I think the demon is the physical manifestation of grief and burnout. No matter how well everyone else is coping around her, the job was eating her alive. She wasn’t sleeping, was surviving on energy drinks, was dealing with serious debt and very overworked to the point her empathy was destroying her. She tried to tell her coworker and she didn’t really listen to her, and the fact she couldn’t leave her desk meant she was “stuck” at her job. During day shifts you don’t have much time to focus on grief and burnout due to forced distraction, but at night (especially after finding out the dog they were treating had passed, and how she was being blamed on the phone for the cost of the service for the other animal’s treatment when she had no control over those costs) all you have is time, and too much time leads to a lot of thinking and ruminating, and the end (the demon) she hit her tipping point. Sad
You’re lead actor is terrific. The dialogue was superb and she delivered it with feeling and humour… and in the right places 😂. Congratulations for making a fantastic short.
Theres a reason why they call it the Graveyard shift It messes people up My Boyfriends older Brother used to work at a Mental Hospital Riverview in Coquitlam He and his Partner used to go lock the units up in the Middle of the night and hear Loud Banging noises and Screams 😱 Riverview is located near the Pickton PIG Farm Where Robert Pickton used to take his Hooker Victims Part with them , Drug them , Hang them Upside-down on a Hook and Drain them out Then feed them to his Hungry Pigs who can eat most of the Bones... Also look up Who Killed Cindy James The Psych Nurse from Vancouver BC If you really want to get Scared this Halloween 🎃 😊
Pulled a 32 hour shift to get an aircraft weighed and balanced and ready for engine runs and last minute sign-offs. I ran into my trash cans in my driveway, another mechanic rolled his vehicle going home and a 3rd technician lost his life in a head-on into a power pole.
Wow what an amazing video I guess experiencing a burnout is a bad thing especially when you're overworked and stressed Screamfest you know you're the best 😁✌️❤️😮
Okay. That was really good. But also unfulling. I was totally immersed until the coworker just accepted the bloody cloth. So i guess it was all hallucinations?
It confused me too. But I think the coworker accepted the bloody blanket because she told her 'Someone dropped it off' & they likely see wacky things in Overnight shifts. But whether the demon was real....did it take the form of the man & his 'dog' to fool her? It is confusing.
I love everything about this except for the manifestation of the soulless ghoul. Just...idk with aa amazing as rhe acting was, it was a shame the monster or manifestation was so hokey! I give it 3/5 because we build up to this thing and the portrayal of the grief and anxiety and angst is just bleh
Yeah, that manifestation of the soulless ghoul. i hated when it told her "Why don't you care?" while handing her an empty blanket. The monster at the end was rad though.
Not quite understanding this one. Was the demon real? Did it take the form of the man who ran in there with the 'dog' & left a bloody blanket? So she assumes she is hallucinating but.....its actually real??
Booooo I say booo 👎. I can't relate to any part. Why did she wipe up the blood on the counter? Oh something physical I can show others I'll just wipe that up.
This may be the worst thimg on Screamfest ive ever seen; it ALMOST had multiple fifferent points, and then didnt, and lotetally had zero plot. Leprechaun? Psyvhological overload? PTSD? Anusive work. NOPE. Just the albona creatire from the wastewater lagoon, woth no relatiom at all to a 24-hour pet hospital or hallucinations. 24 thumbs down.

"More time with the animals and less time with the People"
So True...My Type of Gal
I was so delirious working overnights during Covid that I used to hallucinate seeing bed bound patients walking.
Oh so creepy
Theres a reason why they call it the Graveyard shift
It messes people up
My Boyfriends older Brother used to work at a Mental Hospital
Riverview in Coquitlam
He and his Partner used to go lock the units up in the Middle of the night and hear Loud Banging noises and Screams 😱
Riverview is located near the Pickton PIG Farm
Where Robert Pickton used to take his Hooker Victims
Part with them , Drug them , Hang them Upside-down on a Hook and Drain them out
Then feed them to his Hungry Pigs who can eat most of the Bones...
Also look up Who Killed Cindy James The Psych Nurse from Vancouver BC
If you really want to get Scared this Halloween 🎃 😊

That actress is superb. That practical effects guy is hilarious. If only it had a higher budget. And a plot. I mean like there is no plot whatsoever.
Excellent! 😱😱😱
Glad you enjoyed the film. Thanks for watching!
