Thank You RobertA note on convergence between backup and DR (business continuity) would be an add on point... just to expand. Wishing you many many Happy Moments with eSmiles
Hi there i wonder if you can go through more detials on how to pull up reports ,email of logs , and also anything that that would be used to submit incase of an IT Backup Audit by an independent auditors.
Hi Robert, Just a quick questions regarding "Install Azure Backup Server v2" 1. The connection between the On-Premise backup Store & Azure backup repository..... is this connection encrypted so that data transmitted over is safe ? or 2. Do you need to have a VPN tunnel (or gateway) between your on-premise infrastructure & Azure backup repository? Cheers Ian
Yes, all transfers to an Azure backup vault are fully encrypted end to end as well as at rest. See - docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/backup/backup-introduction-to-azure-backup
Hey Robert. You have installed the software on Windows server and you have scheduled a backup (can be taken backup for the particular files - on premises). This is for Windows. How about in Linux? What is the process to be followed?
Prabhakara Sastry yes I regularly run Azure backup for files on Windows servers as scheduled jobs. Linux backup is supported via azure backup for applications and site recovery I believe

Great !... thank you
how can we set incremental/differencial/ full backup by using mars agent
It only does incremental effectively. Constant full backups would take too long to transfer.
incremental is what Microsoft Recommended. It takes more time to do a full backup.
