How to install pop-out rear windows in a Ford Econoline/E-Series van

Ford only offered these rear pop-out windows for a few years in the early 90's so they are becoming rare. Fortunately, they fit any year Econoline or E-Series van!

Have you had any leaking issues and if so cab you show how you pin point where the leak is and how fixed it. Thank you in advance for sharing!!

I haven't had any window leaks. I know as these vans age it can be common to get leaks through the 3rd brake light (I had that, see my video on it), or through the rear door seals, or the top of the window. Try using a hose or slowly pouring a bucket of water over the lowest suspected location first (top of rear windows), with a person inside to look for leaks, then on the top of the rear doors, then over the 3rd brake light.

Are the windows interchangeable? Are the left and right side the same ?

No, the left and right are different geometry

How far will the window open with no latch? Can they be opened more?

Maybe another inch or two. I've never tested that but I feel like there would be interference up near the hinges, like the top of the glass hitting the window frame.
