Nokia 5800, 40 bucks, does everything I need. GG It's what I've always said, are they out of their freaking minds to ask 730$ for a PHONE?? When there are so many, much cheaper alternatives around? With the nexus 5 around, going above the 350$ threshold is effectively throwing money down the drain for NO REASON.
Some phones these days are such rip offs. *I'm looking at you apple* I cracked my iPhone and it said it was gonna cost $459 to get it fixed by apple. HELL NO. So I switched to Android, best decision i've made in my life.
It's bizarre to think of how many Moto Es you could buy for the price of an iPhone. Sure the iPhone is a better overall package but it's hard to argue it's five times better...
I know a guy that fixed his iPhone 5 screen for 15 bucks(not by apple). maybe u should look at a more local place or just do it yourself. If u ever go back to it
Sorry Austin, I like how you always fail to show Windows Phones in these videos which have the lowest prices on the market and still have the best specs out there. I have the Lumia 1520 which is full 1920x1080 6" screen, quad core, and only paid $150 for it. Also there also a lot of free Windows Phone on contract with similar specs. Especially with the 8.1 update these phones should not be forgotten.
Sure but paying $150 on contract is very different to paying $130 off contract. There's a several hundred dollar subsidy baked in when you get a phone on contract.
I too bought the 1520 in red. Because of the screen size and resolution. I have the ATT unlimited data and with the 1520 it's a match made in heaven netflix UA-cam are a joy watching and the camera is freaking amazing I couldn't believe the pictures it took. My iPhone 5 and 1520 are the phones I carry. I can't wait for Windows Phone OS has to offer in the future. Also I have yet to upgrade to 8.1. Still love it though.
*WHAT?* WAIT. $100 per month for a mobile plan? Did I miss here that? I pay £11.50 per month (*about $20*) and I get unlimited texts, unlimited calls to land lines / mobiles & unlimited data allowance. (4G LTE speeds although my S3 _only_ runs at 3G speeds) What on earth are the US providers giving you for the 4 times asking price? Ohh yeah, for £12.99 per year it's insured for loss, damage & theft. Any US viewers, please help me understanding the massive price.
uh at 1:50 you should realise that opening the app menu and going back to home screen speed is determined more by set animation speed than the phone's performance extremely low or fast animation speed can make a phone look choppy while too high and the phone can seem like its lagging when really its having no issue at all
Haha don't get me wrong, most everywhere else the G3 is a lot faster. But for general things like navigating the UI and multitasking the difference (or lack of) is pretty impressive.
+Troll4ever31 ._. you know what would be the best? being able to buy a nintendo phone, that plays nintendo games, that has a controller built into the phone.
Im exited about the iPhone 6 especially with the video MKBHD made with the sapphire glass, and i am personally a fan of iOS. But this seems pretty cool! Nice video Austin :)
I use Tracfone prepaid for my smartphone service. It's pay as you go and works well. It even ports your phone number from one phone to another within 2 days. It costs about $30 for 120 minutes (360 minutes, 360 texts, and 360 MB data) or you can buy data cards separately. My phone cost me $10 from Walmart.
I do like your view on this video, Austin. Another good way to go to be cheaper is to buy phones second hand, this is good unless you have to have a new one! Ive been using second hand iPhones for around 4 years now! Here in New Zealand you can get cheap plans for around $20 NZD a month too, which is enough for me, as long as I don't use too much data! Great video, as always!
Thank you for doing an unbiased review on end result rather than spec sheets, The Moto E and even the moto G is a great phone $200 off contract and the phone is awesome.
I switch to the Z4 from an iPhone 4 two months ago. This phone is a beast. Everything I want in a smartphone. I'll be getting carbon fiber skins from DBrand for it.
I would much rather have straight talk. I have 3GB of LTE, and unlimited 3G after that is used up, on AT&T's towers. Not to mention you can use T-Mobile towers as well if you so desire. Oh, and it's the same price as Simple Mobile.
Great video, but my minor complaint here is that there is no mention about a market segment existing for higher quality smartphones. For example, the camera quality on the Lokia Lumia 1520/1020 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. However, those devices are expensive to manufacture and phone companies need to charge the premium to recoup the cost of producing such a phone.
The US carriers literally rip you off. It's just the fact that most carriers are ran buy desperate rich guys who only want to make more money. We should boycott here in the US to bring the prices down. It's outrageous.
i mean, here in europe these services are much cheaper and everyone still refers to carrier business as a gold mine, including carriers themselves ... services like these should really just be declared as infrastructure and carriers would still make enough profit ...
Brian Kim in Austria (Europe) I signed up for a contract in October and got the Note 3 for 0 bucks and I only have to pay ~34 euros a month for unlimited calls, SMS and Data (HSPA+ 40Mbps)
Axecution I met a guy who lives in Bulgaria, and he told me that he makes about 60$ converted into USD. I'm not sure how it is there but according to him, that's still a shitload of the money that you have access to.
i understand what you have done here but what my family done was go to tmobile and switch to them from attel, they payed all the etfs and we started out with pretty decent phones and added jump,(jump is there program that allows you to upgrade as much as you like for only 10$ a month) and then a week later we upgraded at no cost to us and our bill for 4 lines is only 150 - 160 $, and tmobile has no overage costs, if you go over they simply cut your speed from 4g to 2g when using internet and apps, and music apps like pandora and i heart radio don't charge to your data, part of there set music free(which is free when you switch) and with jump you get added insurance for accidents, the only thing was that we dont have the best credit and we had to pay 200 down, but the bill was 100$ less than it was with attel, for you people that care about the phones we started out with 4 of the lg optimus l90's and then we upgraded to the htc one m8, lg g3, samsung galaxy s5 and the iphone 5s , so overall great deal and also if you have good credit than you don't have to pay a down payment :)
Specs really don't matter at all. Galaxy S5 should be one of the fastest on the market right now but its a fucking slow piece of shit... worst phone I've ever owned.
And also, stop putting retarded, ugly skins on your smartphones, samsung. They' slow the phone down SO much. Don't hire people from your "smart refrigerator" department to design your OS.
Specs do matter. If the GS5 ran stock Android, it would be one of that fastest on the market. The problem is the huge amounts of bloat and the heavy Android skin. Try something like a One M8 (I believe the exact same specs, maybe less ram) and you'll never lag or stutter doing anything. Honestly I don't understand why Samsung is the most popular Android smartphone manufacturer. They have lots of features, but poor aesthetics, slow responsiveness, and an unpolished OS with bloat. HTC or LG should be where Samsung is IMO.
Austin Evans Nexus 5 all the way! still quite an expensive Mobile but it keeps up with the more expensive models; it is also a good development tool if you, like me enjoy creating apps and games on android, and there are so many tutorial online that anyone could learn it; no doubt Austin has dabbled in software development himself.
Austin Evans I have one too but now it takes around 6 hours to fully charge and runs out of battery in 3 hours. I've tried all the ROMs and nothing works. help
In the UK we still have 'pay as you go' like simple mobile as opposed to contracts, both offer 4g. But 3G is still really lightning quick over here, i pay £12 on pay as you go which gets me totally unlimited data, unlimited texts and 250 minutes of call time. O2 and T-Mobile(EE over here) offer pay as you go but im on GiffGaff which runs on the O2 network. Its so strange how mobile phones and payments work over in the USA
Xiaomi Mi3 (16GB) costs $232 in India ..... and I don't think I need to mention what a BEAST Mi3 is!! (Hint: Moto G doesn't even exist in front of Mi3)
Raja Sims Xiaomi is awesome, but it doesn't have the recognition in the US. When it truly comes to the US it would be awesome. It's not quite that cheap though, in their store it is about $320.
Lol in Austria I pay only 15 € for 2000 Text messages, 2000 minutes calling and unlimited internet (decreased speed after 5 GB). I feel bad for Americans
What a brilliant video! Great comparisons and outlines so well why budget phones are now worth it. I really wish these options had been available 2 years ago when I bought my Galaxy S3.
This a great phone but actualy a pretty bad value when you compare to something like the ASUS ZENFONE 5. The asus Zenfone 5 is 20 dollars more (OFF-CONTRACT), BUT You get: A much better design, with a great feeling back, a 5 INCH 720p DISPLAY. a REALLY GOOD CAMERA that beats The Samsung Galaxy S5 in LOW Light performance. Its not stock android but Zen UI has really good software features, specially with the camera. ASUS also REgularly updates the phone which is really nice. You should really check out the ZenFone 5 its pretty awesome, It also uses an Intel Proccesor, which wont be "the best" for gaming (but does pretty decent) BUT ITs Really Good for application that are single threaded, like Facebook, Skype, Snapchat, and UA-cam stuff like that. I really reccomend the ASUS Zenfone 5 over this.
BATTERY life of Zenfone 5 is amazing, with the POwer Adjustments and optimizations Asus makes, and the phone never heated up on me. and beside look at the price of the zenfone 5, nothing can beat it.
Nice video. I think you're completely right- I paid way more than I should've had to a long time ago. Now that I know about how great these budget phones are, keeping my eyes off them has been impossible! Keep up the good work with your videos
Hi Austin :) I followed all your videos and you're one of my favourite youtubers. This one's really well done too. But I really don't like how you spread advertising throughout the video in the form of a little tutorial. I would really prefer the old section at the end of the video. I watched it sometimes but if I didn't feel like getting ad, I could easily skip it. But this is not possible here. I hope you can rethink the decision. Otherwise, keep up the good work, I support you! Austin Evans
yeah ive seen that the latest iphone 6 plus (supposed to be the best phone around) has a terrible cpu only 1.4 gz dual core and that's for a 5.5 inch phablet ans the xperia z ultra is 2.2-2.3 gz and the ipad mini with the best cpu still runs at 1.3 gz dual core so yeah apple is terrible and ocerpriced
Boeing Airbus even with those inferior numbers.. apple devices still manage to perform just as and even better than most top notch phones out there, power hungry processors arent everything. c'mon dude if you're gonna talk shit put some effort into it.
I am using as of today a Samsung Galaxy Prime Core. It is great for the buck. I got it on sale for 50 bucks but most carriers go between 130 and 200 bucks. Thanks for the video always keep coming back.
I use the Moto X on Republic Wireless, for which the phone costs 350$ (still pretty cheap as phones go), but they also support the Moto G, which is only 150$or so if you buy it from them. The service has tiers, with 5$ being the lowest option, but you can only use it on Wi-Fi, 10$ for unlimited cellular calls and texts, but no data, 25$ for unlimited talk, text, and 3G data, and 40$ for unlimited talk, text, and 4G data, which is even cheaper than Simple Mobile. The phones are a bit more expensive up front, but the service is cheaper. Of you're wondering, Republic uses Sprint for cellular. Also, be warned, it has a custom ROM for Wi-Fi calling, so updates typically are a month or so late compared to other Motorola phones.
I pay 70 a month on Verizon and I am happy. I have 4GB of data, unlimited talk and text so I can take full advantage of my HTC One m8. Good video, keep it up Austin!
I would suggest looking for the Motorola Atrix HD on eBay. I bought one that was mint condition for $128.00. What the Atrix HD has advantage over Moto E is the HD 4.5 inch screen, 1.5 Ghz dual core vs Moto E's 1.2Ghz dual core, 4G LTE on AT&T (get Straight Talk AT&T sim card & service for $45/month), an 8MP camera with flash, and a front-facing camera. The only advantage Moto E has is the software. For the Atrix HD, root it, unlock the bootloader, and install Cyanogenmod 11. It no longer has Cyanogenmod support, so the last stable release is 4.4 kitkat. Still not bad at all for about the same price of the Moto E.
I have AT&T Go phone and I',m wondering would this phone work with that? Like if I bought this phone could I just put my sim card into it and it would work?
I just got the Moto E from RepublicWireless for $99 and unlimited talk, text, and 3G data for $25/mo. It is on Sprint's network, but where I live it gets great coverage. I highly suggest you to check out Republic if you like to save money.
Alex Colledge I agree 100% even without the fact you're on a budget I will still recommend the moto g (2015) edition. If you just got a raise the moto x (2014) is a great phone as well, currently wait for the 2015 edition. Indeed Motorola Motorola Mobility makes amazing phones, but when people think of Moto they think of flip phones.
I'm planning to get a new phone after Christmas and the Moto E is a definite contender... My current choices are the Oppo Find 5 Mini, Huwawei G6, Kata M1, Moto G, LG L70 Dual and if I reach the budget, the Nexus 5...
I use Net10 here in Puerto Rico with an unlocked phone, and it uses AT&T's antennas. I pay $45 + taxes monthly and the plan includes 2.5 GB LTE, unlimited minutes, and unlimited texts, and it's off contract also. Since I switched, I regret nothing (:
I have an Elephone p6000 pro, and it is like $180 CDN, but I got it on sale for about $120. This phone runs android 5.1, has a flash, two sim card slots, expandable storage (only has a 16GB model) and is great for a budget phone.
I spent the last three contracts buying the top end smartphones and slowly realising they just weren't worth it and I didn't use them as much as I thought I would. After a few weeks the novelty of the bells and whistles wore off. I ended up moving from a £30 a month contract with a HTC One to £9 a month with a Moto G, keeping the same amount of minutes, texts and Internet. The only problem I had with the MotoG was the camera, when you put the phone in your pocket you can accidentally start the camera and the 'touch the screen to take a photo' meant I ended up having 600 images of inside of my pocket.
You can change animation times so comparing animations is very good idea for a comparison, I made my phone '' faster'' by going in the settings and changing animation speeds
It really blows my mind how expensive it is in US, in Sweden (where i live) i pay for a Samsung galaxy S5 with 3 gb data and unlimited call + text. It cost 58 dollars a month. Two years to pay of the phone and after that the price drops to 40. Still we have 4G almost everywere
I'm looking at a new phone and these are the options I am looking at Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S5, Iphone 5C or the Nexus 5 which one do you think I should get.
Nexus if you want good price/quality ratio and want to customize your OS, iPhone if you want great accessory support, like iOS and are willing to spend more for that.
I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on the Nokia Lumia 630, which, at this price point, appears to be the only real competitor to the Moto E, though I'd understand if it were neglected due to very low market share of WP in the US :/
I know it's probably because it's a freaking massive coverage space but you pay loads for service. I get a Sim only 1,200 minutes, unlimited texts and *unlimited data* for *£10* here in the uk
I would definitely switch! I am currently stuck with an HTC Desire C which is slow and dying and I live in canada so the moto E is nowhere to be found. Moto E still says coming soon on their canadian site which means probably october novemberish Heck if you want a moto G LTE you either have to get one locked to a carrier or buy an unlocked one for the absurd price of 320$ CAD on amazon
I just went on craigslist and bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 for 200 that seems like a bigger bang for your buck to me. I can swap batteries and have a upgrade memory slot that was very important to me. I wish more phones would allow that. The only reason I can think of them not doing it is so they can sell you another really expensive phone in 2 years. We all live in a disposable world but do we have to?
The lack of a front facing camera isn't the end of the world. I'm not a selfie addict. I used the front facer of my Nexus 5 (my first phone to have one) twice. Once with a distant relative and once with her dog. And no, I'm not uploading them to facebook or anything, I just keep memories in case something bad happens to someone.
I probably wouldn't use it as a primary, daily driver, device as I would probably be closer to a power user. However, the Moto E would make a great secondary device that might only get a few weeks uses a year or a first time or more basic smartphone user.
What's really sad is that my family has to stick to older phones, still touch screen, but not smartphones. Only reason is the area we live in. The only service is AT&T. Right now on 3G plan and I could go up to 4G if I got a smartphone. However AT&T's prices for the 4G stuff is crazy! So, my set up is having a tablet for mobile-internet things and a phone for just my unlimited call and text for 20 dollars a month. Would be a lot more on 4G sadly with the data plan and everything. Probably like 70 dollars a month. And in my area (not just where I live), the internet for AT&T is terrible!
Seriously, I own a moto g and its really fast for day to day tasks. I have even compared it with phones like note 2 and xperia z. It still overcomes them in terms of multitasking performance. And the best part is its water resistant and regularly gets updates like a nexus device.
You don't need to go quite that low either. There are plenty of high end rivaling phones that fit in that price range, if the Moto E is fast enough and has a nice enough screen then the Nexus 5 is going to surpass all expectations for not that much more. I understand why light smart phone users would prefer to spend less, but for a power user its worth the small extra for the n5.
It really blows my mind that a phone this cheap can be this good. Stock Android is a beautiful thing.
I actually rooted my Moto G the other day. These phones are great, and rooting them adds to the greatness!
GERMANY 7 - 1 BRAZIL!!!
Stock Android its not pfft ... HTC Android not the google shit the one I have in the uk
Matex600 Have you ever ran stock Android?
Nokia 5800, 40 bucks, does everything I need. GG
It's what I've always said, are they out of their freaking minds to ask 730$ for a PHONE?? When there are so many, much cheaper alternatives around? With the nexus 5 around, going above the 350$ threshold is effectively throwing money down the drain for NO REASON.

you have just sat through a 5 minute advertisement for simple mobile
Damn.

Advertising. I sense advertising...
Should have called it Moto E Review
Totally agree I didn't sense anything about the performance issues which other reviewers have noticed and is a BIG problem
Aditya kasture Moto E's actually a decent phone, to be honest. If your using it as "just a phone" instead of a multimedia device.
Yeah but you could get a better phone in the moto g for $50 more THAT YOU CAN USE AS A SMARTPHONE
Aditya kasture I'm not sure about that, as far as an unlocked gsm variant the moto e comes out cheaper in most countries.
Loving the videos. Keep up the good work Austin! :D
Thanks!

Austin Evans Have Windows apps gotten better yet? I'm fine with the price I payed for my Note 3.
You can't compare on contract price with a no contract price!!
The Lumia 1520 started at $1000 when it was released, but can now be found for as little as $472 on Amazon.
*WHAT?*
WAIT. $100 per month for a mobile plan?

Carriers in the US are weirdly setup. I used to pay $110 a month for 450 minutes, unlimited texting and 5GB of data on AT&T.
THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING. I play £12 for unlimited 4G and Texts and 200mins coz who calls these days. And in the USA hardly any1 had unlimited data.
Adeel Hussain (MrAdeelAH) I pay 10 euro for unlimited everything wtf are people paying 100 for? A new phone every month with it orrr?
Merica loves getting raped and lied to, it's cool.
Austin Evans Wow. That is so much Austin.
*Why* so much though? I really don't understand why you guys pay 4 / 5 more for less service.
How to save money...
1. Don't buy Apple
2. Don't buy Samsung
JoreX But... Theyre the same thing
+JoreX Get an LG G3. They're only like £260 now, compared with the Galaxy S5 which is nearly £400 from most places.
***** But the S6 is slower...

Good job replying to most people!
This is one of my favorite parts! After spending days working on a video it's nice to actually here what everyone thinks of it.
Austin Evans hear*
How does such a smart person mistake here for hear
Yes
JLeetle Because he's human..
Yeah guys stop paying so much! *types from £619 64gb iPhone 6s*

Yea stop paying too much and let's get shitty and laddy devices for ex samsung
You've probably answered this question millions of times, but what video editor do you use? I like the graphs that you made.
Thank you Austin, for bringing us a 5 minute long commercial in addition to the 5 second commercial before the start of the video.
You know what would be even better?
Being able to call with a 3ds, then there's no need to buy any smartphones.
Troll4ever31 ._. not everyone has a 3ds though.
Ross Lemon naah , that would be cool if you could call with it
+Troll4ever31 ._. you know what would be the best? being able to buy a nintendo phone, that plays nintendo games, that has a controller built into the phone.
+The Pyro Gamer Sounds like the Xperia Play.
The Wind Waker does not approve.
Here's a suggestion for a video! Do iOS vs Android vs Windows for phones. You should also talk about their features apps and prices!
The hate on that video would be massive haha
Austin Evans Haha i'll have my popcorn ready if so.
Why? Android would obviously win.
pruox im android fanboy but plz don't start the fight :D
pruox /r/androidmasterrace
YES! FINALLY! A PHONE I CAN AFFORD! After a few years.
I urge you to get a moto X!
I can easily resist the urge. I has no monies.
I got dah moto X!
I know you have it. But what relevance does that have?
I'm just that awesome ;)
Im exited about the iPhone 6 especially with the video MKBHD made with the sapphire glass, and i am personally a fan of iOS. But this seems pretty cool! Nice video Austin :)

LMAO xD
OMG 😂😂
There's a 3D Mark for cell phones? O.o
Absolutely!
Just got it. Thanks Austin :D
Hey Austin. I've been a subscriber forever. Could I get a hi?

Nah, I just got the Xperia Z2 and filming underwater at 4k is some crazy shit
I switch to the Z4 from an iPhone 4 two months ago. This phone is a beast. Everything I want in a smartphone. I'll be getting carbon fiber skins from DBrand for it.
gtafan1234567890 there is no such thing as a Sony Xperia Z4
gtafan1234567890 the z4 does not exist yet the z2 just came out recently
think he ment s4
Alec Walker oh yh forgot bout the s4
I would much rather have straight talk. I have 3GB of LTE, and unlimited 3G after that is used up, on AT&T's towers. Not to mention you can use T-Mobile towers as well if you so desire. Oh, and it's the same price as Simple Mobile.
That's what im running right now with my Note II and its the best so far the data is fast and the service where im at is great seeing as it's At&t.
yup i moved my S3 to straight talk its soo nice
I was trying to read the name of the song at 3:23 and the difference between 720p and 1080p was like night and day.

So Austin basically just reviewed SIMPLE Mobile and the Moto E in one video. You sly dog...
Must review ALL the things.
Austin Evans
I have both Moto E and Moto G. Both are fucking amazing! =) . Just saying you are a bit late for this review lol! But loving the videos man! =)
Yep started on this video a few weeks ago actually.
Austin Evans Nokia Lumia 630>Moto E

Axecution I met a guy who lives in Bulgaria, and he told me that he makes about 60$ converted into USD. I'm not sure how it is there but according to him, that's still a shitload of the money that you have access to.
You are my favorite reviewer!
Keep the vids coming man!
Cheers from Argentina!
i understand what you have done here but what my family done was go to tmobile and switch to them from attel, they payed all the etfs and we started out with pretty decent phones and added jump,(jump is there program that allows you to upgrade as much as you like for only 10$ a month) and then a week later we upgraded at no cost to us and our bill for 4 lines is only 150 - 160 $, and tmobile has no overage costs, if you go over they simply cut your speed from 4g to 2g when using internet and apps, and music apps like pandora and i heart radio don't charge to your data, part of there set music free(which is free when you switch) and with jump you get added insurance for accidents, the only thing was that we dont have the best credit and we had to pay 200 down, but the bill was 100$ less than it was with attel, for you people that care about the phones we started out with 4 of the lg optimus l90's and then we upgraded to the htc one m8, lg g3, samsung galaxy s5 and the iphone 5s , so overall great deal and also if you have good credit than you don't have to pay a down payment :)
Thomas Riddle Ofc they do matter. I was just making an exaggeration. Is that the right word?
If the S5 is the slowest phone ypu've ever owned, you clearly haven't owned an IPhone
bahaaldin hmeidan you've clearly never owned a phone, nor graduated elementary school
Is your smartphone too expensive? No got it for $1
Slim Zebra fucking idiot I own an iPhone 4s which cost $200
Oxeis 64gb of storage
Oxeis ok it $150
Jayson Anderson 150? Liar
i have a nexus 5 and just love it :P
You can't go wrong with the Nexus 5.
That phone pretty much proves this video wrong :P
Darren Persad hopefully android 5.0 will save us all as they are reporting 40 percent better battery life on Nexus 5
Austin Evans I have one too but now it takes around 6 hours to fully charge and runs out of battery in 3 hours. I've tried all the ROMs and nothing works. help
So, Motorola is in sync with the updates... That's good to know! I assume this is completely stock Android?
In the UK we still have 'pay as you go' like simple mobile as opposed to contracts, both offer 4g. But 3G is still really lightning quick over here, i pay £12 on pay as you go which gets me totally unlimited data, unlimited texts and 250 minutes of call time. O2 and T-Mobile(EE over here) offer pay as you go but im on GiffGaff which runs on the O2 network. Its so strange how mobile phones and payments work over in the USA
After a point i wasnt sure if he was talking about the phone or this simple mobile plan..
Lol 😂😂😂
Xiaomi Mi3 (16GB) costs $232 in India ..... and I don't think I need to mention what a BEAST Mi3 is!! (Hint: Moto G doesn't even exist in front of Mi3)
Achyut Borah Mi3's gonna rule now
Raja Sims Xiaomi is awesome, but it doesn't have the recognition in the US.
***** brand new games in hungary are about 18 € also I'm PC I don't pay much either way
Nicholas Mäki In India its 4 pounds for the same plan....
rajaram rasiappan thats pretty neat
Lol,in India its relatively very cheap compared to Europe and America.. Lol...feeling bad for Europeans And Americans.
***** i have 3 aswell
You make so good videos , you don't deserve dislikes . Really awesome videos! :D
Another sick video Austin! Been subscribed for a year now, and I keep coming back!
Watching this with moto E
This guys has good content but his voice and the way he talks is just so annoying...
In my country with Vodafone or T-Mobile the bill costs around 12$
I dont know why the fuck do americans pay so much
Because most carriers like to have their money, or want you to have no data at all
you know in your country your money is worth the left over shit after i wipe my ass compared to american money or anything for that matter.
+Mitchell Sanchez that was harsh for no reason
+Joshua Barrera but tre in everyway
+Mitchell Sanchez well idk what country he lives in
Got the moto e and $40 simple mobile plan and it's great so far! Thanks Austin for info.
What a brilliant video! Great comparisons and outlines so well why budget phones are now worth it.
I really wish these options had been available 2 years ago when I bought my Galaxy S3.
This a great phone but actualy a pretty bad value when you compare to something like the ASUS ZENFONE 5.
The asus Zenfone 5 is 20 dollars more (OFF-CONTRACT), BUT You get:
A much better design, with a great feeling back,
a 5 INCH 720p DISPLAY.
a REALLY GOOD CAMERA that beats The Samsung Galaxy S5 in LOW Light performance.
In Japan, Unlimited everything for 30 dollars (3000 Yen) Every month.
Well, depending on the carrier.
what, cellular? if so what?
Justin Minimo In Finland unlimited data (4g, 50mbps) is 25€ month but call and message cost but not much. Unlimited everything is 29,90€ month.
In Malaysia I pay only 18 usd for unlimited calls, texts, 10 gb of internet during weekdays and another 10 gb of internet during weekends
Moto-EEEEEEEE
3-GEEEEEEEEEE
Austin Evans
iPhone FTW. its the best phone ever.
you can bend it really well its really really easy to bend it.
and then throw it to apple
Who the fuck would do that to their own phone
Well, hmm.. fuck that shut. The new iPhone X glass doesn't break even if it's dropped from a height of 6 ft.
@@nuclearicecream6357 u do realize This was 4 years ago
Dislike by all the apple fanboys that eats anyhing apple makes no matter the prize
I like apple but I thought this review was good for low budgeted >.
Lumia 640 ^_^ Very happy.
+Ronbo Fett me too it basically blew my mind
+Ronbo Fett me 2 :D Just XL :D
awesome vid austin! loved it!
Nice video Austin keep up the good work!!
GERMANY 7 - 1 BRAZIL!!!
YEEEEEEE PARTY TIME!!
DEUTCHLAND!!
= Rape
still better than the iphone 6
True that !!!
No
I PHONES ARE OVERRATED!!!
yeah ive seen that the latest iphone 6 plus (supposed to be the best phone around) has a terrible cpu only 1.4 gz dual core and that's for a 5.5 inch phablet ans the xperia z ultra is 2.2-2.3 gz and the ipad mini with the best cpu still runs at 1.3 gz dual core so yeah apple is terrible and ocerpriced
Boeing Airbus even with those inferior numbers.. apple devices still manage to perform just as and even better than most top notch phones out there, power hungry processors arent everything. c'mon dude if you're gonna talk shit put some effort into it.
yes but the processors are still VERY bad
I just thought I phones had bad processors I just thought compared to other phones it was a bad processor and made worse by its size
Apple optimized their iOS for the hardwares. So they are good optimizer.
Okay the video was 480 with the Moto E now how was is stretched out and didn't have the black borders on the left and right sides?
I like the intro music. Great video as always!
I have AT&T Go phone and I',m wondering would this phone work with that? Like if I bought this phone could I just put my sim card into it and it would work?
Hey Austin what about the moto G that verison is selling off contract for 70$?
I just got the Moto E from RepublicWireless for $99 and unlimited talk, text, and 3G data for $25/mo. It is on Sprint's network, but where I live it gets great coverage. I highly suggest you to check out Republic if you like to save money.
Thanks Austin for this very practical and useful video. Especially for these days, this a very valuable test that you've done.
How is cutting the front camera a bit much? That's the one thing on my phone that I have never used.
I actually have a Moto e, and I am enjoying it. I just got it unlocked now I am looking for a good Canadian prepaid carrier!
Alex Colledge If I were you I would go with the moto g. It's faster and it's around 20 bucks more expensive.
Alex Colledge
Yes I would!
Alex Colledge
No problem my friend, if you need help with anything you may pm me
Alex Colledge
I would recommend it
I loved this video Austin, however think that you need to have your sound meter calibrated, seems way to high
I have a 4s and I'm a year away from upgrade, think this would be a good investment?
I'm looking at a new phone and these are the options I am looking at Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S5, Iphone 5C or the Nexus 5 which one do you think I should get.
Note 3 hands down
charlie robinson Why should I get the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Instead of any of the choices I mention in my comment on this video
check out flossy carter on youtube and he will tell you why
just my opinion
Nexus if you want good price/quality ratio and want to customize your OS, iPhone if you want great accessory support, like iOS and are willing to spend more for that.
I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on the Nokia Lumia 630, which, at this price point, appears to be the only real competitor to the Moto E, though I'd understand if it were neglected due to very low market share of WP in the US :/
Hey Austin, I was wondering, do you think the moto g is worth the extra money over the moto e
If you're still doing cheap phones, check out the HTC Desire 510. I had it for a little under a year and I can say IT IS BASICALLY INDESTRUCTIBLE.
Any plans on a 1+1 vid?
Not really. I'm just not that interested.
hey Austin
What's that?
I know it's probably because it's a freaking massive coverage space but you pay loads for service. I get a Sim only 1,200 minutes, unlimited texts and *unlimited data* for *£10* here in the uk
The lg g3 doesn't have a draw back it is an animation that you can switch of in the settings
How long do you think somebody could use this phone before needing to update/upgrade with a newer one?
And in my area (not just where I live), the internet for AT&T is terrible!
super video austin :) the only compromise with this phone is its high SAR values :(
Seriously, I own a moto g and its really fast for day to day tasks.
Because of you, I bought the Moto G some months ago and I am really happy with it :)
