Hey Tom have you decided if you are making more Swedish/Scandinavian history? Such as the colonies. I would love to see a video of The Second Northern War (Little Northern War). :)

[4:37] I would quibble on the "nothing." A13 abolished slavery, but also granted Congress new legislative power to enforce the amendment--i.e., the authors of the amendment clearly had it mind that its own language was not self-executing, nor did they apparently hold out much hope about what the courts would do without supplemental legislation.

Tom you are doing a wonderful job trying to make this interesting and fun for them but I know you are limited by the bounds of the state test guidelines. This is the problem with state history tests. Memorization does not equal learning. I wish the AP classes would be more concept-based. I teach college level history and I don't make my students memorize anything. I really think they are the better for it. I've had plenty of AP students in my classes that don't remember a lot of what they learned.

You play the piano too!? Also, what's going on anyway? Is this a special lecture?

    • @tomrichey

+branden burks The piano is there because we filmed this series in a multipurpose room at a local church. These EOC (end of course test) Review videos were filmed at live review sessions. I have several more segments that I have yet to edit and release.

Tom Richey Oh. Well I'm looking forward to it. I wish I'd studied history now & political science in college now. I find it so fascinating. It's an easy way to predict what'll happen next.
