I was rather relieved when it became sort of official that she and saiki are an item now (see recent kanami insta post) I couldn't bear any outsider having the chance to mess with their heads. Mincho seems really fragile and saiki seems to be done with guys the venom she put into the lyrics for Hate? would certainly put me off taking any liberties. 😑
I am sincerely happy for Band-Maid. They really deserve the popularity and appreciation that they have. The level of their live performances is amazing. I hope that the organizers of the largest European and American festivals will watch this video and finally understand that Band-Maid should be the headliners and not a warm-up group.
Playing anywhere in Europe would be a bonus for people here. They've not been since 2019. As for festivals, headliners have always been about popularity.

From the Thrill MV where she was just holding the guitar to perform a solo with her signature Zemaitis is a big journey of determination and very hard work. She is a role model
I was watching the archive while in vc with a friend (who is also a big fan) and I remember freaking out over the Miku solo. His favorite song is Influencer and he demanded I stream it for him.
Holy shit man, this version is awesome! So fresh and crisp, and the new look! I'm loving the sound of that live recording. I can't wait for them to return to the USA
They are not just one of the few excellent rock bands today if one takes into consideration all aspects, in fact in the league and at the level of bands of the long history of rock; they are one of the very few rock bands that can be also very fun while being great and heartfelt. It's actually mind boggling, if one thinks about it: excellent musicianship yes, but also systematically fun... as in "AC/DC-fun". How many bands like this? in this moment I can't actually think of another....

I've been checking out other all female Rock bands recently. Even when they're good, very good even, they're not as inventive, complex, riff driven ot catchy. They have massive followings but at age 66 I am thinking "I could be listening to BandMaid ". See I only have a limited number of listens left and they are diviied up between Yoyoka Soma and her projects and BandMaid (and of course old prog rock). Love DYTM! This live version is superb but my ❤ belongs the th MV and all the Easter eggs.

Mincho and Dave Gilmour have had the biggest influence on my playing and musical direction with guitar. So yes, I think she is freaking amazing and not least because she wrote so much of their original music (once they were recording their own material). 💜🤍🖤
A couple years back I had Band-Maid cranked up at my home and the neighbors threw a brick through my front window so they could hear it better. Everyone loves Band-Maid!
I am loving all the vocal fry Saiki is using to spice up her performances recently. I first noticed it in the live version of Domination but she is really taking it to the next level recently. When I first started listening to them years ago, I always thought Saiki's vocals, while very powerful sounded a little poppy because they were so clean and clear. Hearing her sing this older song now she is just going full on rocker vocalist. I've said this about Band Maid before and I'll say it again. They are always getting better and better. Luv it!

There, even the distinction between good and evil is annihilated, and the black-and-white hell-angels work for the purification and salvation of souls... a terrifying, noble and evil figure. An endless evolution that renders even the word "art" obsolete. How is it that I still can't find enough words to describe them in a single word of praise? My musical 'wandering soul' seems to have been rescued by them.
I swear all the Gods and Goddesses of Thunder came to Earth and blessed MISA's axe, to deliver such a heavenly bass tone. And none more worthy the wield the mighty Black Cloud!
Saiki has grown through the years as a top-flight lead vocalist and frontwoman. She's right up there at the top of the heap in rock in my humble opinion. And her personality is just FIRE !!! I've been following rock since the late 1950's and she matches up with any of the greats and the scary part is that she's getting better !!

If you look at her live performances from their early years as opposed to say, then last concert in 2020 before covid shut everything down, there's a big difference. And then it got even better with the Okyu-Ji's they did during covid as they tried to recreate the small venue feel of their live shows. And when I saw them 3 times between 2022 and 2023 it had grown even more. But when they did "Don't You Tell Me" at the Yokohama finale show and she was strutting around the proscenium they set up close to the fans it was a totally new Saiki, to me at least. Like I said, I've seen a LOT of frontwomen over the years and Saiki is just special, in the same way Yuko Suzuhana of WGB is. They are both so electric when working the crowd. An incredible version of the first song off Just Bring It which is an album I truly adore. Band-Maid are the best prog hard rock band on the planet and have been so for many years now. It never gets old... every time MISA and Mincho are doing their 'battle'... then both turn to stage front and seamlessly flow back into the song.... ever since that first live MV of this song that got removed and now with this one.............. my heart jumps with joy and my eyes overflow.... never got that before I fell under Band-Maid's spell. So grateful for Miku's founding and guiding Band-Maid down their path into my heart and head!

今日（2024年12月25日）で72歳になりますが、来年5月のライブチケットをゲットしています。
2017年にたまたまyoutubeでThrillを見て衝撃を受け、そのまま沼に引きづり込まれました。2019年の名古屋ライブの時、隣に居たやはり年配の盟主さんと2018年zeppライブでのMinchoとMisaのバトルで話が盛り上がり、この二人も凄いがこのときのAkaneも素晴らしい、バトルが暴発するのを防ぐ素晴らしいドラミングだということで意見が一致しました。
YOKOHAMA ARENA は行けなかったが、このVIDEOを観て5月のライブがいよいよ楽しみになりました。オールスタンディングなので老体鞭打って踊りまくります。

One hell of a band. That Misa-Kanami duet was incredible. Band Mand is my favorite band of this decade.
さっき気づいたけど、KANAMIからソロに入るとこ、バトル無しバージョンは1小節くらい間をとって始めてるけど、バトル有りバージョンでは（以前のも含めて）すぐ始めてる。
今気づいたのはまだ一部だけど、ライブ用にバトル部分を挿入してるだけじゃなくて全体の流れバランスを考えてアレンジしてるようだ。
しかもこんな微妙なところはこだわって練習してないと出だしで間違えそう。
ほんとこのバンドはどこを切っても〇〇〇（誉め言葉が尽きた💦）🥰
SAIKI'S Vocals really are powerful !
Saiki has grown through the years as a top-flight lead vocalist and frontwoman. She's right up there at the top of the heap in rock in my humble opinion. And her personality is just FIRE !!! I've been following rock since the late 1950's and she matches up with any of the greats and the scary part is that she's getting better !!
@@michaelzitz771 I have watched SAIKI since the beginning of her career & a little before , not much I don't know about her , but yes her Voice has gotten much more controlled and she just keeps getting better !
@@EdwardBarnes-z4w It's not just her voice, it's her stage presence. I probably worded my original comment incorrectly. If you look at her live performances from their early years as opposed to say, then last concert in 2020 before covid shut everything down, there's a big difference. And then it got even better with the Okyu-Ji's they did during covid as they tried to recreate the small venue feel of their live shows. And when I saw them 3 times between 2022 and 2023 it had grown even more. But when they did "Don't You Tell Me" at the Yokohama finale show and she was strutting around the proscenium they set up close to the fans it was a totally new Saiki, to me at least. Like I said, I've seen a LOT of frontwomen over the years and Saiki is just special, in the same way Yuko Suzuhana of WGB is. They are both so electric when working the crowd. An incredible version of the first song off Just Bring It which is an album I truly adore. Band-Maid are the best prog hard rock band on the planet and have been so for many years now. It never gets old... every time MISA and Mincho are doing their 'battle'... then both turn to stage front and seamlessly flow back into the song.... ever since that first live MV of this song that got removed and now with this one.............. my heart jumps with joy and my eyes overflow.... never got that before I fell under Band-Maid's spell. So grateful for Miku's founding and guiding Band-Maid down their path into my heart and head!
