It's subtle, Ronny, yet it is nice that you always shake hands with your guest at the end of your interview as a thank you gesture. Keep this vids rolling.
Good stuff Ronny i helped turbo mate Maverick (td42) i did the dumpipe all in was about 3 grand then maybe another $700 for me to to do the 4inch snorkel and airbox. So he was right on the money.
In Europe the Ford Maverick was a rebadeged Nissan Terrano ii ... I had a Terrano and even if the independent front suspension was a weak point the rest of the car including the unbustable engine were surprisingly good off road. I had a couple of MQ Partols and they were probably my favourite ever car...
650k's out of a 120L tank is horrible. My td42t lwb gets over 800k's out of the standard 95L tank easy. could push it to 1000 if i drove nicely but i love the noise it makes over 15psi
It would be good to do a video of ways to keep the weight of your vehicle down. With all the mods on the market today its easy to pack on a heap of weight and packing light is often forgotten. I know it will vary depending on peoples priorities but some general tips and ways to save space/ reduce weight would be good. Things you've found that you really don't need and don't use that can be left behind or alternatives.
Great vid, Ronnie! Really good indepth look at a solid rig. Would appreciate a review of a kitted out LN106 double cab ute, for all us newbie 4x4 enthusiasts in NZ and Aus getting started in the scene with a classic and reliable platform and on a bit of a budget. Thanks in advance.
I wonder if anyone uses Mitsubishi Pajero SWB in australia? it's pretty good heavy duty car though. If there is please Ronny Dahl can you find one and review it. cheers
awesome.. take your time, i hope you would review cool one before my car get out of garage for some well consumed parts need to be replaced. I own Pajero SWB 3.8 for 4 years 230k happiest millage of my life on it, this time am going to work on every inch on it so i need some ideas to steal xD. Greets from Oman
could you do a video on what spare parts might be necessary to take when going on trips and things to watch out for that could cause avoidable damage to a 4x4? also loving the channel keep it going mate !
Never stopped you in the past Q and A mate, did the Mrs forget to pack the Esky 😋 wouldn't be the first time my Mrs has sabotaged me. Going to be an interesting winter mate, lets see what the weather holds, i hope we don't get the floods again, put an end to a lot of planned trips in 2016. Cheers Moose
Hi ronny i know this is proberly a silly question but i understand small 4 wheel drives in australia are pretty have a reasonably good following perhaps you could check out some nissan xtrails. suzuki rhino/ginny and some of the smaller vehicles that peaple have modified
XJ's are reasonably common even here in rural Victoria but generally they are pretty close to stock... the LHD to RHD conversion radiator configuration causes some issues as the transmission cooler is on the hot side of the radiator, most mod begin with the cooling system.
Hmm 650 k's to a 120 l tank = over 18 l per 100, is way more than my td42 tdi gu ute uses 14-15l per 100 tare 2.7ton running 33 mtz, so does the 35's make his rig drink or is it bad tune, probably bth my guess
He should put the 4 bolts back in the rear door where the spare wheel used to bolt on so water does'nt get in the door, and it does i know this personally
Pardon my ignorance. What's all the popping while he is on trail? Springs? I'm coming from a drifting/grip scene Recently new to 4x4 and trailing. Thanks
Some or most suspension setups make clicking, creaking, popping or other noises due to the flexing & weight shifting around. I have Parabolics and they are the noisiest but far I have found.
Hey there mate. Is there any 78-79 Ford Bronco that we can enjoy to watch. I like your channel and find your off road passion very inspiring. Blessings.
Beastly Man seriously? Fairer comparison would be a Bronco or Blazer, both of which, this will leave behind in the muddy/sandy/rocky (basically any) .i believe You seem to think that these are “little” vehicles. Which they most definitely are not 😜👌🏼
@@Crashryding that sounds like the chip on your shoulder speaking. Its not a suzuki samarai for sure. But its not big. And its not leaving a similarly well setup/modded bronco. Blazer isn't a good comparison unless its with the 4 dr GQ patrol.
This is awesome. So interesting to see an aussie version of a bronco. The Ford Maverick in the USA is a crappy old want-to-be muscle car that was under powered.
gullf1sk I know it's a patrol, but this is what was offered in the same segment as the bronco for the aussie market instead of offering either the bronco or bronco 2 from the USA. That's what makes it interesting. They chose to rebadge a nissan instead of using their own models.
Doesn't look anything like the 1973 Ford Maverick that I had. It was a 2we car. Two door sedan with a 5.0 litre V8 with a 3 speed manual trans. That's what we got here in America.
It's subtle, Ronny, yet it is nice that you always shake hands with your guest at the end of your interview as a thank you gesture. Keep this vids rolling.
This is my mates car this guy must of sold it to him can guarantee is a rig and a half 😍
Its funny how pretty much everyone has said their winch is for others not themselves 😅😅😅
I picked up a 1992 Ford Maverick LWB with a DTS turbo kit. Love it to bits goes anywhere
Jayden O'loughlin looking at getting one have you had any problems yet
Good stuff Ronny i helped turbo mate Maverick (td42) i did the dumpipe all in was about 3 grand then maybe another $700 for me to to do the 4inch snorkel and airbox. So he was right on the money.
gq is an icon looks classic and just amazing truck with a legendary td42
I love the clean look. Didn't go crazy with LEDs
What an absolute rig

My shorty gets 33L per 100... And she's got a 50L tank, don't complain 😂
I'd get 650 no matter how I drove my td42t shorty from the 95l tank, lol
some people have hills where they live believe it or not

a very good topic and one I will cover.
Haha such a typical shorty owner! Love it mate, wish I had met Ronny before you so he could've reviewed mine!
PS: fuel mileage is pretty average must be that roof top tent. Mine does 700km's to around 90 litres
My TD42 wagon weighs 2.8T and gets the same mileage as you on 22psi!
awesome build. Love the water tank great idea 👌
Can u please do a review on a Mitsubishi mq triton cheers👍
Great vid like always, still waiting for a 200 review 👍
This is an American view you all have access to way cool 4WDs than we do! But This looks like a Bronco II and a Defender 90 had a baby and I want one!
TY ACORD You can import one , they're just a Patrol Y60 with a rebadge.
I wonder if anyone uses Mitsubishi Pajero SWB in australia? it's pretty good heavy duty car though. If there is please Ronny Dahl can you find one and review it. cheers
+Azzan Zadjali there are plenty around just got to find one with mods done to it
awesome.. take your time, i hope you would review cool one before my car get out of garage for some well consumed parts need to be replaced. Azzan Zadjali fancy meeting another Omani here!
who would miss australia offroad experience !
It's funny how names change in different countries. Here in Europe, the Ford Maverick was/is the Nissan Terrano 2.
could you do a video on what spare parts might be necessary to take when going on trips and things to watch out for that could cause avoidable damage to a 4x4? also loving the channel keep it going mate !
love to see a surf/4runner ronny!
Hey Ronny, any chance you could do a modified episode of a 1998 2.8 turbo diesel Nissan Patrol????
1990 to 2001 single cab hilux modified
Nice little ride Ronny, whats the go, no beer for the Q and A. lol, slacking bruz. 😋 Cheers Moose.
haha yeah I only drink in company
Never stopped you in the past Q and A mate, did the Mrs forget to pack the Esky 😋 wouldn't be the first time my Mrs has sabotaged me. Great video
That is a seriously nice gq patrol
Hi ronny i know this is proberly a silly question but i understand small 4 wheel drives in australia are pretty have a reasonably good following perhaps you could check out some nissan xtrails. suzuki rhino/ginny and some of the smaller vehicles that peaple have modified
Is this the guy that has the Fj cruiser too?
TheOutdoorGamer no I did think the same thing but the other guy was could Andrew
TheOutdoorGamer haha... that's what I was thinking..Andrew Tran's brother.
Excellent vehicle.Just restored one,a Safari tho
Ronny, great videos mate. it would be good to see a prado 120 series. Cheers mate
Would be nice to see a review of a Rang Rover 03 upwards! Would like to see if the engine and gearbox mods are necessary and so on..

I want Fox shockies even more now.

Awesome set up
Ronny can you please do a video saying the pros and cons steel vs alloy tray on single cab utes.. cheers keep up the good videos!
Awesome, I've always wanted to see SWB in your channle
Hey Ronny would you be able to do a review of a 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ. Cheers Luke
That thing is a ticking time bomb with that ARB rear locker. That should be the first thing he changes in that car, get rid of it!
Any luck on finding a Cherokee?
what type of cherokee? the SJ (pic in my icon) or the XJ?
oh yeah. it would be awesome when i get mine done up. 1982 Jeep Cherokee SJ with 6.2 chev v8 diesel to auto t727..... cant wait to get to it
XJ's are reasonably common even here in rural Victoria but generally they are pretty close to stock... the LHD to RHD conversion radiator configuration causes some issues as the transmission cooler is on the hot side of the radiator, most mod begin with the cooling system.
So 4wd super centre is slow to delivery?
Hi ronny, Could you please do a modified episode on a 2004 or earlier single cab Lux. I would really appreciate it. Cheers
There's no finding out what it is , it's a Nissan Patrol and that's it besides the Ford badges maybe 1 or 2 different bits
Do you have a link to the custom canvas people? Cheers!
Ronny, I'm not sure if they exist outside of North America, but could you review some sort of full-sized pickup, like an F-Series or a Silverado?
We certainly do have them here! There are some impressive F trucks getting around WA
Hi mate where did u get the paint job done
going with the 2 inch 35 do you need to cut anything
these look sick
do these exist in the united states? i cant find any
Hmm 650 k's to a 120 l tank = over 18 l per 100, is way more than my td42 tdi gu ute uses 14-15l per 100 tare 2.7ton running 33 mtz, so does the 35's make his rig drink or is it bad tune, probably bth my guess
is this the fj cruiser guy??
He should put the 4 bolts back in the rear door where the spare wheel used to bolt on so water does'nt get in the door, and it does i know this personally
How about a 40 series landcruiser ute?
at this stage I have a shoot lined up later in the year
Hey Ronny could you please do an episode of Modified EP of a Daihatsu Rocky or Feroza please??? cheers mate
+98Ben • Resident • Gooats I'll put it on the list of must do should I happen to find one.
Clever water tank
you have to make a video with one nissan terrano 1 or nissan terrano 2
Pardon my ignorance. What's all the popping while he is on trail?
Springs?
I'm coming from a drifting/grip scene
Recently new to 4x4 and trailing. Thanks
Some or most suspension setups make clicking, creaking, popping or other noises due to the flexing & weight shifting around. I have Parabolics and they are the noisiest but far I have found.
Appreciate the reply! Now I know what that will be when I'm on the trail with my Tacoma.
Thanks!
Should I go for 2.8 turbo diesel motor or 4.2 ??
would be great to see a mod episode on a Mitsubishi Triton 2.5l TD mn/ml
Everyone go look at the new Ford Bronco and tell us your thoughts on its designs and if it's cooler than the maverick or not
Great video Ronny. I was just wondering if you happened to have any of the diesel consumption statistics on this vehicle (I.e. L / 100) ?
TD42 usually gets from 12-15L/100km
How about a Land Rover 101 forward control ?
Make some videos on the navaras d22 zd30 engines
Hey there mate. Is there any 78-79 Ford Bronco that we can enjoy to watch. I like your channel and find your off road passion very inspiring. Blessings.
We dont really have Broncos over here in aust unless someone has imported it
You need to do a series on the Suburban!!! Please!!
Markov Sergeyovich I don't think they are sold in Australia.
no such thing in aus
Nice rig
Hey. Tell me, from which car seats at 20:15?

I love this Car..
lol princess, too scared to get a few scratches on his rock sliders :)
ronny hi please do a prado 150 or cruiser 200
cool rig! if I can compare it to anything he in the united States is a Suzuki samurai.
Beastly Man seriously? Fairer comparison would be a Bronco or Blazer, both of which, this will leave behind in the muddy/sandy/rocky (basically any) .i believe You seem to think that these are “little” vehicles. Which they most definitely are not 😜👌🏼

Awesome channel and vids Ronny!
Any luck too get a Toyota Fortuner / 4Runner on the mods episodes?
+Wessel Pretorius if I find one I'll do it😉
You can use mine...only thing is...I'm in South Africa! :-)
any one know the brand of the spare wheel cover/bag? Can't quite catch what they're saying! :(
No beer? He did seem stiff.
What’s the web page for the maverick
should do another 3ltr patrol
anyone know any spray on bed liners?
Anyone know what wheels/rims he was running?
Is this the bronco ii from Australia?
Nope, not even related. It's a rebadged GQ/Y60 patrol short wheel base. Ford swapped a ute for Nissans Patrol.
Please do a Prado 90
manuel castro I second that!
Ronny could you do a modified video on a hdj79r Toyota landcruiser thanks love the videos btw
100% yes just got to find one
Ronny Dahl thanks good luck with the search 👍🏽
Fuck I miss my shorty
Gearbox and transfer breathe separately.
could you do a older hilux. 1993 please??
1998 at 1:42
Can you do a courier or a bravo please
Please do Daihatsu Rocky !
This is awesome. So interesting to see an aussie version of a bronco. The Ford Maverick in the USA is a crappy old want-to-be muscle car that was under powered.
The American maverick is ugly but came with a 302. It's a good engine.
Not an aussie version of anything really, as this is really a Nissan Patrol Y60
Very few had the smog-choked 302, most had the thriftpower inline 6
gullf1sk I know it's a patrol, but this is what was offered in the same segment as the bronco for the aussie market instead of offering either the bronco or bronco 2 from the USA. That's what makes it interesting. They chose to rebadge a nissan instead of using their own models.
Mint🤤
Please do a ln106 hilux
Ronny do a PJ ford ranger please!!
My mate has a swb maverick but his is a bucket haha
can you do more land rovers...
there is 1 possibly even 2 coming
awesome.
4x4 Supercenter... 4 weeks Shipping minimum >.< plan ahead kids!

Never needed a winch my ass looking at recovery points spent half its life on a snachstrap
Nissan patrol y60
That rear bumper looks like a kaymar
+datsun510wanted an early version perhaps?
Y60, ты ли это?
This is nissan patrol y60
80 series landcruiser
I can't take this guy seriously until he puts some real shoes on. lol I will still take the vehicle seriously though.
Doesn't look anything like the 1973 Ford Maverick that I had. It was a 2we car. Two door sedan with a 5.0 litre V8 with a 3 speed manual trans. That's what we got here in America.
