you painting vids are great! when you're doing your highlights how much are you thinning your paints? it looks like it goes on so clear as you work up your layers. when I've attempted this it always felt like everything was much thicker although I was using citadel paints and not ak is that perhaps why?
I do thin my paints; combination of moisture from the wet palette plus adding a little bit of water with my brush periodically (balancing out the moisture from the wet palette while counter-acting the fact that the paint dries over time since my studio is fairly dry air). I don't think the actual brand matters, although some brands are either more or less diluted out of the bottle/pot. It's one of those things you just kind of have to feel, and experience plays a lot, both with a brand/color as well as your own painting technique.
I'm not too impressed by the model itself, but there are some nice aspects with it. Don't know if the strange leg matters that much. The host, Flash, doesn't have any. They just look strange. Great tutorial though.
Maybe it's the artist/illustrator in me, but it peeves me when anatomy is done very poorly, and while the pose is cool, I just get bothered by the wonky legs/hips.
@@JohnathanHo I feel like the new Hulk suffers from the same issue with a leg. But that could just be the angle. Saw a mockup with switched legs and torsos of both the Hulks and felt like it improved everything.
Awesome video! Love your work!
Thank you very much!
