Yes Moon and Sun are Mom and Dad. Because being a parents is a 24-hour job. That’s what Justin explained in one interview. Justin is the youngest member of SB19 and also the Creative Director/Consultant of their MVs/LVs.
Yeap started with a paper boat, a journey. Usually filipino kids would play with paper boats before gadgets haha. Then it changed to a paper airplane another journey but i guess we can relate this to growing up. From boat to plane. I think the plants are also symbolic to life, from childhood to adulthood and sadly when plants wither, the end. And i like how mapa has multiple meanings in this song., ma = mom pa= dad, mapa = tagalog for map. Map= life journey, ma, pa = mom and dad preparing kids for the journey..
MaPa- Mama and Papa Mapa- Map (english) parents is our guide. they direct us to the right path MaPa- MAta (eyes) and PAa (feet) our mother is our eyes and our father is our feet when we're about to give up. he will stand us up pahinga muna or rest now can be rest for now. stop worrying about everything, enjoy your life now. its my turn to give back and also for those who lost their parents. rest now.
Ken was the one who sang the low notes received a message that his grandmother died while recording this song....that's why its sounded like his about to cry...his grandmother was the one who stands as his mother/father(mapa)... mapa by the way is a word play of MAma - papa, MAta (eyes) - PAa (feet) and MAPA(map).... Mama being their eyes .. Papa their feet... and both as their map ,their guide so that they wont lose their way..
SB19 is brilliant in song writing. Their songs are meaningful and all about positivity. They just don’t sing and dance for you. They are the brains behind the talent. Their live performances will be worth your reaction too. Their powerful vocals and harmonization don’t disappoint. Regarding the Philippines’ map orientation, “NSWE” is also used. And you’re right, “MAPA” was a word play shown on the video’s map.
seed blooming into the plant is a reference for the whole EP (Pagsibol) growth/ germination. SB19 Justin (creative director) usually gives hints in all their mv for all their singles in the album to symbolize continuity.
@@OmarioRpgReacts you are actually right in here. Aside from hinting at the EP theme, the paper boat that turned into a paper plane symbolises the children and they are ok a journey called life. Throughout the journey of the paper boat, he leaves blooming plants which signifies the growth he is undergoing and the dreams he want to take care so it can grow (he can achieve it). Then by the climax of the song, the paper boat turned into a paper plane showing that it was able to go somewhere higher (success) but in the end it reverted back to being a boat coz at the end of the day, after all the success we get, no matter how high we are now, we are still the same as when we started, the children of our parents and nothing's gonna change that.

MAPA =MAma & PApa MAPA = MAP in eglish = MaPa they are our guide in this world MA= MAta - eyes PA = PAa - feet. * Very genius WORLD PLAY * Very good LYRICIST
I appreciate your reaction so much I subscribed. Thank you! Thanks also for appreciating our language. Filipino (same word for the language and nationality) lends itself well to song and rap. SB19’s leader Pablo wrote and co-produced MaPa. Very talented lyricist in this group. The youngest, who sang the first verse for Mama, conceptualised the entire lyric video. Justin is their creative director and also did the MV of What? The LV is open to interpretation but basically, you’d start life slowly, like a boat or a sprout, even keel, steady growth. Then you gain momentum and fly and/or blossom. Near the end, you slow down again and return to your roots. Nice you noticed the tired eyes. Did you see they shed tears which water the sprouts to help them grow?
Thank you for your very informative insights... But you might want to also react to the band version of this song, an SB19 collaboration with the band Ben & Ben... It gives a happier vibe to the song. It was sang live, and shot at the newly renovated Metropolitan Theater, a turn of the century Theater where vaudeville shows used to be shown before WW2. You will enjoy it, promise😇
LTaratara is how mothers sing "imagine"d" songs without proper yrics to their children to sleep. They sing it also to make up for forgotten lyrics. Mapa is a thank you song for our parents who help us shape and map our live and prepared us for the future.
Don't know if someone already mentioned this but I think they thought the perfect music video for this song is the one playing in your head while listening to it - your memories with your parents.
Thank you very much for the reaction! 😊You're correct! It is a word play so basically MaPa = Mama and Papa mapa = tagalog term for map ma(ta) and pa(a) = in the song it says our moms are our eyes (mata) and our dads are our feet (paa) This song is a tribute to our parents or parent figure in our lives who guided us (like our map). SB19 basically says, now that they can stand for themselves they do not forget their MaPa who guided them and that it's their turn to take care of them now (like giving back).
Idk if I'm the first one, but I think the grass and flowers represents the tears, blood and sweat that our parents spent just by raising us. The petal falling from the flower means that the they won't always be with us so don't waste your time and spent time with them while they're still alive. The paper boat at first means we are down, and yet our parents raised us until we become a plane, then at the end, we have to know or remember where we came from, that's why it came back in being a boat.
MaPa and most of their songs were written and composed by their leader PABLO.. It’s a tribute song for their parents (Ma,Pa) who guided/ directed them [ Map] throughout most of their lives. Thanks for a very thoughtful/insightful reactions to this song.. Hoping for more reactions from you..
if i may add, the line on the first part of the vid, it represents the child's first heart beat. from birth, your parents have been thier for you. from your conception.
It's a paper boat to signify one's journey. It means that however far you've come, you know where to go back to, life leads you back home. Parents are one's map, in a manner of speaking. It's kind of mentioned in the song as well. 'Mapa' is Filipino for map. Also, there's a play of words 'Ma, Pa', which you know as Mom, Dad or Mama, Papa.
Mapa means Map. In the video, a paper boat is traveling around the map. Also, if you cut the syllables of Mapa, it changes the meaning to Ma = Mom, Pa = Dad. The song is dedicated to their parents for the teachings taught to them while growing up. The teaching is like a map or guidelines now that they are an adult. And they want to tell their parents it’s now their turn to take care of them. So relax and let them do the listing.
The seeds growing represents the child growing, the paper plane and boat represents the child's journey in life. The lyrics tells that the child appreciates the sacrifices the parents made, it can be interpreted differently: Here are the few interpretation I made: 1) The parents are poor who sacrifices a lot to give their child/ren a good future and the child finally takes over the finances to help the parent 2) The child may be struggling with bad decision making his/her parents worry but finally decided to grow up and takes over his/her own life
The seeds represent the effort or the learnings and also the hardwork by their parents.. flowers represents the seeds planted by parents bloomed already because of their children. MAPA also have a double meaning MAP. That the children will never be lost because they hold the MAP and also represent as Mama&PaPa or Mom and Dad.
if i would interpret the paper boat passes and a trail of blooming seed coming out, it would represent the child was influnced by thier parents and where ever they go, they will always leave a trail of how they where brought as a child to how they are now which in turn, the child now bears the burden to leave a fruitly trail for the next buds to follow as those seed grow, the future generations to follow.

Thanks for your reaction. Now that you have appreciated the lyrics, you can now enjoy the band version where they sang this live with Ben&Ben band. It has a more celebratory feel but the message is the same.
Lataratara, it tells the journey of his life. From his childhood with Ma and Pa (it is a short word from Spanish language of respect to our parent)....until he became adult and decided its time for him to support his Ma and Pa by going somewhere and work and to let his parent relaxed.

I hope you can react also to their song ikako, its for the frontliners. Looking forward to it
I appreciate your reaction so much I subscribed.
I didnt notice it thats beautiful 😥❤
Lataratara it’s a lullaby that parents used to sing when you are baby
I cry a lot.
Very touching "mapa"my mama and papa already passed away this year
So really feel sad
Latara taratara is just a lullaby parents are humming when they try to make a baby sleep
Thank you for reacting sb19 hope for more sb19 videos po next is the live performance of MAPA in Kalayaan po you will heard ken's low voice po
Lataratara is one of humming lullabies sang by our parents especially our mom's to put us to sleep.
That song is tribute to our loving parents
Don't know if someone already mentioned this but I think they thought the perfect music video for this song is the one playing in your head while listening to it - your memories with your parents.
Thank you very much for the reaction! 😊You're correct! It is a word play so basically
MaPa = Mama and Papa
mapa = tagalog term for map
ma(ta) and pa(a) = in the song it says our moms are our eyes (mata) and our dads are our feet (paa)
This song is a tribute to our parents or parent figure in our lives who guided us (like our map). SB19 basically says, now that they can stand for themselves they do not forget their MaPa who guided them and that it's their turn to take care of them now (like giving back).
#SB19 PabloStellJoshJustinKen forever ❤🎉😊
i just subscribed.. thank u.. we really love sb19
Thanks for reacting. #SB19 #Mapa
The song really hits the heart. Opens our love for our parents and just let it flow out
Its KEN low voice, thats my favorite part too
Agreed about the Filipino language, most beautiful, I'm bias am afraid. ❤🙏
Lataratara part is a lullaby to their parents. Like, hush... It's alright, i got you.
Thanks so much and yeah I now realise how smart that is
Thanks for your reaction, please try to watch their 3 new songs BAZINGA with MV lyrics, MANA, and SLMT. Amazing song too of SB19.
if i may add, the line on the first part of the vid, it represents the child's first heart beat. from birth, your parents have been thier for you. from your conception.
New sub here.. thanks...
Welcome!
The lyrics tells that the child appreciates the sacrifices the parents made, it can be interpreted differently:
Here are the few interpretation I made:
1) The parents are poor who sacrifices a lot to give their child/ren a good future and the child finally takes over the finances to help the parent
2) The child may be struggling with bad decision making his/her parents worry but finally decided to grow up and takes over his/her own life
Thank you so much A'tin love you
They have an explosive online concert this August 1 7:30 PH time. The concert director is SB19 Justin.
Lataratara just like lalalalala,
The seeds represent the effort or the learnings and also the hardwork by their parents.. flowers represents the seeds planted by parents bloomed already because of their children. MAPA also have a double meaning MAP. That the children will never be lost because they hold the MAP and also represent as Mama&PaPa or Mom and Dad.
Thank u for saying that tagalog is a beautiful laguaget
"Lataratara" is a lullaby sung by parents to their children. Usually no meaning.
Lataratara is a lullaby.
if i would interpret the paper boat passes and a trail of blooming seed coming out, it would represent the child was influnced by thier parents and where ever they go, they will always leave a trail of how they where brought as a child to how they are now which in turn, the child now bears the burden to leave a fruitly trail for the next buds to follow as those seed grow, the future generations to follow.
