I would suggest a double reaction; the music video and then the live. They put in a long hot day in the desert to make the video. It didn't go as planned with their tent but turned out better. After it was done everything was covered in sand.
That Guitar Dany is playing on this song is a Gibson Explorer, Last Year when The Warning were Touring the US With Halestorm, in one Concert in Irving Texas The Warning were Playing their Set and After one song Dany removed her Guitar and Her Guitar Tech would take the Guitar and Hand Dany Another Guitar but in this Concert Dany's Guitar Tech took her Guitar But Never gave her Another One so Dany is Standing there on Stage with no Guitar then all of a Sudden the Audience starts Cheering because Lzzy Hale of Halestorm Come out on Stage gets down on one Knee and hands Dany this Brand New Gibson Explorer Guitar it was an Awesome site to see. That's pretty much what happened. UGH was the working title but when they finally finished it they couldn't think of anything better to call it, and since they had been calling it that pretty much all along...
I just discovered The Warning in December, saw them LIVE in Florida in May!! The only problem was only 6 songs because it was a festival but .....Went to the meet and greet also, they were such quiet polite little sweethearts, that must just flip a switch and turn into beasts on stage!! I feel so proud of them because I have three daughters pretty much the same age. Cannot get enough
They played classical piano recitals when they were about 5 years old. There are videos of their recitals and a couple of practice sessions at home. Music and performing ARE their DNA. They are doing exactly what they were meant to do even though no one else in their family are musicians. The thing is they have never referred to their talent or of themselves as prodigies. They always talk about practice, hard work, dedication, and sacrifice and support of their parents and team. FYI: Prior to signing with Jason Flom CEO of Lava/Republic Records, their father, Luis, said, "He has to see us live." A few short weeks later Jason saw their second sold out performance at The Mercury Lounge in NYC in December 2019. He met with them the next day and 7 months later, June 2020 they were signed with Lava/Republic Records. This was during the pandemic and Jason had already signed all of the artists for 2020 and closed his budget, but he wanted them on his roster and made an exception in signing them. It only took seeing them once and not knowing who they were to sign them. And Jason Flom has been around the music industry for decades.
Actually Devon convinced her boss to see The Warning on day 2. And as per various sources, now ratified by Lalo in a recent interview, Rudy & Luis made sure Devon, who was already interested in the girls, was there on the 1st night at Mercury Lounge. The Warning team & its network is unbelievable.
This one just bangs hard. Another of the open road, top down, wind in your hair, foot flat on the floor driving songs (then it doesn't matter if the dog farts or not).
The vast majority of TW fans agree that this power-trio is exponentially better performing live and in the extensive catalog of their own works (in whose creation, composition and arrangements all 3 of them are involved) there's not a bad song and It's really difficult to choose the order of their songs in a "Top-Ten" because most of their creations have all the attributes to be part of this list. Hey AJ and Vicki! I think the closest to Lincoln, NE they have played would be, KC, Denver, St Louis, Chicago, or Minneapolis, all far from you. But, it is well worth an overnight trip to see them headlining! I can tell you that watching them live is like watching birds fly or fish swim, it's what they are meant to do! They make all of it look so effortless, yet they knock you over with a WALL of sound! I have been lucky enough to see them play UGH live twice (it's in my top 5 TW songs) and it is blistering! The Queen of the Murder Scene played live is an experience! I hope day they will tour when one of their sets will be QOTMS in it's entirety !!
This is one of the most heavy songs in their catalogue and one where you hear the greatness of The Warning. You have it all. The drums of Pau, the base of Ale and the magnificent solo of Dany. This is a banger and will work perfectly when they start playing stadium gigs. The only song i am really missing in the Metropolitan gig is XXI´st Century blood, i bet it would have been a banger too. I like your reaction as always.
As they were writing their second album, the concept album Queen of the Murder Scene, this song was giving them absolute fits to write. While the writing process on this song did lead to two of the other songs on the album they just struggled to get this one across the finish line. They considered just scrapping it, but their dad kept encouraging them to see it through. So every time they sat down to work on it they started with a collective "ugh" which became the working title of the song. When it came time to record the album they couldn't think of a more appropriate title for the song, so Ugh stuck. It is still a favorite of theirs to play live even though it doesn't make it on to the set list very often anymore.
This song has grown on me I always liked it but this performance really shows what a great song it is. It's heavy AF especially Ale's bassline and Pau's incredible drums. Dany is such a dynamic front woman her voice here was flawless and her guitar (lzzy gift) sounds so much better than other performances I've seen. As many no doubt have mentioned, this was off the _Queen of the Murder Scene_ , which is a concept album. This particular tune follows the first part, as the… protagonist, sort of.. descends into madness. You kind of need to hear the whole thing in order to understand the story line. But the reason it's called "Ugh" was because they had a terribly hard time composing and finalizing the tune - but their parents (particularly their father) encouraged them to finish and record it. There's really nothing better than having parents who believe in you, and support you in your endeavors. They may have _hated_ doing this tune, but in the end it all worked out, and sounds absolutely fantastic. It also slots quite neatly into the whole album, and helps explain the mindset of the main character as she falls apart. For all the work and "ugh" moments producing it, the tune "pays for itself" several times over.
After another couple of song reactions, maybe you guys should take a look at one of the documentaries. The Tidal Rising one, or the Mayday in the making series. You'll get know a bit more about them, and how its just not their amazing talent, but their hardwork dedication and humbleness that brought to them this far.

CDMX is the Spanish abbreviation for "Mexico City"... so yeah, this concert was at the "Metropolitan Theater in Mexico City, MX"... a lot of non-Spanish speakers call it "Teatro" like that's a short name... we also see/do this with "Liceo" which means "high school" where they did a concert before they went to Berklee Music College in Boston back in 2015... i'm not sure if "Lunario", also in CDMX, is the same way, though... This is a great song but you have to listen to the full concept album and know the story for context . Yes alot of people suggested dust to dust also but again the song by itself with no context ,its just another rock song .. Queen of the murder scene is the greatest concept album ever made so your missing out just playing one random song at a time . Playing them in order as the lyrics and music tell the story is the way to go and then you will see the true meaning to dust to dust when you get to the last song on the album, THE END, it all comes together. I suggest doing the full queen of the murder scene album and react to the songs and chapters and follow the story and then the lyrics will make sence and experience the songs as they were intended.

It's a concept album that tells a story (albeit the lyrics prove to be riddles to most new reactors) of a young woman who falls in love with a young man from afar, goes after him, does the unthinkable to him, then goes insane. You'd like. I prefer the entire concert, but it has tracks from thier first album XXI Century Blood that you may have not heard before, so you could get the playlist and react to each track separately. Watching them live is a treat you won’t forget but try not to be overwhelmed by Pau on drums. She IS mesmerizing but as a band they are all fantastic.
