I feel like asmongold has a way of making even non-wow players enjoy watching him react to wow. I haven't played wow almost at all and I have no clue what's going on until he explains it but he makes it so fun

Truth. But you put him infront of a tv camera and it all goes to shit.
You should watch his dark souls 1 videos. The one that’s like 4 years ago. You’ve never seen a more stubborn/autistic asmon in your life. But when it comes to wow he is a genius and I rather watch the wow version of him cuz I can actually learn something instead of watching the crack head version. If you watch it you will try find the reasons why you even enjoy this guy. It makes it very hard to like him. But like I said this version is fine.

makes sense. cus iirc in the addon you enter your partners if you are duo/trio
But it would make dungeons riskier if you cant HS out.
what if? Blizzard disables Hearthstone in official HC servers. (I think this is a bad idea btw, but it would be fun to see alot of deaths in dungeons)
@@TheDwagonHD So many people would die, because they are stuck at some point. Imagine just having killed Emperor in BRD ... and then you have to fucking WALK all the way back to the entrance and then out of the Blackrock.
@@TheDwagonHD I would prefer to see the auto-teleport out at 60 seconds mechanic removed, so you have to either hearth out, walk out, or nothing. blizz would probably not like having all those instance servers running empty with just 1 player waiting for their hearth though, so they'd probably leave in the auto teleport out mechanic in.. but at least I hope they increase the timeout to 2-5 minutes so you can't cheese it so trivially..

16:35 Just a quick explanation... the problem here was not the line of sight but Magistrate Barthilas. He has an ability called "Crowd Pummel (Rank 3)", it gives a Knock Back and interrupts any spell being cast 75% of the time for 5 sec. The Paladin got the Knock Back and the interrupt and therefore he could not heal the tank.

We wanted to catch the boss before he ran away, I blinked in, pulled boss, 2nd pack chained pull and panic ensued. I blizzard trying to get some aggro but it was too late. The 200 bpm I had made me forget to use light of elune.

But he was level 60 right? when you get to max level you dont have to delete your character do you? At least thats what I read
No way that wasn't McConnell's fault.
He took healing aggro, didn't try to bring either mob back to Graycen, waited until he was like 1% to use Bear Form, then just stood there to die.
Graycen meanwhile still had Disarm, Target Dummy/bandage and sword/board.
McConnell roots one and keeps it out of the fight, tanks another in bear, focuses on keeping himself alive, and just lets Graycen handle the rest just like he was. Easy dub.
But he failed to commit either to fighting or fleeing, and that hesitance cost him his life.
Honestly, I think he just didn't like playing Druid.
Yep, deaths were totally Mcconnells fault. All he needed to do was run towards the fight so Graycen could get the mobs back off him. No chance he was gonna heal himself and Graycen while trying to run away. So one of them was guaranteed to die anyway. Graycen losing aggro was a fuckup but that shouldn't have killed them. Such a pathetic way to go out.
Him saying run pissed me off. Like running is guaranteed death for the Warr with 4 mobs hitting him in melee

TBH that Mcconnell death was pretty scummy, he just doesn't wanna do the right thing because of reasons, it's not that he's new to classic, he's just idiotic on purpose, no other way.
The problem with hardcore is, if you're new you don't get to learn from your mistakes very often, because if you die you have to start over. So you have to play carefully. But if you play normal you learn from a lot of deahts, like you're limits with pulling, AOE rotations, getaway plans etc.
But that also makes this very entertaining to watch :D

i think, since people can choose if they play normal or hardcore, just like you can in diablo, there is nothing wrong with this. new players can and should play normal. you wouldn't play pokemon nuzlocke on your first ever pokemon game, would you? ok, maybe, but you wouldn't learn how to ride a bike at the tour de france, would you? ok, a bit exaggerated, but you probably get my point.
I'm like new to the wow... I know lot of lore but not much about gameplay... Played only a bit of warrior class as blood elf until like lvl 20 or so... Is it better to play on hardcore or on normal?
If you're new, you should not play HC. Needless frustration.
It would be smarter to just play Dragonflight, now that it's good, to learn the basics in a fun and fast way.

21:15 this rule only relates to those who level up in duo/trio, hence if you're just making a group with random players for a dung you can keep your character if they die
I unironically believe that McConnell is actually a very bad Wow player. And he's been playing that game for a longer time then he attended school.

I've yet to see a death that wasn't deserved, until that bugged bridge, with the exception of griefs.
Imagine waiting an hour to get your party full and ready to go and someone just dies like that before you even started. 😴

It's not the Curse, the curse is probably "Tainted Mind" from a Cursed Mage which reduces Int by 10%
I'm not sure but I believe he got killed by the scarabs that the Crypt Fiend behind the hay cart summoned
one big indicator that he died from melee is that when he died he seems to get a "Martyrdom" proc which you get by being critted in melee or non-magic ranged attacks

you are totally right, on wowhead it says crypt fiend can summon scarabs on players that are not even in combat and their damage is bugged because, 8 scarabs hitting for 100 dmg very quickly
best thing about hc is revealing how absolutely awful some of these streamers are at the game

The Priest died because the area there is bugged, there are hunderds of little bugs at the same area and they attacked him all at once.
Almost all of these are from being in places you should never even be in the first place. Why are these clowns going into strat? Why are they in uldaman?
I know he wont see it but it looks to me like the shadow priest in the plaguelands might have died to the scarabs from the crypt fiend in the distance at 22:00 you can see him back there behind the trees doing its wavy attack animation where it is throwing crypt scarabs at him, and you can see the black smears of the attacking coming at him from between the wagons that are closer to him. They have an insane range on their attack just like the elite that roams that area and tunnel.
hardcore isnt about reaching max level, its about how long you can survive.... and reaching max level.
That first clip was a rollercoaster of emotions...
I don't understand how ppl can fail with Druid :) all of them Warstomp>Regrowth...... why??? Here is how you do it, Warstomp>Rejuve as its intant while running away in cat from.... That second you waste trying to cast Regrowth will kill you, Always! Such a stupid mistake from a player that is actually really really good at the game with his mage!
Actually just warstomp, and sprint. Natures grasp. You don't waste a gcd on rejuv. Just stomp and peaccccce out.

Why don't HC players just exclusively grind green mobs/quests in areas where they are fairly spaced out and never go inside caves, cramped spaces, or dungeons? Seems like the safest and easiest way to reach 60 without dying. Granted it's boring af, but if the entire goal of the HC challenge is to reach level 60 without dying, that's how you'd have the best chance of doing it.
Because it's about fun, not just winning. Zoomers can't quite understand, I know.

that's just the norm for mcconnell at this point. in a different clip he even straight up lied saying that he told the other guy to do something when, in fact, he actually told them to do the EXACT OPPOSITE of what he said he told them to do. The man is just incapable of performing under a bit of stress

And that's why McBad always joins Asmons raids to get free loot. He needs to be carried and he needs all the loot he can get to create the illusion that he knows how to play.

At 10:06 you can see the Crypt Scarabs walking from where he clicked on the boar and they just walk up and hit him. They look like tiny bugs

Mitchjones gains 1 braincell for every level he survives. He may actually make it to 60 next go
4:00 if you look at the mages portrait in the middle of the screen he has 1% mana. He couldnt blink or nova.

3rd clip, the feral druid. If he charged the spider + travelform he would prob have got away
The Mage in the beginning messed up. Keep ice block on until the elevator comes back to you, and get out of it just before it reaches you. If you fall through it, then hit blink before you land. It’ll reset your fall speed as act if you just fell from that spot you hit blink at
@@maomekat7969 he didn’t die twice. He lived on the first fall, but the 2nd one killed him
i mean in hindsight, sure, but probably her line of thinking was that she'd land then just get off the platform. Or maybe she did wait for it to come up but the elevator took so long that she might've ended her ice block to just fall a little and get off, and unfortunately the elevator just happened to go back up.
I wouldn't put that much blame on her for that.
I don’t even watch the actual video at this point. Asmon’s reacts and commentary make them 100% better.

the cryp walkers are bugged, many of them in that area will spam cast at you and absolutely nuke you.
doesn't always happen, but that's what happened in the clip.
idk if or when blizz will fix it, so be careful in that area

Asmon, this was absolutely McC’s fault 😂 If you have aggro, you run TO the tank, not away from him. He should have known better tbh,
Then it would be both of their faults. The tank shouldn't have let those mobs attack him in the first place.
Best case scenario, they share the blame. Worst case, it was 100 % the tanks fault.
@@casperryborg4869 the tank is going to lose aggro sometimes, the healers response shouldn't be whatever the hell that was. All he had to do was run the mobs back to the tank or not run at all while rooting one and healing himself. He picked the worst option, he had plenty of mana left and the mobs were almost dead.
@@zaatas Graycen's error was not getting the 2 mobs aggro back to him- IF he couldn't get both, then Mccon should root mob and/or rush toward Gray in picking up the other mob(s). Let's add a Rare invisble Gnoll to the scenario- it spawns at Mccon, so the solution is to have Gray pick up soon as he can melee and maintain aggro, because Tanks maintain aggro in MELEE and what surrounds the Tank for AOE effects
If Mcc was not confident in taking 5 mobs, he should be vocal in saying "We'd better not".
@@jacknapier2089 yeah he was slow in getting the aggro back, but he could have easily picked them up if mcdumdum didn't panic and flee in the wrong direction. As soon as he saw them heading in his direction he should have gave a heads up and repositioned. He had so many options, war stomp, straight healing, cc, bear form and plenty of mana.
If all it takes to wipe you as a healer is for two normal mobs hitting you, you shouldn't be healing. Like harder scenarios were ahead of them for sure.
It's the second time I see Xaryu close to death on his druid and the second time he doesn't use Nature's Grasp... It's pretty OP.

I never could understand why people think it's safer to run away from their tank when they get into trouble. The one person who can save them. Happens in dungeons all the time and I see death every time it happens. I live every time, because I run to my tank.

Why didn't Mitch put a mage portal up? They last for a minute and he could've used that as an oh shit button. Also, I don't think that was Graysen's fault. He told him to run to him when he said that the mobs were on him. He just ran away though.

I'm almost sure the dark priest got dispelled by someone else, i don't know if it's really possible but when he died we are seing some kind of light animation, it looks like someone else did that in my opinion. Or maybe that guy made a macro that cancel the cast he is doing, to be sure he is instantly use his dispell, it might probably be that too.
