Such a momentous milestone from the beautiful clean waters of Seattle (yes, it’s still raining) to the isthmus of Panama. Such an adventure. We transited in 2013. I’m jealous. The morning filled with so much anticipation. A bit different than the Ballard locks but yet familiar. Enjoy your Atlantic adventures.
OMG 😱 WOW ‼️ You guys did it 🎉🎉🎉 First time I've seen a boat got from the Pacific to the Atlantic. Usually everyone is going the other way. Looking forward to part 2. See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
Haha! That was definitely an unplanned hiatus due to computers breaking down and a wildly busy few weeks with visitors. But we’re back and have tons of great stuff coming your way!
Having been through the canal only twice (1980, 1996) first time west to east, the second time east to west, and having made the necessary transit arrangements, I was hoping for some information regarding any new requirements for my next planned passage, but these weren't covered in the video. You might look at the videos presented by the sailboat Athena (sail life). They cover most every detail that one could hope for if interested in a similar passage. All the best!
Oh hey 🙋♂ what a nice surprise to have you back. Yay! What made you decide to make your way to the Caribbean, and not sail Viā to the South Pacific and explore the Marquesas, the Tuamotus, and French Polynesia since you were already in the Pacific?
There are a few reasons but the biggest one is the dogs. Nearly all of the countries and islands out there are extremely difficult to bring dogs to or not permitted at all - plus we don’t think a 30 day passage would be very nice for them anyway. So we went the other way!
Just was in Panama, 2 months ago. We had Enough time that 6 of us toured and we loved Panama! It was cheap. Delicious! Friendly!
Missed you guys!!! Glad to see you’ve made it to the canal.

Finally, my week needs your videos. You guys are my people.

How many hours you spend crossing the canal??
Looking forward to another channel in the Caribbean.
