Yes, I found that as well although I haven't worn it many times to get my thoughts finalized. I shall review Wood Symphony soon though.
@@ACSmellsGood I find that Wood Symphony lacks the rum note and to my nose is somehow lighter with not much iris going on...to my nose at least

one of my all time favourites by Jacques has to be ysl opium pour homme. both the edt and edp. got 4 bottles of the vintage edt stashed away, along with 3 bottles of the edp. 😁
Opium is a hall of frame fragrance both the mens and womans. I need to review Opium on my channel :)

The overripe fruit wouldn’t be Castoreum, which is a leathery scent that lasts and lasts. More likely a “tropical” fruit note used. I’ve gotten that overripe smell sometimes when I’ve used Tropicfruit (a Givaudan product). The fact that it goes away after an hour makes me believe it’s a more volatile fruit material
Castorium can give off the overripe smell depending on the associated notes. I know people mostly associate Civet with a urine like smell but I have a 1 ml semi solid liquid of castorium and if i smell it from a distance which is advised it gives off this overripe fruity smell with amazing warmth but its a very complex and strong note.
Best way to test and train your nose is to dilute it in alcohol and train your nose on a tiny drop from a blotter and then you start to get this floral fruity sour and complex beguiling scent.

Great review again buddy! I got a sample of Opus VI for my mom as we enjoy amber scents...u recommended it in an old Diwali video I think...boy every time she wore it the trail she left just left everyone dazed.
I really wanted to get a bottle for myself but as you correctly said the price point is astronomical for the peasantry.
Anyway, that incense, amber and sandalwood note was of the highest quality...I could almost touch it.

AC, I love Turkish coffee with cardamon and I've been looking for a scent that replicates that smell. Any suggestions??

I have one fragrance that has the note of Cardamom and Coffee and I have reviewed it a while back its called HdP Rare Fidelis, that might be worth sampling.
@@ACSmellsGoodFedelis is def on the radar...almost got a tester but sold out too quickly. As u said in the vid...too many supply chain issues.
@@halwamonster yeah, availability is an issue with Fidelis. BTW try Killian Intoxicated as well, I really have a massive soft spot for that one, and I have reviewed it, Its hardcore celebrity stuff, you feel like an A lister wearing it.

It would be very nice if you would test the reformulated version of this perfume, I really like perfumes with iris and I would like to hear what the difference is, whether it is destroyed, because you say that it has too strong a performance considering that Iris is a perfume, before I buy it and is it worth taking at all.
