Thats why he is still respected today and still playing to big audiences. He stuck to his own sound and didnt bend for the trend.
As a long time fan, I disagree. There have been many different eras of sound.
@@SN-cb9xj Between his solo albums and Dinosaur Jr there's certainly a lot of differences but the core recipe is the same. A myriad of fuzz pedals, Marshalls, and a Fender Tele/Jazzmaster.

J just continues to blow my mind as he has since I discovered Green Mind in 1991. My buddy Stephi and I call ourselves otters because we love to free dive and surf on Maui. His last two videos feature otters in his art swimming in the ocean. Mind. Blown. And J FREAKING CAME TO MAUI AND PLAYED TO A 1/4 HOUSE. I almost got kicked out for mashing in the isle 🤣. How fate is that for my 8th time seeing him live? He didn't give a s*** that people had no idea what genius had come to the island. He rocked it as hard as he always does. I love you J. In a strange world of smoke and mirrors where the guitar solo is dead, J is the beating heart that reminds us of how life should be.

same. Song has a getting older and getting on type of melancholy to it. I love to know the meaning(s) behind this song. The get up everyday and try part hits... I was in a bad spot in the late 80s early 90s and ended up nearly dying in Madison Wisconsin at 18. Followed the Dead who my father worked for in the early 70s-80s and met some heavy hitters. I cant believe I got out of that alive.. you just have to try.
Like any J project; Listen to it 10 times before any judgement! Always grows and becomes more organic. It is uncanny like that. The more times you listen to his tunes the more they make sense.
