla dungeon experience. I have no idea why classic was unable to replicate it, but that's what it was like and why it was so much fun to be in a dungeon for an entire afternoon.
Its easy to understand why classic cannot replicate it

22:41 dude actually this rogue is so big brain holy. He gouges the mob, then at first I thought "why is he just standing there", but he's keeping to combo point up for a stun!
It's the little things like the unseen mobs in undercity that make classic cool for me. As easy it is to play now, the level of detail and character is top notch.
There was a lot of love for the Warcraft universe poured into WoW back then.
These days it's just about whatever makes the most money, even if it burns their world and lore to dust.
A shame, but I am glad for the opportunity to do it all over again.

17:18 its been 19 years of WoW and we have finally found something Asmon didn't know about
and the weirdest thing is that's it was the invis ghost in Lordaeron? like if you ask anyone about stuff in Lordaeron top 3 are: Undercity is under it, you can hear the Warcraft 3 cinematic of Arthas killing his farther in the background, and that there are invis ghost all over
and in HC wait for elevators to stop before running.
Never heard of them ghosts before

For those videos where you can tell what's going to happen as soon as the clip starts, I wonder if the player ever gets a gut feeling like "Wait... I've seen this before..."
Nah requires to much common sense and self awareness bro which most of humanity doesn’t even have called survival of the fittest for a reason .
I have no idea what is going on but i love watching Asmon react to the HC deaths in WoW. I would also love to see the times people actually get away from terrible situations. Kinda like a flip side to the deaths.

These are so entertaining, I played WoW in high school and I love Asmon describings whats going on and predicting situations, seeing someone free and passionate its calming me down
I just remember the Hammerfall quests as a paladin. Wow what a rush. When you had to go to the scarlet castle thing was super scary. I Many deaths there.
11:27 I was level 17 and playing super safe when some turd in the Barrens spawned adds on me with a quest obj. He let me take the heat while he finished his quest - I have never been so mad about griefing

@11:58 I guess counterspell doesn't exist. Or frost ward....or mana shield, or mana gem to replace the missing mana from mana shield. Maybe this death was inevitable anyways, but at least you stand a MUCH better chance if you use the spells that you have on your bars...

12:54 well doing hinterlands quest alone is already kinda dodgy if you outlevel the zone
i ran deadmines a few times, was geared out, got a 2h boe drop in the cemetery in duskwood, felt like i was doing great, then mor'ladim ran up behind me and i died. that was my first and only HC character. i was mad for two days.
Every time Asmon predicts something and goes “There he is…” I just know he’s so proud of himself
take it from a mage who just HC aoe grinded those sorrow hill undead mobs for 5 levels. When you kite them, they store up auto attacks *sometimes* and if theres 4 or 5 of them glitched, thats 20 auto's for 80-100 -- that damage is unlike anything you've experienced thus far in the game. Just reset on HC mode if the pull doesnt work out so good.
The staysafe clip reminds me of getting pulled over on the highway lmao

Hey Zack, just thought id let you know how to deal with your anxiety. If you get up in the morning and lay about, your mind can spiral so Ive found, any bit of exercise first thing helps. Even something as simple as getting up, stretching and jogging in place. Thanks for all the entertainment over the years, hope you see this advice and try it out. Its helped me.

How does that work in hardcore; if you die, character gone, but do you lose everything in your inventory too, or does it go somewhere for when you create a new character?
I don't play WOW, but just wondering.
when even asmongold didnt know you could die to ghosts in UC then this is a real knowledge gem.
makes me really scared to do hc, because if people playing this game for 20 years in and out do still not know every wicked way to die... how should i do it.
also there is a mage quest in UC to kill invisible mobs, you need to do arcane explosion and then 1-5 mobs come at you... if its 2+ you are dead. i only knew this because of a HC death compilation i luckily watched a few hours before i wanted to do that quest. well if you know it, there are ways how to do that quest easily, but if you dont know it, you will be on cold feet and 50/50 die. really scarry.

Honestly I could see how permadeath would kill the aspect of soloing, but damn, having to rerun a zone or instance because of some stupid shit… or because you simply fu*k up a spell. Damn.
