It still annoys me that it took The Verve to realise there third album to be finally accepted as one of the greats. And that a hell of alot of people thought it was there debut. The first two are just as epic as Urban Hyms. If you had seen them back in 93/94 you would have been as blown away as i was. The Verve are one of the best bands ever imo. They do not get nowhere near the recognition they deserve.
Me and my girlfriend love this song. Unfortunately we live in different cities far away for work reasons. Every day I listen listen this song to feel close to her. Just thank you! I wait for a Verve reunion to see them live with her ❤️

While "BSW" was the leading hit-single off the "UH" LP, "S&T" is my fave The Verve song. Just stunning played live back then & then in later years at the festivals when they reformed.

They were the best indie band of this era and never fully got the acclaim they so richly deserved.
I was 17, it's unbelievable how this album really grew up deep in my brains. I can be 17 again just by listening Verve and it's so bitter sweet
Man the way he hits those last lines "ain't got no lullaby" is one of my favourite moments in a song period
