My mom passed 4 years ago my dad Feb 23 this year thay were born in cape breton. God's land i love it there
I'm a Canadian from the west coast and I was shocked to hear about this tragedy. I thank you for dedicating this to the Nova Scotians who lost their lives to this senseless tragedy. I also play the pipes, even though my background is not Scottish.
America stands with you Nova Scotia
Thank you, from a Nova Scotian. Your kindness is not forgotten.
God bless Canada 🇨🇦 from Newcastle England
Oh, Canada! I hope you regain your independence. Much love from your southern cousin. ❤️
From a Nova Scotian of strong Scottish heritage thank you. I'm late but never too late to say thank you for this. This was my grandfathers favourite song and ultimately his burial song... We will never forget.
Goodmoring sweetheart nice 👍 every day I play this song god bless U. ☘️🇮🇪🍀🇮🇪☘️🌹
I'm in love with the way you play. I've never heard bagpipe music performed your way: so confident, authentic, romantic and deeply emotional. What's more, I've basically heard several bagpipes playing the same melody, but your performances embrace several melody variations played simultaniously and well harmonized. This is outstanding!
This one is heartbreaking 💔…… big fan from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Never fails to bring a tear to the eye...and 10 lameasses who gaves this a thumbs down can sit on cactus and rotate.
R.I.P to the ones who lost their lives
Thank you mam
So beautifully piped, and so profound. How unbelievably sad that so many lives were so pointlessly and needlessly shortened. Thank you.
Celtic,by the grace of god!
God Bless You Always
Your fingring...very clear and fast ... beautiful play everyone grace..so wonderful
I've always wanted to play the bagpipes and this is the number one song I want to play!!!!!!!!
Me too 🎶
Check out udemy, there are courses on there. Also I think that the Dark Isle Piper teaches over skype. It is never too late to learn the pipes and you will never regret it.

That’s it. I’m in love. Beutuful, and I’ve been a musician for more than 50 years. This is true beauty.
I love bagpipe Amazing Grace
What a beautiful composition!
To all those we lost in war. Freedom comes at a great cost. To the families of those grieved from loss.
From the heart of a veteran. Thank you for your sacrifice.
REMEMBER OUR FALLEN...
A salute to this great Lady from Pakistan.
Thank you!
Thank You from the Clan Mackay. Semper Fi. Highlanders.
My grandmother ( on my moms side so her fathers mother) love’s amazing Grace, even had a bagpiper play it at her funeral, RIP Lois Farmer Kime November 1st, 1929 - November 28th, 2021, I and the rest of your family miss you dearly, I still cry for her. She died after a doctor gave her the wrong dose of her medicine and died in the back of a EMS.
Edit: we have a picture of her on our fridge and I’m playing this for her with tears still in my eyes. And she was staring to get Alzheimers ( not really bad) and I think the lord called her home cause he didn’t want her to suffer. Also she did still remember all of us so that should tell you how bad she had Alzheimer’s ( so not to terribly but she would forget to eat). And a word of advice; spend time with the people you love especially grandparents cause one day they will depart this world and you’ll miss your chance to be with them, I still saw her when we had thanksgiving together with my moms side of the family.
Thank you God bless you
You are greath nice song relaxen me 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
My mother is Irish..now deseased.....learning the step dance n funeral procession was a great accomplishment.....wish I could play bagpipe!
My friend was killed that night, he was from Truro and his brother picked him up to go visit his dad in Portipique for the night, Corrie heard a single gunshot and him and his brother looked out and seen big flames shooting into the sky, he told his brother and father he would be right back and to call the fire department. Corrie walked towards the fire, not knowing that the deranged gunman was lurking not far away. We assume that corrie seen the fake police car and of course assumed it was an officer, the deranged gunman shot Corrie execution style, and then a few more into his chest right there on the sidewalk.
A little while later when Corrie didn’t answer, his brother and father assumed his phone went dead or lost service, they decided to go look for Corrie, the dad stopped at the end of the driveway and turned around and went back inside the home, Corries brother flashed his light ahead and walked up onto his brother shot to death. Just as he was about to call 911 he noticed the gun man coming back, flashed his light and then corries brother ran for his life up a driveway and into the woods. The gunman looked all around for him to, he was very lucky. After 4 hours in the woods, the police and swat were able to go in the woods and get him out and to safety.
My heart breaks for all the families of the victims, their friends and their colleagues. This has rocked us all to the core. We’re shaken up and completely devastated. The officer that was killed was just 5 mins from my house. The gunman then went to my friends neighbours home in shubie and killed her neighbour, a denturist named Gina. This is way to close to home. So tragic, so senseless and absolutely heartbreaking. I send my heartfelt thoughts, prayers and condolences to all of the victims loved ones and to us all in Nova Scotia. 🥀💔 🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🇨🇦 #NovaScotiaStrong #TogetherWeStand
Then we lose 3 more Nova Scotians when their navy helicopter goes down along with 3 other Canadians. 😭🥀💔🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
Can not wait for this year to be over. 2020 has been the worst.
I watched an interview with his brother.....I felt so horrible.....that poor man will be traumatized for life....after seeing his brother dead and then the immense fear one couldn’t even comprehend of laying there in the wood while the gunman is sweeping his light around looking for you.....a terrible day
I am so sorry for you loss and hope 2021 is much better for you. Love and Hugs from Ontario.
Breaks my heart. So awful 😞 May God bless those left behind and fill the poor soul's with the mighty Grace of God, in Jesus name I ask. 🇬🇧
Wonderful thank you again ms piper for sharing your video and history God bless you always Paul p England xx lol ❤❤😘🌹🌹🙏🙏
The "Pipes" can convey many things. Among which are celebration, joy, or pride in one's heritage. But the mournful tune of "Amazing Grace"; brings to full display the sadness of lives cut short all too soon.
This year on Anzac day I layed down flowers at a memorial in full Australian Navy Cadet formal gear with my divisional officer, The piper began to play this song and I instantly begun to cry.
Abeautiful song for such a sad time. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing, can but say love and prayers...
Superb. Aids the grieving process and reflection. The pipe organ really compliments the Bb pipes.
mactcampbell I agree... I love the organ bagpipe combo too. My friend Matthew Maulding is such a talented musician!
@@DarkIsleBagpiper Do you play the battle of the Somme?
mactcampbell I do! It’s an amazing tune. I haven’t posted a video of it yet.. but I will soon.
One can appreciate the time that was spent on this project producing a respectful and beautiful message of hope in a time of lost and loneliness. My Nana, MacDonald of Clanranald and many other family members were born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Thank you.
My nanny is a MacDonald from Cape Breton! 🥰
OMGOSH this is amazing! Goosebumps. Watery eyes. Very emotional. Thank you for this and for thinking of others. Shows you are not selfish.
Thank you...❤
Thanks. Very touching
I love the way you switched the notes. I've never heard it been played like that before. Sounded amazing. I actually balled up in tears part way through. I've never been to the East Coast but I am Canadian and couldn't believe what happened. Thank you🙏

Beautifully done. We lost one of our own to a heart attack off the clock.
I’m so sorry.
Such truly beautiful piping!, my tears are rolling down my cheeks, happens every time, but your playing is wonderful. Scenery as always stunning and such lovely shots of those folks. Yes, they are gone for now but they are resting in peace, and here’s the thing, they will be back.
It's the same for me! My dog looking at me like, "what's wrong, mum?"

Thank You Dark Isle Bag Piper. My Favorite Song to hear on Bagpipes.Beautiful scenery and Beautiful tribute.May God Bless You Always.
My first hearing... My heart breaks yet again for a gentle touch here in a world so wrought with evil intent and cruel disregard for the sacredness of life. Bless you Dark Isle Angel. Amen.
❤️❤️ It’s a sad world... but music can heal this world and bring light into the darkness.
Even though it brings tears I had to come back because I wanted to hear you play. Even though it is in remembrance of tragedy and the senseless loss of so many lives it is the most beautiful rendition I have heard. It wrests the soul from darkness.
Purely beautiful. Perfect for my Sunday, and had to turn the volume to full.
Thank you x
A beautiful, heartfelt tribute to friends, family and loved ones whose lives were so senselessly cut short. To my fellow Canadians and anyone who is grieving a loss during these difficult times, my deepest condolences.
