- This ride has given me a lot of great memories and thrills through the years. I filmed this so long ago, must've been 2004 or 05. Still there and kickin' though of course. If you've never been to Six Flags Over Texas I strongly recommend it. I've got videos of Mr. Freeze, Batman, the old Texas Giant (RIP), and the Flashback so feel free to check those out as well.
To Six Flags Inc., the designers of these coasters, and my viewers, thank you for giving me over a million total youtube views. Gotta admit it gives me a slight nerdgasm when I think about it. Now hire me as head filmographer and youtube promoter of your coasters Six Flags before I finish college and have to go and get a damn career! Hey I can dream right...
Peace out!
i go here all the time and ride every ride and they rock.and to all of you who say these are like other rides you are wrong because this is the ORIGINAL Six Flags
This ride is the BEST!!! Especially the front, woohoo!!!!
This ride is worth the hour and a half wait, that first drop and into the tunnel scared the shit outta me but after that it was the best thing ever...
My friends pushed me in line and wouldn't let me get out, so I went on it and when I got off I was all "LET'S GO AGAIN!"
Now I'm a Roller Coaster freak and I love it!
It scared the shit out of me though....God...
:D
This is one of the best steel coasters I've been on and it absolutely smooth. Once you go through the midcourse brake run, look down and you can see all the hats that have fallen off from the first drop as the MCBR is right by the first drop.
I remember this ride. LOL. It stopped at 0:43. We were up there for about 20 min. until they got the coaster going again. What a fun day that was. =]
i rode this ride 10 times yesterday! it never gets old and it is really cool to ride it at night!
that's one of the best rides i've ever been one! that first drop is so intense!
I rode this around the time it was first up!! Absolutely fantastic ride. It is definitely the smoothest roller coaster I have ever been on.
The G force you get on this ride is amazing. I rode it for the first time in September. It was so worth the drive from San Antonio. The huge first drop is not even as scary as it looks. Honestly I think the Steel Eel at sea world has a more scary drop especially if you are sitting close to the very back. The drop may be 100 feet shorter but it will lift you out your seat.
That first drop is sick, the little tunnel at the bottom is as big as a quarter when you come over the hill, then AHHHHHHHHH and you're through the tunnel...haha
not necessarily...i used to be terrified of them but this was probably my 2nd or 3rd 'real' rollercaoster to ride...and i LOVE it...its my favorite ride
6 Flags Over Texas is part of my childhood :D
I basically hate rollercoasters and my cuz made me go on this... wow i love this ride. that was the best ride EVER!!!!
I totally agree! Front row at night is quite amazing
I love this ride.. I rode in 2nd Grade and I've gone on it ever since :) It's COOL!
I remember I rode this with my dad. It is awesome! and I rode it right after Texas Giant, which was too bumpy. I started blacking out on the turns! I recommend it though.
I'm going to Six Flags in August with my youth group, and we're all getting in line for this one first! Hahah.
This ride is so bomb. My brother and I must've gone on it at least 5 times that day
I know dude, it blew my mind the first time I went down it, and if you put your hands straight up it looks like they'll get cut off by the top of that tunnel entrance. Thanks for posting.
im going here in 3 days. with my choir.. cant wait to possibly ride this.. looks fun
geez...this ride is my favorite..other than the texas giant!!! im going there tommorrow for the fright fest!!! and i cant wait to ride the TITAN!!
This was my first roller coaster, and I rode right in the very front. After I got off, I felt like I could conquer the WORLD! haha xD I even rode three more times that day, and I went on Mr. Freeze twice, Batman, and the Flashback too. That was a great day for me. :)
hahaha I'm glad you've discovered how fun rollercoasters are!
my sister LOVES this ride its her favorite!!!in 2004 she didn't want to go on this ride, but in 2007 she wanted to go on this ride many many tmes.
I have ridden this ride many times. The only scary part is ascending to the top. It really frightens you when you are like about to reach the drop, your like, oh shit, get me off of this ride! Haha, then the questioning yourself, and the wishing starts.
this ride is AWESOME
I rode this with my aunt tee, this is our favorite ride now
i went on this rollercoaster a few years ago, it was by far the scariest one ive ever been on...i think..the superman and batman were pretty intense also. if u wish to conquer ur fear of rollercoasters this one should do the trick.
i rode that 2 times that day! it was soo awsome. mr.freeze flipped me out a bit but it was still fun!
Great POV.
We have a ride out here in CA VERY similar called Goliath. The only difference is instead of going into a helix at 0:30, ours goes into the mid course break run.
I've never ridden this before but I want to!! I chickened out last time!! But I'm older now and I'm gonna do it when we go with the band on Tuesday!!!
i lived in Florida for ten years and always went to universal islands of adventure but nver road a coster i moved to texas in 05 and in december of 09 this was my first coster it is an amazing ride
this was the first rollercoaster i ever rode and i loved it
I went to Six Flags a few days after the Titan opened and it was shut down because it had rained earlier that morning. But a friend and I walked by later in the day right when it opened back up and every person in sight sprinted to the ride lol. The 2nd cart that went got stuck at :02 for almost an hour, but I sat in that next cart till it started back up again :p
omg this has to be one of my fave rides at six flags!
I remember when that first opened. The dang ride always got stuck! lol it's so fun tho!
I rode this one the first thing in the morning when I got there with nothing in my stomach. Felt aweful! The first drop is sick. But it is fun, you know. I think overall, this is the wildest ride in Arlington, TX.
Half the schools in Texas are going there. I went there yesterday and it was awesome!!!
haha!!! awsome... i went on that 2 years ago!!! it was COOL!!!
Just went there today, weather forecast was shitty, no lines whatsoever, went on THIS ride 3 times in a row, and afterward, I felt like I had just done a line of some good coke!
There is a river rapids ride, and there was a boat in which a strap snapped, and caused the boat to tip over. One woman couldn't take off her seat belt in time and drowned.
hahaha no problem man...it's a blast though you'll love it
I freakwn love this ride its one of my favorites!
Ha!
I go there next weekend!
Im pumped to ride that agian.!
Titan and Superman are my favorite here:D!
Titan is an awesome ride
i went on that when i went to Texas ( i live in Melbourne Australia) and all i can say about that rollercoaster is.........
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was so scared after the ride that as soon as i got off i hugged the ground i didnt care what anyone else thought:)
Titan
Place: Six Flags Over Texas
Opening Date: March 5th 1994
haha I got to ride it about 5 times the other day and I started blacking out that last time. What a great experience
i could not feel my face after i rode this XD i love when it spirals down, pulling you down too :D
I rode this at night. Its fun as hell.
When I went to six flags over Texas, I saw this ride from the parking lot and I was all like "Man I gotta go on that!" But when I was in front of it I said "Sh*t Never mind!" Come on I was 12 when I went.
I rode this like 3 times in a row and like the last time I started blacking out.
Crazzzyyyy
this ride completely took away my fear of hights. no joke.lol
He hee I rode this twice yesterday and sat in the front seat both times its sooooooooooo fun!!!
lol i rode it twice yesterday too. i rode this one, Mr Freeze, the big wooden one and Superman twice. and all the other big ones once. i was there from open to close lol.
That was a way fun park
I love this ride, its my favorite from six flags arlington
Happened to me on the double helix too. I had some pretty adverse reactions though. I had to go to first aid afterwards, they just gave me ice for my neck and told me to go home and rest.
God I can't wait when I get there today. My band is taking us there.
It's almost the same with the exception that Titan is a little bit taller and has two flat spins leading up to the mid course brake run.
I lost my eyesight on it for 8 minutes. The helixes made me almsot snap my neck. But Its still a kick ass ride. But was a little scared if i was blind.
My dad and neighbor both blacked out for a minute when they rode it. Awesome ride, though! :D
I LOVED this ride. lol.
@inmaniak i live in that city thanks for stopping by come see the new stadium too :D
Six Flags Magic Mountain is the best Six Flags park in the world :)
1: By the Summer of 2011 SFMM is going to be crowned roller coaster capital once again!
2: SFMM has held numerous World Records for their Roller Coasters such as Tatsu, Viper, Superman Escape from Krypton, Riddlers Revenge, and Revolution
3: SFMM has the only fourth dimensional roller coaster in the World except for Japan's Eajanaika at Fuji-Q Highlands Theme Park.
Haha. Oh my gosh. That sucks. But at least you got some compensation. LOL.
This is one of my favorites, probably the best I've ever ridden is millenium force
I love this ride!
That's because Titan is almost EXACTLY like Goliath.
Goliath came first, but then they made Titan which has an extra helix just before the MCBR (Mid-Course Brake Run).
I have been to Six Flags Over Texas. I LIVE in Texas!
hell yeah Im going this weekend! looks like fun!!!
Titan makes Nitro look like a kitty ride. ^_^
this rollercoaster is so fucking awesome!
i absolutely love it!
one time six flags was pretty empty when we went, so we ended up riding that damn thing like 5 times!
:DDDDDDD
Gah I hate and love the first drop at the same time! I'm always flying out of my seat!! Freakin scared me to the death when I first got on it xD This was my first real big roller coaster too. :O
We are headed there this weekend!!! I've rode it but my 10 year old daughter hasn't yet!!
Cool video! I have taken still pictures while riding the Titan for my photography class final. They turned out pretty neat.
Back seat is better.
A lady fell out yesterday - too bad she didn't get to finish the ride. I hope she didn't damage the ride when she fell so people can ride ASAP.
I remembered seeing blurred lights (my vision went blurry) for afew seconds befor my whole body went numb and then I burst into laughing! But after i got off the gfoce effects really took is course.
If you know what it means to be "stapled" on a ride, it helps hold off the forces abit. Mostcoaster enthusiasts hate being stapled, me being one of them, i don't think it makes much of a difference but I know that it creates a simular effect to a "g-suit" worn by astronauts.
thank you for your nice comment!
Thanks man I know what you mean. Thanks for watching
sorry for the delayed response...most of the people operating the rides are like 16-18 years old. They dont care about cameras being taken on the ride. I've done this numerous times and not once have one of the employees gotten on to me.
@cherrylicioussss I don't think so. But the Shock wave, and the Mr.Freeze do. I really recommend you ride the Mr.Freeze, in the front row seat. It's like one of the best rides in six flags.
this reminds me of golitah in magic mountain, except for the helixes on this ride before the 1st block brake or something.
This looks like Goliath at six flags magic mountain. But I think this one has a shorter first drop. The one in magic mountain is super high and goes under the ground for a few seconds. Looks fun though.
I rode this ride the weekend it opened. I blackout every time but it's so worth it :P
You definitely should. If you liked Mr. Freeze you'd probably like this
i got on all the rides including the lil cars that go around for lil kids actually that 1 was the scariest
Thank you and thanks for commenting
I chose this ride for last. were i parked righht in front of it but was scared at first. then started off with a little warm ups: That rockect thingy that goes upside down, The mine rollercoasters. then started getting better: batman, superman, that screaming roy ride. Then hit the big stuff: Shockwave, texas giant, and finally Titan. now my heads hurts like hell.
@MrFatrabbit3 according wikipedia, Titan is almost identical to Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain, but Goliath is 10 ft (3.0 m) shorter and does not have a 540 degree helix before the mid-course brakes.
I went on it for the first time yesterday!
I was always afraid of the first drop, LOL its not even that scary! After the first drop I wasn't even screaming I was just laughing at how stupid I was to be afraid of the ride
i love this ride
omg i love six flags!!!
I miss six flags but titan was awesome !!!
i effin love the titan bro
I know!! I cant wait to go this summer. Hopefully I'll have a camcorder so I can film this with much better quality.
yea i was sitting in the middle but i loved it then i rode the texas giant and didnt scream once. It made my mom laugh
The first drop was surprisingly slow, and therefore not very thrilling. I blacked out on both the sharp circular turns towards the end. So it was more painful than fun, for me. Mr. Freeze is one of the best roller coasters out there though!
When I made this video I used a digital camera which is kinda bad because it doesn't record as many frames per second as a camcorder does. Hopefully next summer I can use a camcorder to really capture the speed and excitement of this ride
