Final Girl looks really cool. I just opened my copy, can't wait to play. I've ordered a couple from Noble Knight, great place. I'm going to have to get down there... it's only a two hour drive... Really like your channel, keep up the great work.

Thanks! Got both of these played now and had fun with both of them. Likely gonna need to get more Final Girl now too...

i’ve purchased two used games from them. There was no indication that any of the pieces were broken ahead of time. Both instances the game showed up with horrible packaging, loose miniatures, which had several broken pieces floating around the box. It was as if somebody just dumped the miniatures in the box to float around inside. Possible lack of quality control here too many other places to buy games from so I’ve moved on.

Ah wow, that's surprising to hear, I've never had an issue. Likely they were used copies that the original owners hadn't packaged up well, but that's no excuse for not checking before sending out. I hope that they were at least good about making things right afterwards. I've had pretty good interactions with their customer service.

I played Final Girl, still didn't enjoy as it was more luck than I wish. Didn't like Hostage Negotiators as well. I do understand why the luck factor is in the game as it's fitting for the setting and theme.
Never heard of Hickory so will be interesting to see.
Thanks for the presentation and summary. Thanks for being transparent with the sponsorship.

Agreed on the randomness in Final Girl, though I'm digging it quite a bit, whereas I didn't really like Hostage Negotiator at all. Hickory Dickory may or may not have long term appeal for solo, but I enjoyed my first play and like what they're doing with the jump on jump off rondel.

@@PurpleMoosePlays Final Girl's luck factor can actually be mitigated to a high degree. It's more skill-based than it looks. The fact that before having some experience with it, you end up losing badly to randomness kind of thematically represents the rash decisions of the genre's characters (i.e. going for a bunch of actions on instinct without, literal, planning). It's a game that must be played very carefully and rewards that way. To the point that you almost end up losing track of the theme when you start thinking of everything in term of action economy and opportunity costs, but it's not a bad thing.
