I purchased a bottle of Colonia Essenza after watching your review of it, and it's a fantastic, classy fragrance that I'll wear to most more formal occasions, thanks to the perennially hot weather here. The rose, citrus, and neroli combination is a knockout.

Xerjoff Naxos for summer nights and 40 knots for summer days. I have 40 noeuds (Monaco edition) which is the original 40 knots mixed with rose and sandalwood.

I really appreciate that you think like a consumer of perfume just as much as a connoisseur...it make you one of the few relatable reviewers. You are right, it can be a moot point. I got 1725, Quercia, Essanza and Legasy based on your recs few yrs ago and absolutely loving it. Al Wissam Day and Colonise on my list.
Colonise has such a great price point for a niche, its really accessible.

I feel that Colognise is the best buy for peole who like bitten green white florals with high quality ingredients and Al Wissam day is one of those gems that always stay under the radar but people who get it rave about it, like me. Hope you also like the these two as well.

Lately im really enjoying Fleur D'Oranger 27 and Bergamote 22, hate the price but love the blend and quality
I see, yeah the raw materials aren't cheap for high quality citruses i m afraid.
Got my 1725 today, arrived at my office.
The scent is Royal, as you described. It does not project like crazy, therefore it is suitable for office environment. Gives me that Fougere type of fragrance with some soapy drive at the opening. Overall very satisfied. Managed to pick it up for 80$, so happy with it.
Very happy to hear that. 1725 is really royal kind of fragrance and the best bit is that you can wear it 3 seasons out of 4 its that versatile.

Got to try that Lancome one, I have Jasmins Marzipane from that line also like to wear it on summer really high quaiity, one that I can recommend you to try is Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia It is a Floral feminine but on me it becomes woodier fresh, really amazing beast mode freshie for me.
OK, I will look for a sample, I really like the smell of both Tuberose and Gardenia.

My best recommendations for summer niche are the Strangers Parfumerie scents like Salted Green Mango, Aroon Sawat, Oliver.

Do extrait de parfums are safe to use as chemicals or fixatives can be in high concentrations and therefore more risks!
Its a good question. I would have thought yes as all the chemical compounds are certified for human consumption, and as and when they are discovered to be unfit or potentially hazardous they are withdrawn or asked to be modified like Oakmoss, but that doesn't mean that something created a few years ago is still not going to give you issues if in case you are allergic to something.
It is an area where you can not be 100% sure and that's why I really liked the question, it made me think.
